@Erich: that's not true. There is no racing league like Formula 1 and porsche has a little, tiny history in that. What I mean is that if you win races by playing videogames and I win on the track, it doesn't mean we have the same number of wins :)

This Vette is an inspiring beautiful car, but dont let it get to your head. Can't compare a Ferrari with a vette. Scuderia Ferrari participates only in F1 and is the most rewarded team in history. Ferraris racing elsewhere are private teams.

In fact, one year the C5R won every single race in the season. We always dominate on the race track against Porsche, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Saleen. Ho watch ALMS, Corvette Racing is unstoppable. And the C7R will continue tradition.
People forget that Corvette has its own racing team and program, and they incorporate all knowledge learned from racing into their road cars. Corvette racing has over 72 wins in the ALMS, and 8 championships, the most of any team in history.
This car has so many new features that are a first for a mass production vehicle. It's unbelievable at the amount of time and engineering spent making this car a pure driving machine. The Z06 or Z07 version will be incredibly fast.
This has way more straight edges than a viper. Vipers are more curvy. They look similar because they are in the same market as each other. The Vette wins for me

Justin don't forget that the base stingray is as fast as the current grand sport, and if u get the z51 package its faster on the track then the out going z06.

@Johnny i bet this would still be quicker around a track with 450hp. The outgoing Z06 and Zr1 were quicker than any road legal ferrari around the ring. And the Z06 only had 505hp haha
I love the Vette but when you have the money for a Ferrari you're not just looking for speed (even though its faster). I'd buy either if I had the money. Btw if anything I'd have an Aventador.
This car is going to have 450hp. The 458 has 560+. Don't compare them. The Ferrari is a clear piece of engineering masterpiece. This is just a fast car. Tell me which would go faster around a track regardless of hp.
And the gtr is not better quality then the vette, cheap materials doesn't mean poor quality, they both are great quality cars.. personally I think cars like the viper,vette,gtr are more important to the performance world then Ferrari and Lamborghini.. everyone expects a car to be fast when your paying that kind of money, vette, viper and gtr show u don't have to spend a but load of money to have ...
Victor the vette is not just a track car, u can comfortably use them as daily drivers, that's the glory of the corvette, super car performance, crazy reliability , good gas milage and they don't cost an arm and leg to buy or maintain.. I don't think Ferrari are junk, just don't like the price tag is justified just because of a badge on the front, and yes the gtr is an amazing car And I do love the...
I would never buy a car as an investment, cars are built to be driven not sit in a drive way so u can say u have a Ferrari u drive once in a blue moon, in 20 years the Chevy and ford will still be running and still be reliae and wouldn't have cost a small fortune to keep it that way.. and if 90% of Chevy and ford go to the garbage then why are there tons of old ass Chevy, ford and Dodge still runn...

It's not fair when comparing pricing with a Ferrari. Two different types of companies, manufacturing techniques, practices, etc. One example: When one company can build tens of thousands of one car a year compared to another's few hundred...
@ Mark; it should be priced at 80k... You guys pay $ for the name of Ferrari, which makes you an exclusive owner, whereas you can pay a little more then half of that and get a faster car just to track/have fun in, which happens to be a lil faster.
And if ferrari is waist of money then what would you say about chevy, look at residuals, Vette in 20 years will be just another chevy but Ferrari is still Ferrari. And as time goes on Ferrari appreciate and for 90% of chevy they go to garbage.
I agree with you for most part. I owned many Ferrari and the quality, the feel and overall car can't be compared to ford chevy, if we are going to talk about more bang for your buck then look at Nissan GTR it's faster better quality and it's cheaper.

Would feather have something that worth the money, I find Ferrari a waste of money, they do nothing better then a vette but have a supposably nicer interior, other then the interior the Ferrari and lambo are inferior to the vette, its more reliable, has better performance and cost way less
Did Chevy release the pricing yet? It's the most important thing to determine its great car or the average.

Yeah leaks from the day before the unveiling show just how similar this and the viper are up front. But the rest is its own. I love it. I'd rather have the Viper but for half the money...I'd get two Vettes.
I'm just saying the front fascia looks like a Viper. The headlights and grille look extremely alike.

To every one that keeps saying it looks like the viper, the concept rendering for this car has been around long before any one saw the new viper, this car is extremely close to the rendering minus some fine details, so in reality if anyone copied someone its the viper copying the vette, but if u think they look alike there is something wrong with your eyes. Period

Alex, I've seen others say that too. I personally don't see it, but ten again I think the Viper is hideous while I REALLY, like how this looks (minus the taillights).

I liked the c6 back. And I like this one even more, change is ok as long as it looks good.
Every time I talk to vette owners only complaint they had was the back end, the round tail lights are corvette, but they have been on the car forever, it was time for a change and I think they picked a perfect back end, its angry and aggressive and now matches the pist off front end
@William: I've literally never heard anyone complain about the Vette having round taillights, they've been implemented really well into each generation. That being said, I'm glad Chevy mixed it up with the C7, this new rear looks great IMO.

If they carried the body color down the center of that lower black facia it would help break up that area
Speak for your self, cause one of the major complaints from vette owners and potential buyers was the round tail lights,I love the new back end looks fantastic and now matches the corvettes aggressive looks and rediculious performance, with each gen the vette just gets more perfect in every way

That's cause all 3 of them have had problems with there v6, that and in the last 4 years all 3 company's have gone threw major overhauls in there entire automotive line, Chrysler got new engines and tech from fiat, ford finished developing there Eco boost line and Chevy made a lot of progress with there ecotech motors, Toyota will replace the v6 when they do the next change to there entire line u...
ford gm and Chrysler have all come out with brand new v6s in the past 3-4 years
There is nothing wrong with the current V6. No manufacture wants to re-invent the wheel. They build an engine and improve on it. A new engine could be costly and initially unreliable.
The family may be 6 years old but Toyota has continully upgraded the engine, they just recently did an over haul on it when they launched the new camry
Unless ISF comes with a manual transmission and offer a coup version, it will never compete to a M3

I would buy an M3 over this, not because of the badge on it, but because of how much better looking it is inside and out, and because the performance is probably better.

This looks great I always like Cadillac designs so different from every other company you'd never mistake one for something else.
There are shutters In the grill to keep air from coming through they switch on and off at certain times to improve aerodynamics
Soon Antonio will realize his opinion isn't the same as everyone's. IMO Caddy grills are some of the best looking out there.
Don't forget that this is a hybrid. Do any hybrid grills look good? I like caddy grills.

Audi finally figured out that people knew this engine made more stallions than they advertised.
It's probably an 8 speed with one of those fake manual shifting modes that in no way is that close to what a dual clutch is.

Audi parts are ridiculous. Mine came w/ summer tires b/c of the sports package. Had to change to winter and they don't make winter tires for my rims, ended up buying winter rims and tires & cost 5k USD, forget about Quattro w/ summer tires, useless.
I'm a slight fan of audi, but 70k is too damn expensive. and plus those replacement parts omg agony to replace.

It's a shame this is FWD. it could've morphed in a real a alternative to the BMW 3's and Audi 4's.
