Comments - Jeep Wrangler Pickup Still Possible

Published: Jan 19, 2013

If they refreshed the 4.7 and got a little more power out of it it would be great
Patrick Schalk Jan 19, 2013
Well I wouldn't want the 4.7 in it. The Cummins won't fit and they wouldn't put the 6.4 Hemi in it. The new diesel would be nice too that's gonna be in the GC. But not everyone will want a diesel.
Jack Howard Jan 19, 2013
They could put the diesel from the new Grand Cherokee
Jack Howard Jan 19, 2013
At least the 5.7? But that's the top of the line engine for the Ram.
Patrick Schalk Jan 19, 2013
I'd say at least put the 5.7 Hemi in it.
Jimmy Williams Jan 19, 2013
Put a small Cummins I-6 in and this should sell amazingly. As awful as the compact pickup truck market is right now, it's finally the perfect time.
Tom Ippolito Jan 19, 2013
I thought the reason they haven't built it is because the Toledo plant wouldn't be able to handle the new model without upgrading it in some way. I know they're barely keeping up with demand as it is.
Daniel Kenneth Babler Jan 19, 2013
Manley CEO for a manly brand... I like it!
John Atnip Jan 19, 2013
I'm ready for these to make a triumphant return! I'd go buy one in a heartbeat.
Antonio Falsetti Jan 19, 2013
As soon as jeep release a truck with a Cummins engine and a manual trans I'm buying it.
Alex Bouckley Jan 19, 2013
And they look cool too!
Wayne Joseph Borean Jan 19, 2013
Jeep pickups used to be really useful in the farm, far more versatile than a full size pickup, and far more robust than the small size pickups everyone was building.
Richard Nichols Jan 25, 2013
It's ok, I'll let you off!
Krack Shot Jan 24, 2013
Oh crap I forgot about the defender! Hmm I feel like a ass
Mike Renaut Jan 20, 2013
Yeah, good looking truck. Why not?
Jacob Burford Jan 20, 2013
I'm not a truck guy, but this is sweet!
Jordan Nishida Jan 20, 2013
Looks great. Jeep should make this I think.
Vlad Lukyan Jan 19, 2013
Take that wheel off
Matt Piccolo Jan 19, 2013
That looks really stupid lol.
Aaron Crisp Jan 19, 2013
Make it! I promise I'll buy it!
William Downs Jan 19, 2013
Krack he said a LR defender, that's far from a yuppy truck, defenders are monsters, but that's the only LR I would ever wanna own
Lizmary Mendoza Jan 19, 2013
My dad just bought one. Bright Orange. With aftermarket black rims. Looks amazing. Shit I'm jealous
Mark Fei Ling Jan 19, 2013
Make it real, please!
John Serely Jan 19, 2013
Looks very good. Actually, make a factory-kit for the mighty FC and id be happy
Krack Shot Jan 19, 2013

rowhan116 Jan 19, 2013

Chris Martinez Jan 19, 2013
4 doors 5seats and I will like it
John Atnip Jan 19, 2013
I'd take it! Looks awesome
Jolyon Waterfallen Jan 19, 2013
It cool
Richard Nichols Jan 19, 2013
I wouldn't I go for a landrover defender.
Cory Allen Jan 19, 2013
This vehicle should already be on the streets.
Derek Soanes Jan 19, 2013
I think they should give it four full doors
Bader Al Ajeel Jan 19, 2013
Me too
Jommel Marcella Jan 19, 2013
I'd get one.
Description: However, it is currently being set aside for two other priority models. Referring to the upcoming Liberty successor and reborn Wagoneer, Manley stated that "Adding a smaller vehicle at the bottom...

A) There's very little/no chance a new Wrangler is due in '15 with sales still so high and a very recent refresh. B) I'm with Michael!
Michael Page Jan 19, 2013
Wtf jeep! The wrangler/cj has always been your backbone. You had the 4 door wrangler concept in the 90's but didn't pull the trigger till '07! And it sold like crazy!(got one) Make a removable hardtop truck version with a small diesel! And MT!
Trevor Brown Jan 19, 2013
Is the next-gen Wrangler really due in 2015, or is Carbuzz just making up numbers again? The YJ came out in 1987, TJ in 1997, and JK in 2007, so I'm assuming we won't see the next Wrangler until 2017.
John Atnip Jan 19, 2013
I'd love to see Jeep bring back some of the more classic models like the Wagoneer, and a pickup like the Scrambler. It's such a great brand!
Jordan Nishida Jan 20, 2013
Joe Marasa Jan 19, 2013
I actually like it, I was afraid it was going to look to "out of the box" like other car companies. But Chrysler kept it simple and practical. Might get it after paying off my Avenger.
Stas Allen Jan 19, 2013
This is a good idea Chrysler! Now why aren't you doing it?
Patrick Schalk Jan 19, 2013
Same here Aaron. I'd love love a crew cab Wrangler.
Aaron Crisp Jan 19, 2013
Idk about you guys but it gets very annoying going camping and having no place for the firewood when we take the Wranglers out! Of course we make it work but I would definitely buy a Wrangler pickup.
Derek Soanes Jan 19, 2013
Yea they should put the spare on the back
Chad Germaine Jan 19, 2013
Does anyone else think the drivers side mirror would be useless?
John Atnip Jan 19, 2013
The point of a Jeep truck isn't so much as using it like a traditional truck, but its a niche vehicle. It's for people who want a jeep with the ability to have a bed for whatever reason. It's a great idea personally.
Jackson Michael Jan 19, 2013
It's kinda ugly but that doesn't matter at all if it works as well as expected
William Downs Jan 19, 2013
The h3 pick up failed cause it was a piece of shit, its bed was useless, and the truck in general was extremly bad, was basically an over weight and ugly taho shoved onto the frame from a Chevy Colorado, doomed to fail from the start
Antonio Falsetti Jan 19, 2013
I think it's perfect. Offer different cab and bed sizes so we have options. It's smaller bed then a pickup but still a full size truck.
Dale Schroeder Jan 19, 2013
The H3 pickup (if you can call it that) was more akin to the Honda Ridgeline. There's still a huge following for small pickups like the Ranger and S-10, and if done correctly this would sell like hotcakes.
Andy Kleschick Jan 19, 2013
Ok that just looks wrong. They need to look at the h3 pickup for advice and predictions of sales.
Michael Beach Jan 20, 2013
It's so incredibly ugly
Jordan Nishida Jan 20, 2013
My kind of jeep.
Jack Hufford Jan 19, 2013
So much better without the wheel on the side.
John Patten Jan 19, 2013
I like.
Jordan Nishida Jan 20, 2013
Love it. My favorite jeep
Connor Scanlon Jan 19, 2013
I really like this
Antonio Falsetti Jan 19, 2013
Nice ground clearance.
Bader Al Ajeel Jan 19, 2013
The rear reminds me of tundra and colorado
