Description: Acura continues to tease us at this year's Detroit Motor Show by showing a new concept version of its upcoming NSX hybrid supercar, due for production as a 2015MY. But unlike last year's Det...Add Comments4
Ben KnorrJan 20, 2013 That's because the power numbers are gonna be lame.
Jake TrumbullJan 17, 2013 It's lame that they are withholding power numbers
William DownsJan 18, 2013 Dont hate on something u dont fully understand just cause u dont see it as a performance option
William DownsJan 18, 2013 Better then electric cars and boring ass hybrids, diesel is a proven technologhy in both mpg and performance, and with current diesel technology there also better for the eviroment. Then gas and electric power trains
James SalabaJan 17, 2013 V8 or v10 it doesn't matter! So what's next diesel f1 maybe diesel wrx! Haha!
William DownsJan 17, 2013 Really so then why has audi dominated le mans with its diesel race car, dont be anignorent fool about something just because u dont see it as a performance options, that and im not ahige fan of v12's mhch preffer the sound of a v8 or a v10
James SalabaJan 17, 2013 Common people you would really pick a diesel supercar over v12 petrol? Diesel is designed to do mileage like a business car or taxi not a sport car! I don't wanna offend anyone but that's just wrong!
Jesse JalapenoJan 17, 2013 I agree with William.. I'm a diesel fan, I think it would be awesome.. And it would sound good..
William DownsJan 17, 2013 I agree with the hybrid part but totakky disagree with the diesel part, diesel super car will be a monster... specially with audi and there diesel racing dominance from Le mans
James SalabaJan 17, 2013 Thanks Jacob at least one who is agree with me supercar is petrol only! Not hybrids and certainly not diesel (Audi r8)!
Jacob BurfordJan 16, 2013 Another Acura I will pass! Looks alright, but hybrid technology in a supercar is a turnoff!
Erich EngelJan 16, 2013 vvvv generalizations are always correct
William DownsJan 16, 2013 20" inch rims look good on nothing unless it came stock in that size
Author Norman R. ColsonJan 16, 2013 @CB first of all. I dont like oversized rims. there's a difference between big rims and crazy sized rims. 20's looks right on certain cars as well as 18's. There's nothing wrong with an auto. so please just hop off my jock.
Colin CatonJan 16, 2013 I'll take the Ford Focus ST back there
Colt EklundJan 16, 2013 Ugh, change the wheels back!
Phil MartiniJan 16, 2013 I work for Acura & this car is down right ugly. The Front, back, side & wheels are garbage. There is nothing original about this car. Exterior front & sides looks very similar to McLaren mp4-12c. And the interior is straight outta the aventador.
James SalabaJan 16, 2013 Looks quiet ok but I would take the NSX from 90s over this one anytime! Cant beat the pop up lights!
Author Norman R. ColsonJan 16, 2013 @aaron, I'm not hating completely on hybrids but seriously the only reason in mad is that they put these hybrid engines in exotic supercars which raises the price crazy high, if they went with a v8-10, it would be affordable.
Maaz KhanJan 16, 2013 I agree with you Justin on the grill part... Also Love the look of this NSX, so amazing
Jesse JalapenoJan 16, 2013 @Ron..that was my first thought too
Justin McLeodJan 16, 2013 At first I hated the latest gen TL's beak nose, and the redesign looked better. But over time it's kinda grown on me, call me crazy but I like the original big beak nose now more than the smaller redesign. I like the Ron Jon grille most of all though
Justin McLeodJan 16, 2013 I think the front end of this thing is GORGEOUS. I have a 07 TL-S and IMO those gen TL's & TSX's had the best looking grilles. They were simple, stylish, sleek and to the point with no nonsense. Why update something that doesn't need to be changed?
Ron VinsonJan 16, 2013 Still looks like a R8 clone overall.
Jack HowardJan 16, 2013 I used to hate the beak grill but they toned it way down and made it pretty nice
Aaron SparksJan 16, 2013 I for one think that we're about to witness the last years of the supercar and possibly the car as we know it. Cars have always excited us in the past no matter what method they use for propulsion. The future will be no different.
Aaron SparksJan 16, 2013 Get used to hybrids because we're all going to be driving some variation of one in the future. Besides, there's a potential for better performance with hybrids coupled with greater efficiency. Why not have your cake and eat it too?
Author Norman R. ColsonJan 16, 2013 And also why a hybrid engine why not a regular one?!? Tired of hybrids
Matt PiccoloJan 16, 2013 I honestly don't notice the beak. I think It actually accents the car well. And it's a lot smaller than some the beaks on other acura's (but I don't mind the so called beak grill)
William DownsJan 16, 2013 I do like the car alot but every time i look at the frontthat beak just steals my eye and kills it for me, and the back i think needs a redesign, does not match the agressive front end at all
John SerelyJan 16, 2013 William your right about the beak thing
Carlton SalmonJan 16, 2013 @ William. Totally agree with you on the bird beak thing but it seems as though they've toned it down a little on this version. I think the last one was chrome if I recall...
William DownsJan 16, 2013 Its nice looking but i hate thatbacura bird beak thing its got going on and the back end is less then appealing, just dosnt match the front imo
Matt PiccoloJan 16, 2013 If this goes into production like this, I wouldn't hesitate to say it would b the best looking car on the market. This thing is so f**king sexy!
Matt MarchantJan 16, 2013 Still hate it, I'll take the old one over this hybrid shit any day.
Description: And all we can say is well done. Very well done indeed. Like its sleek exterior design, the interior features beautiful styling thanks to what the automaker calls a "Human Support Cockpit" ...Add Comments2
Maaz KhanJan 17, 2013 Wierd ending with the Nsx on the mountain lol
Description: The overall design is clean and modern but it's also damn sexy. Acura claims there's excellent visibility, an "exotic driving position" (their words), and a user interface screen t...Add Comments4
Chase FeckoJan 16, 2013 I wish..... I just really like the old nsx.
Phil MartiniJan 16, 2013 I wish they'd hire new designers
Dave LarbyJan 16, 2013 Those wheels make me want to puke... They are circus ugly!!
Derrick McCarthyJan 16, 2013 The wheels are hideous I say, they don't look round!
Dayan Fernandez BatistaJan 16, 2013 One car I would like to have! In my opinion, it looks like a sharper Audi R8, but still very well done as it is right now.
Chris McCormickJan 16, 2013 From the side it almost looks like a Honda accord
Dylan ArmsJan 16, 2013 Yeah this car is perfect except for the wheels, but it looks like they might be functional, maybe channeling air toward the brakes? It looks like it has like fins on it
Oleg OdessitJan 16, 2013 On the profile it looks like nothing new at all, maybe its the color and those hopeless rims
Mic WongJan 16, 2013 I want to know to reason of those weird wheels...
Author Norman R. ColsonJan 16, 2013 @aaron, I thought jay Leno had the first new nsx concept that was premiered a while back what the hell? There are 2 models?
Stephen Tyler LearnJan 16, 2013 This car reminds me a lot of the tru 140s or whatever Chevrolet concept that came out last year. Of course the nsx is mechanically leaps and bounds ahead of the Chevy they have similar side profiles
Darian VorlickJan 16, 2013 Definitely see styling cues from the current honda lineup. It's more that we're seeing a bit of the NSX in the Accord given that manufacturers tend to stylize their lineup with motifs from flagship concept cars it's not surprising.
Ben NortonJan 16, 2013 I do see accord. The last nsx looked like a race car to me. This is very mild in my opinion
Jack HowardJan 16, 2013 I seriously doubt anyways would make that connection
Jesse JalapenoJan 16, 2013 Not sure what Dave is trying to say..
Matt PiccoloJan 16, 2013 I love the rear. I don't want them to change it at all. And @ Dave, uh ok?
Dave RainJan 16, 2013 "It's that a new accord?"
"No, it's the new NSX."
William DownsJan 16, 2013 I agree with Darryle the back when compared to the front is extremly boring, hopefully they fix that before production.. its to safe looking to be honest
Jackson MichaelJan 16, 2013 Someone is a little grumpy this morning
Darryle MoodyJan 16, 2013 The rear treatment is borderline sad looking. The diffuser is angled outwardly instead of vertically. Does not appear well conceived.
Ben KnorrJan 17, 2013 hmmm where have I seen this interior before...ah yes, the LFA. how lame.
Tyler TarboxJan 16, 2013 Neither of y'all will be banned. The only people who get banned are the ones that come along ever so often that literally everyone hates
tylergrandstaffJan 16, 2013 wow how did I get to the drama club. the interior is flat out ugly
Matt PiccoloJan 16, 2013 @ Patrick, what would I get banned for? Ur the one who's always being an ignorant a-hole :-)
Patrick SchalkJan 16, 2013 Haha I'm not the king of CarBuzz but I appreciate that. I'm not gonna get banned for what I do to Matt. He will get banned before just being typical Matt.
Matt PiccoloJan 16, 2013 Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha.... Ahhhhh, Patrick, the kind of carbuzz? Lmfao omg ur killing me!!!!!
Jordan SmithJan 16, 2013 Patrick as much of the king of Carbuzz that you are, toying with Matt like this could get you banned. And that would suck.
Jacob MurrayJan 16, 2013 I have a picture of an interior from an LFA I saw at a car show and this interior is almost identical. I looked back and forth a few times to make sure but yea it's straight out of an LFA. With that being said I can't wait to see how this thing runs!
Tyler TarboxJan 16, 2013 @Johnny. A lot of new Porsches have it too
Johnny MatiasJan 16, 2013 I didn't see too much of this type of center console (by my knowledge) aside from the last NSX before the Lamborghini Aventador. It's absolutely a new and futuristic looking interior. Maybe add some black on the headliner and seats but otherwise good
Matt PiccoloJan 16, 2013 @ Tyler, not really. And pat, simple, I'm not. Not too complicated bud
Patrick SchalkJan 16, 2013 Matt, how are you ever NOT ignorant?
Tyler TarboxJan 16, 2013 @Matt. You're very ignorant if you think this is is so much better than the Vette or Viper. If this had a Dodge, Ford, or Chevy badge on it you would say it was awful
Matt PiccoloJan 16, 2013 @ pat how am I being ignorant?
Patrick SchalkJan 16, 2013 I actually like this minus the red. I agree with everyone.
Alex SmithJan 16, 2013 Waaaaaay to much red. Red seats can only look good if the rest of the upholstery is black. It looks tacky as hell. The red material in the center of the seats looks cheap and awkward. Also the red on the steering wheel needs to go. Looks like a cover
Tim PreisingerJan 16, 2013 I think it's pretty nice. Way too much red though
Patrick SchalkJan 16, 2013 Yeah Matt I'm 6. What are you today? 84?
Your ignorance amuses me. Please carry on.
Dylan BruderJan 16, 2013 Agreed with jordan on the first part I don't know the lfa well enough for the last statement
Jordan SmithJan 16, 2013 Aye they all look good. The Corvette, the Viper, and the NSX. You can't say no to that.
I do however think this looks a bit too similar to the LFA's interior.
Dylan BruderJan 16, 2013 Not to attack Matt today but not seeming very special or unique after how much he built it up to be not bad though
Matt PiccoloJan 16, 2013 Wow pat, u may b the most clueless person on this app if u think that's what I meant. Like what r u, 6?
Garrett ChattertonJan 16, 2013 Bad Acura bad now go back to the blueprints and think about what you've done, if you put in a 6-speed manual transmission in the car all will be forgiven
Darryle MoodyJan 16, 2013 The red leather and alcantara is fantastic. They didn't go crazy with carbon fiber, and the restraint of its use is well done. Excellent job here.
John PattenJan 17, 2013 I love it, but it looks like a LFA. Not that it's a bad thing. :P
Julian YoJan 16, 2013 My opinion is that they just use a modern version of the first gen NSX interior and maybe is the LFA that copy them in the first place :P
Ian RagsdaleJan 16, 2013 It's funny that Porsche originally designed this up sloping console for the CGT to raise the position of the shifter similarly to a race car...... And now it's being done on cars with no console shifter..
Maaz KhanJan 16, 2013 Other than the overkill on the red, this looks pretty nice. I like how the pillars at the windows are small for better visibility. And the "oh crap" handle bar goes with the flow I the car look
JB KolodJan 16, 2013 Feels like a mix of Porsche and mp4-12c
Justin McLeodJan 16, 2013 Uhh LFA much, is it just me or does this resemble the LFA's interior quite a bit? Not saying that's a bad thing but the center console looks very similar.
Ron VinsonJan 16, 2013 Porsche center console design.
Geoff NovakJan 16, 2013 I love the flow from dash to passanger door handle
Ryan HavertyJan 17, 2013 Nice interior, the only similarity I see with this and the LFA is the center console sloping up and the race car steering wheel with the flat bottom. I think the color combo is what makes people think they are similar. Btw I think the LFA might have the best steering wheel period!
Ryan HeetderksJan 16, 2013 I think it matches the exterior design nicely!
William DownsJan 16, 2013 The shapes and lines of thendash scream honda, but the general shape and lay out of the dash and center counsel look alot like the lfa's interior... very nice interior
Darryle MoodyJan 16, 2013 The center console's width appears to be very good. Not to wide and not to narrow. Nice details with compartments.
Matt PiccoloJan 16, 2013 Looks better than the LFA IMO. And the LFA has a damn nice interipr
That's because the power numbers are gonna be lame.
It's lame that they are withholding power numbers
Its been a year? Wow...
I can't wait till 2015
