Description: It's a funny thing, really. The Fisker Karma is all about being an environmentally friendly luxury car and yet someone had the idea to stuff a Corvette ZR1 V8 under the hood. That someone just ha...Add Comments9
Ashton SummersJan 16, 2013 Good idea, a car that looks that good shouldn't be beaten by a Volkswagen.
Jonathan IppolitoJan 15, 2013 Great idea put a tried and true motor in a car that is an electrical nightmare . Sure hope they change all the wiring and electronic before selling a single one of these .
Thibault LeroyJan 15, 2013 @Dan hes just using the karmas body with changes to the rest of the car and he will be selling them under a different name
Dan BousquetJan 15, 2013 i dont understand. is this going to be a new fisker model or is this guy selling this under a different name and just using the karmas body with some changes???
Kyle RawnJan 15, 2013 Ah good for Fisker. They gave up when times were difficult and sold themselves out. Became the exact opposite thing. Who woulda thunk it? Oh well, hope these don't catch fire.
Chris HuffJan 15, 2013 Better than those stupid batteries
David MunasingheJan 17, 2013 Not to get political but Obama must be crying. Lol
Paul DickeyJan 15, 2013 I really prefer the old front
Alex BouckleyJan 15, 2013 I don't really like this design, but it's a small improvement
Jacob BurfordJan 15, 2013 Now this is what I want! Instead of wasting a beautiful design on green technology and all that other stuff that will just catch fire, it has a proper engine!
Jonathan IppolitoJan 15, 2013 The changes to the exterior are a huge improvement to an already great looking car .
Derrick McCarthyJan 15, 2013 It's got a corvette hood and headlights.
Paul Rodriguez JrJan 15, 2013 I love how this looks but I prefer the older front facia; this looks too much like the gumpert concept and doesn't seem to fit right.
Jackson MichaelJan 15, 2013 I would seriously take this over the C7. I love sports sedans and the Karma looks sexy as hell
Jake KnickmeyerJan 15, 2013 @ Kyle...monopoly? What about all the German sport sedans, and the Lexus IS-F? Unless you just mean the American side, then you're right. Hopefully the Chevy SS will give us another choice, even if its still GM.
Patrick SchalkJan 15, 2013 Holy crap I wanna see this thing do a burnout.
Kyle RawnJan 15, 2013 I mean Lutz had a genius idea. Because the CTSV had a monopoly, til now.
William DownsJan 15, 2013 I didnt like the original front, this ones alot better, when did they start again cause last i read they were slightly dead because they had no batteries and couldnt find a new suplier
Michael MitnikJan 15, 2013 If you look back at most of the comment on the Fisker karma, lots of people wish it has a regular gas engine because the car itself is well designed. Clearly there is a demand and people will pay for this car to drive something that looks different.
Michael MitnikJan 15, 2013 Fisker is still building and promoting their ev/hybrids but Lutz clearly saw a market in making a beautiful ev hybrid car into a powerful 4dr sedan. I think he made the look of the car a bit subdued but looks amazing. Wish I could buy one.
William DownsJan 15, 2013 Fisker isnt building anything at the moment, production is at a stand still, this one guy shoving a v8 in one, dosnt mean fisker had anything to do with the car
Kyle RawnJan 15, 2013 Our tax dollars went towards research and production of an electric vehicle. Where is that EV? Now Fisker is essentially a production facility for car bodies and one-offs like this.
Kyle RawnJan 15, 2013 Other companies to build off of. Happy now William?
Kyle RawnJan 15, 2013 Okay William since you had to call me out on it. Editing of original comment. "what did Fisker do with the $193 million dollars of government funding? They wasted it on a failed car, and instead of building an EV car, they're building bodies for
William DownsJan 15, 2013 This wasnt.built by fisker, if u actually took the time to read the article instead of jumping straight to comments u would know this
Kyle RawnJan 15, 2013 So what did Fisker do with the $193 million of government funding? Oh yeah that's right, they wasted it and just stuck in a Corvette engine.
Michael MitnikJan 15, 2013 Wow someone actually listened when we asked for a karma with a powerful engine. Love the hybrid minus its teething issues but it will be nice to see this thing tear up the streets. I feel this will be one of the best looking sport sedans out there
Description: There aren't many exact details available just yet, but we do know it has the ZR1's 638 horsepower LS9 V8 instead of a small four-pot and an electric motor. It'll also supposedly be off...Add Comments15
Jackson BondJan 16, 2013 They probably only offer the 4speed auto to deter people from buying it, this man clearly understands the need for manual transmissions
Tony MarroJan 15, 2013 Brilliant! "4-door corvette". Keep some electricity in there tho.
Lou GuerreroJan 15, 2013 I think Matt Farah said the Fisker would be awesome with an LS. If not him then someone else because I know someone voiced this thought on the interwebs. It's pretty amazing that its coming to fruition,
Jimmy CaseJan 15, 2013 @Zaire can't do much better than an ls series.
Zaire WilkinsJan 15, 2013 Really a corvette engine couldnt they do better? This will be like the 10th car with that engine underneath it
David ParentiJan 15, 2013 The commodore and the corvette have more in common than a fisker and a corvette. At least they both have GM parts. The only thing this thing and a corvette have in common is the motor.
Pablo HerasmeJan 15, 2013 I'm very interested in how this is going to work
A.J. BradyJan 15, 2013 Really? Only a 4 speed auto trans?? That's makes no sense. ZF makes a 6 speed that will handle that power level.
Chris GainesJan 15, 2013 haha, this guys awesome! "electrical stuff" for a v8 Ftw!
Stephen Tyler LearnJan 15, 2013 @nick the only thing the commodore and corvette share is the motor.
Description: Without the Karma's battery pack and electric motor, the car's weight is reduced by 1,322 lbs. Still in its prototype phase, it'll be built in Auburn Hills, Michigan and will hopefully ...Add Comments5
Austin J. BowerJan 24, 2013 Hopefully the price means there's a few more upgrades that haven't been released yet
James E CaldwellJan 16, 2013 Great idea. However the Karma price is around $95k, minus the extremely expensive electronics then ad affordable American muscle, how does the price jump to $180k?
Jonathan IppolitoJan 15, 2013 That weight loss should make a huge difference to the driving dynamics and performance of this car and the V8 is the perfect choice .
Chris GainesJan 15, 2013 hopefully the distribution is still good
Herbert BeltranJan 15, 2013 @Noah look at the small cluster of buttons. If you look closely youll see D, N, R there. Push the button and theres your gear
Noah GavurinJan 15, 2013 where on the center console? because all i see is window locks, hazards, and door lock
Good idea, a car that looks that good shouldn't be beaten by a Volkswagen.
How it ought to be.
Great idea put a tried and true motor in a car that is an electrical nightmare . Sure hope they change all the wiring and electronic before selling a single one of these .
@Dan hes just using the karmas body with changes to the rest of the car and he will be selling them under a different name
I love you, Maximum Bob.
i dont understand. is this going to be a new fisker model or is this guy selling this under a different name and just using the karmas body with some changes???
Fisker sucks
Ah good for Fisker. They gave up when times were difficult and sold themselves out. Became the exact opposite thing. Who woulda thunk it? Oh well, hope these don't catch fire.
Better than those stupid batteries
