Aston Martin Reveals Centenary Vanquish

As part of its 100th anniversary celebrations, Aston Martin will build the Centenary Edition Vanquish and other unique models.

As part of its 100th birthday celebration, Aston Martin has unveiled the first of its upcoming special edition models: the Centenary Edition Vanquish. This limited series lineup will also include unique versions of the V8 Vantage, DB9 and Rapide, all of which are decked out with unique styling traits to mark the occasion. Only 100 examples of each special edition model will be built and can be identified by their unique black leather interior with contrasting silver stitching previously only seen on the One-77 hypercar.

There are also solid sterling silver sill plaques individually numbered with the Aston Martin hallmark. The exterior paint is composed of a custom-made mixture that is applied to each body panel by hand using a special mini-jet gun. All told, this paint process takes more than 50 hours to complete instead of the standard 18. Each Centenary Edition model also comes with other special characteristics like two glass keys, bespoke black leather key pouches and even solid silver cufflinks and a Rollerball pen. Pricing wasn't announced, but Aston Martin dealerships are now taking orders and the cars are expected to sell out imminently.

Aston Martin also released this new video marking 100 years since being founded by Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin. It showcases some of the most iconic models in the company's long history as well as some of the people who helped make it the acclaimed marque that it is today.
