Description: It was back in 2009 when Cadillac unveiled the Converj Concept, a stylish two-door coupe based on the same architecture and plug-in hybrid technology as the Chevy Volt. Fast forward to this year'...Add Comments13
Ashton SummersJan 16, 2013 Have to admit, would rather see this on the streets of Beverly Hills than a Prius. Wouldn't look as sad next to a Rolls.
Alex SmithJan 16, 2013 Obama Administration: making cars suck since 2008
Aj WhiteJan 16, 2013 @Carlos
U have no style. Plain & simple.
Zachary MaurerJan 15, 2013 Ik D.C does something with taxes and exemptions when you own a hybrid, so everyone has one there, and plus it depends what type of person you are
Drew HumphreyJan 15, 2013 @Stephen I don't know what you mean.
Aaron CrispJan 15, 2013 54.5 MPG?! Geez. Need to just start importing small diesels from Europe.
Stephen CobbsJan 15, 2013 @Drew. The same reason why a big family would buy a SUV for 30k instead of a 2 door coupe for 30k.
Dylan BruderJan 15, 2013 @drew you get 7500 back in some states not too bad and those cars have completely different purposes plus since Obama has made the 54.5 cafe mpg in 2025 you gotta start bringing those numbers up big time this car will help boost that number nicely
Darryle MoodyJan 15, 2013 That is a fancy Volt. Not bad a looking ride.
Taylor LittleJan 15, 2013 And both those are less likely to catch fire haha.
Drew HumphreyJan 15, 2013 Why, in the interest of fuel economy, would you pay several thousand dollars more for a Cadillac-branded Chevrolet Volt? You could just get a nice Ford Fusion or Mercedes-Benz C-Class and probably never overtake the fuel savings after you purchase an expensive hybrid.
Parker LeachJan 15, 2013 Definitely the sexiest hybrid I've ever seen
Jacob GreenleafJan 15, 2013 Obviously everyone has their own opinions but I think everyone can agree that Cadillac is finally moving from hearses to gorgeous cars.
Carter SullivanJan 15, 2013 @David, I didn't agree with anything you said...until the last sentence
Jordan SmithJan 15, 2013 David prefers the Prius because of it's styling?!
Ryan SpencerJan 15, 2013 Exception: Fisker Karma. When it's not on fire.
Ryan SpencerJan 15, 2013 Finally! A hybrid that looks good! I thought this day would never come!
David LeeJan 15, 2013 @Ian the point of the car is efficiency. I would rather have the Prius because I prefer the styling. Although, I would prefer a B Class electric over the Prius. In the end though, I want an Audi RS7 Sportback.
Corey Alan KelleyJan 15, 2013 Seeing the comments about what happens to the batteries
I talked with a surveyor in the oilfield once and he was telling me what we'll see is battery acid getting into water supplies
Of course maybe he's biased being oilfield but it makes you wonder
Corey Alan KelleyJan 15, 2013 Now just cram a V10 somewhere between the front seat and the trunk
And then take my money
Aaron CrispJan 15, 2013 Put in a sporty 4 banger or V6 and it'll actually sell. Hybrids ugh.
Ian RagsdaleJan 15, 2013 Why would you want a Prius with it's puny 105 lb ft of torque, when you can have this with nearly 300?
I cannot even comprehend that sort of logic.
Jimmy CaseJan 15, 2013 @Jesse but you spent money on a Mitsubishi? Haha
David LeeJan 15, 2013 Give me all the negative feedback you want, but I'd rather have a Toyota Prius Plug In or a Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric
Jordan SmithJan 15, 2013 Which is why electric is not the future at the moment. Cleaner production and cleaner ways to recycle should be first. Then cleaner engines.
Maaz KhanJan 15, 2013 Then on top of that recycling plants pollute aswell
Stephen DJan 15, 2013 Never mind where the batteries go when they are old. The pollution from manufacturing them alone offsets eco benifit. Mining for the materials needed is a dirty process.
Jesse JalapenoJan 15, 2013 Except the cts-v, cause that's a nice car
Jesse JalapenoJan 15, 2013 I just don't get paying more for a rebadged chevy.
Sam ReinselJan 15, 2013 No, there are ways of recycling the materials.
Tino DomingueJan 15, 2013 So I just thought I put this out there... But what happens to the batteries in all these new hybrids/EV's when they're no longer any good... Will we find them where most batteries end up... In a landfill?
John SerelyJan 15, 2013 Looks great. I absolutely love Caddy's new design language
Joe TalericoJan 15, 2013 Beautiful car (and that's coming from someone who's never liked Caddys). I just don't think a higher end hybrid is going to sell in any significant numbers.
Carlton SalmonJan 15, 2013 Great looking car, hybrid or not.
Description: All told, this combo produces 207 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Cadillac claims the ELR can travel up to 35 miles on electric power alone. Charging the battery takes about 4.5 hours using a 240V...Add Comments6
Description: With its fastback design, signature egg crate grille and sharply angled headlights and taillamps, the ELR has an aggressive stance that's further augmented by LED-only exterior lighting (includin...Add Comments0
Matt PiccoloJan 15, 2013 Not feeling the back, rest of the car looks great though
John SerelyJan 15, 2013 I agree drew. Hopefully the ATS coupe or ATS-V will take care of that
Drew HumphreyJan 15, 2013 Looks good, but I wish this had a RWD/AWD turbocharged four-cylinder engine instead. Could be pretty quick.
Description: Additional features will include several advanced safety systems such as forward collision and lane departure warning, blind spot alert and full-speed range adaptive cruise control. There's even ...Add Comments7
Ken RussellJan 29, 2013 The cup holder won't effect the range of the vehicle. It's a Cadillac and they build luxury. Automatic things that are useful or not is part of the luxury motif.
Bill Estep JrJan 16, 2013 Pushing the cup holders is so hard :p
Johnny MatiasJan 15, 2013 So they make this amazing brand new super fuel efficient car and then make the horribly opposite statement of wasting power on some freaking cup holders!! God this company needs to look into what they're statement is with these cars.
Jonathan IppolitoJan 15, 2013 I'm now just waiting for the final official pricing to decide if I'm going to buy a new ELR . Great job goes to Cadillac for the ELR .
David LeeJan 15, 2013 @Jordan the cover on the cup holder electrically slides away.
Jordan SmithJan 15, 2013 Power assisted cup holder?
Mark Fei LingJan 16, 2013 @Miranda
I think that's how they attracting female buyers....
Johnny MatiasJan 15, 2013 I for some reason love brown on cars. Audi, BMW and Mercedes pull it off very well, and that tuned (forgot the company) brown Lamborghini Aventador was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I really do like the leather on those seats too.
Luis Daniel AngilelloJan 15, 2013 Black leather seats, and piano black accent would look better IMO
Jacob BurfordJan 15, 2013 Cadillac is putting out some nice interiors right now!
Drake NailonJan 15, 2013 Actually beige sucks except in the showroom. This color will mellow with time and get lighter in the wear areas, taking on a rich patina. Beige just gets dirty.
Have to admit, would rather see this on the streets of Beverly Hills than a Prius. Wouldn't look as sad next to a Rolls.
