America!!!! What the hell?!?!? 6.2 liters and we only manage 450 horsepower?? We've taken on the British, the Mexicans, a number of arabs and we've won every time (more or less) and this is what we've come to?? Come on people, we're better than this.
Elvis Ford Jan 17, 2013
This design is crap. Viper won the battle. Chevy fans have nothing now. So so sad
Richard Nichols Jan 16, 2013
I would have an Aston Martin over the vette, well I am British!
Tim Preisinger Jan 15, 2013
Richard, I fully understand the RWD car being at a disadvantage from a stop. But not from a roll. Sounded to me like you meant both. Maybe I misunderstood.
Colby Church Jan 15, 2013
I realize it's just a material item, but it had history and meaning. It's not just another car. I think that's what I'm trying to convey. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but for the money, this car is just awesome.
Colby Church Jan 15, 2013
Lol @ Jimmy Of course I do. And thanks Nick, you get it. Haha. People, I just like what the car stands for. Geez. It's a badass car that I really like. If you can't admire that, why are you even on this app? Because that means you're not a car guy.
Richard Nichols Jan 15, 2013
It's power down as it has 4wd.
Richard Nichols Jan 15, 2013
An if you read my second post I mentioned other factors. Gear selection, engine speed, torque and power all play a part when in motion. Having never been in both I would side with the more powerful car which happens to have a better chance of putting
Richard Nichols Jan 15, 2013
Because a 4wd car will get better traction from a standstill as it has twice as many wheels to put the power through.
Ryan Faber Jan 15, 2013
sorry i dont log the comment count..
Tim Preisinger Jan 15, 2013
It was a record around the 650 mark lol
Alex Canitano Jan 15, 2013
Lets get 1500 on the Enzo successor
Ryan Faber Jan 15, 2013
this has to be a record...
David Parenti Jan 15, 2013
800th comment!
Tim Preisinger Jan 15, 2013
Why do you find it hard to believe that a RWD car would keep up with an AWD? From a stop... Yes that's a little rough... But not from a roll.
Mike Carbaugh Jan 15, 2013
Corvette articles always get the most commented on
Jordan Smith Jan 15, 2013
Hell, let's break 1000.
Aaron Crisp Jan 15, 2013
Lets break 800!!!
Richard Nichols Jan 15, 2013
This new vette does look good though, any word if its coming over the pond our lovely little island?
Richard Nichols Jan 15, 2013
Once moving I agree with colby that torque helps, but so does weight, or lack of. I have a 21 year old VW Polo G40 it's only a 1.3 but because it is stupid light, 750kg and supercharged it keeps up with much bigger more powerful metal.
Richard Nichols Jan 15, 2013
I don't doubt the performance of the corvette but as a car fan with technical knowledge of how cars work and perform, I do find it hard to believe that a RWD vette will keep up with a AWD Lamborghini especially from a standing start.
Nick Schnee Jan 15, 2013
780 comments. Record.
David Parenti Jan 15, 2013
For real, Colby's thumbs must have carpal tunnel syndrome after today.
Tyler Tarbox Jan 14, 2013
Soooo many comments. Glad I wasnt a big part in any conversation on this article. Would have hated to keep checking back every five minutes lol
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
I called up to 650 by midnight... Someone else said 700. Pretty accurate guess.
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
Kyle has made my day
Lou Guerrero Jan 14, 2013
In the venerable words of Conan the barbarian, ENOUGH TALK! I need track reviews and raw data on the new chassis.
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
Yup this is definitely at the top
Alex Renaud Jan 14, 2013
Colby, did you hear the latest breaking news from Chevrolet? The Corvette will be discontinued after the 2017 model year.
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
Yeah, we reached 600+ on a GTR article about a half year ago or so. So I think this is a new record
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
Nice then we have a new winner xD
Dillon Dixon Jan 14, 2013
I want to say it was around the 610-620 area. I'm almost positive it's reached 600 before.
Jordan Smith Jan 14, 2013
I think it was a GTR article that got somewhere around 450? So we've probably already broken it unless there's another article.
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
@jordan what's the record?
Benjamin McCormick Jan 14, 2013
It's a fantastic looking beast. I never really wanted one that much until now.
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
Wooo corvette
Jordan Smith Jan 14, 2013
I love Carbuzz. Let's break the comment record! Without me having to club more baby seals would be nice.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
@Colby, you may need a therapist. Saying some of those things about an inanimate object can be, well, odd and compulsive. Maybe even unhealthy. But nice to know you stand by some ideals.
Paul Dickey Jan 14, 2013
Preach on Steven.
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
Annd 700 comments
David Justice Jan 14, 2013
Amen Stephen.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
@Colby when you ejaculate do you think of the Corvette? I do.
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
@zach I think we're setting a record lol
Noah Gavurin Jan 14, 2013
@stephen, pretty much sums it up
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
Seriously this is becoming a joke
Kyle Kloewer Jan 14, 2013
That's less than the zr1
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
680 and counting...
Stephen Healy Jan 14, 2013
I used to love Corvettes, especially driving around my best friends C6, but I can honestly say that Colby's over the top fanboy-ism has made me dislike the car, not have a greater appreciation for it. I literally signed into this app just to say that
Nick Sti Jan 14, 2013
Colby, you're a fanboy, we get it. ;D
Austin Lark Jan 14, 2013
Most guys choose hustler or playboy...... Colby chooses corvette magazines
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
I have an attachment to this car that cannot be explained. It defines who I am, and an insult towards it feels like an insult towards me. It has come a long way and deserves recognition. This car had been through a lot and has a very rich heritage.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
People have varied opinions and stereotypes about the car, and since this car is where my expertise resides, I like to inform people and bring them into the Corvette legacy. People that hate this car baffle me, and I defend it with ferocity.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
Really the concept that pushes me away from Euros besides the fact that I'm American and I stand besides my countries automobiles.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
@Wyatt that's because they are high revving engines unlike this motor. This alot more stable and puts alot higher torque numbers. It's different ideology. Euros tune low displacement engine making modifications tough with a high compression. It's
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
I'm not a bad guy, and some realize that, but there is not a legitimate reason why this car shouldn't be respected. It is such a great value for what it is, and I want to share it with others and let them see a different perspective on the Corvette.
Oscar Galvan Jan 14, 2013
Supercharges and turbos dude
Wyatt Gordon Jan 14, 2013
How do they manage to only get 450 from a 6.2? European 6.2's can get over 600. Hell, Koenigsegg is getting over a thousand HP from a 5.0. Even McLaren is getting nearly 600 from a 3.8!
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
trying to have an intense discussion on the aspects surrounding the opinions. I like to weigh in and defend in areas that others aren't as knowledgeable as I am. I like telling people things that spark curiosity and give them more open opinions.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Jackson I'm only rude if others are rude to me first. I am genuinely a nice person at heart. I hate arguing, but it's going to happen if people make idiotic comments. Period. I don't condemn others for having different opinions than I, but merely
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
No, he's name calling
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Jörgen You know absolutely nothing about how fast Corvettes really are. I know the guy, he runs the local Hooters. We talked, he was not toying with me. We raced like 5 times. A Gallardo is not that much faster than a C5. Maybe you should drive one.
Jörgen Nilsson Jan 14, 2013
Colby: as I've said before. The driver of the Superleggera was toying with you. Simple as that. You begin to look quite foolish in your fanboyism now.
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
No you don't! You've probably called more than 10 people idiots or retards on this story alone, and I'd honestly say you're the rudest person on this app.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
I like hearing what other people have to say as much as I like to voice my own opinion, I just don't respect people being rude when I am only using this website for it's sole intention. To discuss and have informative conversations about cars.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Haha, well thanks to those that actually understand my postings. I like a good discussion and I like to point out things that other people may be unaware of, I'm not trying to undermine anyone, just trying to be informative and have a nice discussion
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
@aaron also opt to get the pop up navigation not even for the navigation but it makes the whole interior. The pano sunroof is nice too but you have to really armor all the seal or it gets a little squeaky. I noticed mine the other day.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
@aaron go check out my Facebook I have a few pics.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
@aaron I absolutely love it. The steering and handling of it is tight it's very sporty. I spent extra and got the DI with 310 horsepower and that's my recommendation. I haven't found an interior anywhere I think is comparable. You won't regret it.
Felix Rhett Jan 14, 2013
@serge 6.2 liters and VVT will do the trick nicely.
Aaron Crisp Jan 14, 2013
@Jimmy How do you like your CTS? I've been interested in getting one.
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
You throw a tantrum every time someone disagrees with you and insult their intelligence. I'm tired of you treating everyone like crap and acting like you're the definitive source on everything car related.
Alex Smith Jan 14, 2013
Go Colby
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
Everyone meet Colby he will be your forum moderator today. He is out corvette genius here at Carbuzz and will be happy to answer your questions and address concerns. He specializes in c5 corvettes.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Jackson I don't know, why do you give a shit is the better question. Go ahead and throw a little temper tantrum, I'm a loud mouth when an choose to be and don't mind voicing my opinion to its full extent. So how about you get back to being a retard.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
I decided I'm trading in my CTS when we get one of these.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Austin Well you obviously cared enough to comment about it and waste your time. I'm not here to impress anyone, I'm just here to vouch for my favorite car's performance capabilities. It is a very underestimated car.
Serge Pankratov Jan 14, 2013
Better*
Serge Pankratov Jan 14, 2013
What really blows my mind is the naturally aspirated engine putting 450 hp AND 450 tq... Im only used to seein such balance between tq abd hp on super/turbo charged cars. Wow! Im not digging the from end on this though. Could be etter

Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
Why is Colby so damn annoying
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
Avery, I agree. That would be a cool option
Avery Williams Jan 14, 2013
I really much love how they brought back the stingray name for the Corvette. Just hope they add in a split rear window edition later on.
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
Oscar, is that your car in your profile pic?
Oscar Galvan Jan 14, 2013
'Merica!
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
As far as price goes coming from a Chevy dealer it will usually come out the first few months and sell WELL over sticker then level off and me somewhere within 5k of base prices now.
Austin Lark Jan 14, 2013
Colby no one cares about ur "race" or ur " driving skills" no on likes a bragging fanboy. I love corvettes too but good lord ur the most annoying fanboy out there. Give it a rest man. U sound like a broken record.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Rahul they both have a 0-60 withing a second of eachother so with a good driver a stock C5 corvette can deffinatly beat a gallardo
Rahul Thakur Jan 14, 2013
No way a regular corvette can beat a gallardo or even keep up with it. Anyways, beautiful car!
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
capable of. If I would have had a few bolt ons things may have turned out differently. And there's my latest rant, courtesy of Jörgen. Jörgen, you have no clue, I'll leave it at that.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
The faster we got, the faster he got, but he couldn't get a car length in front of me. I am also a very skilled driver and pushed my car for every ounce it had. Just shows you underestimate what a Corvette in the hands of a sufficient driver is
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
And just a few fun facts. The Gallardo Supperleggera I mentioned has 384 ft lbs of torque. My vette may have only had 350hp compared to his 500+ but I also had 375 ft lbs of torque stock. Which is very comparable to 384. Torque wins low speed races.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Jorgen Buddy, you think I care if you believe me or not? I'm not a liar when it comes to cars. Yes it was an orange first gen Gallardo superleggera that a local guy owns and cruises with on the weekends. We raced several times. It was very close.
Wissam Nasr Jan 14, 2013
Looks great !
Nick Schnee Jan 14, 2013
I remember how the ZR1 vs. 458 or something article made 614 comments...
Jörgen Nilsson Jan 14, 2013
I notice that Colby still believes hus 350 hp Vette was as fast a Gallardo (but this time he didn't mention it was a Superleggera. Noone believes you on that, Colby.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
But bang for buck? 60-65k maybe even 70k still a great car.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
Yeah it's gotta be close to the current prices. Yeah it's improved, yeah it's nice, looks exotic; but it still has to be affordable to the American people. Not everybody can afford a corvette now, so I doubt they will price this one out of the ballpark
Tyler Tarbox Jan 14, 2013
Interested to see prices for the base model. It will definitely be more than the current one at $55K. Somewhere between $60-$70K I'm guessing.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
Yeah Scott, 600hp is not base model range... That's Z06/ZR1 territory.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
My estimate (which will be very accurate but not spot on) is Z06 will have at least 550 horsepower, but more likely in the 580-600 range. The ZR1 will be over 700 horsepower, no doubt. Also look for a wider body on them, once again.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Maybe you should actually drive a manual car with 450hp. That is a lot of power. A stock 02 Z06 has 405, runs a 12.4 quarter mile stock and destroys pretty much anything. This is very adequate for a base model. But just wait for Z06 and ZR1.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Lol, seriously complaining about a light, luxurious, sexy car with 450hp? You consider that low? My base vette had 350 and was still crazy fast. I kept up with a Gallardo one night from 40-90 mph. 450 will definitely get the job done.
John Serely Jan 14, 2013
@scott the base chevy right now is this, but soon will be the zr1, which will have more than 640hp. Right now though, this is plenty for now. 450hp, 0-60 under 4 seconds and faster than a c6 ZO6? All for under 55k? Yup. That is plenty fine.
John Conley Jan 14, 2013
For everyone concerned about horsepower, just be patient. This is the entry level Vette and within a couple of years, the convertible, Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1 should all have arrived to fill out the roster. The current ZR1 is already 638 horsepower and was one of the quickest production cars on the planet, so stay tuned. I know I can't wait to hear the haters excuses then!!!!
Matt K Hawj Jan 14, 2013
Chevy had an orgy with the Viper, Ferrari, and GTR and gave birth to this.
Ryan Lopez Jan 14, 2013
So many commentd
Tyler Tarbox Jan 14, 2013
@Scott. Seriously? 450 horsepower is a ton of horsepower. This isnt even the Z06 or ZR1. For $60K this thing will take a steaming crap on most anything
Scott Puckett Jan 14, 2013
I hate the low HP is Chevys flagship. Forget the mpg. If you want good mpg but a volt. But when you buy a Vette you want high HP. I would like to see the upwards of 600hp not 450! But body really looks great
Tyler Tarbox Jan 14, 2013
More importantly, now that this is out hopefully I can find a good deal on a C6
Avery Lukan Jan 14, 2013
However, it's stupid to even compare the two. The Viper is always a mean, loves to eat you kind of car while the Corvette is more balanced and meant for everyone.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Research the painstaking detail that went into this car, it will blow your mind. There are many features on this car that are a first for production cars, especially an affordable sports car. This car sets the benchmark that much higher.
Jesse Jalapeno Jan 14, 2013
I'm thinking at least 600.
Avery Lukan Jan 14, 2013
Still not nearly as nice looking outside or inside as the Viper. Chevy must think so too because the headlights really look awfully similar...
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Quite possibly Paul. :) People need to stop saying that Corvette copied [insert car name here]. It was a completely original design by Chevrolet that expands on the tradition of Corvette styling and also introduces new innovative elements.
Paul Dickey Jan 14, 2013
David Colby alone will have that many.
Dylan Gomes Jan 14, 2013
this may take some getting use to for me but i dont mind
Emil Klossie Kleijsen Jan 14, 2013
Finally Corvette fanboys rejoice, let's just hope that just like This car changed to the better, so will the fanboys
John Serely Jan 14, 2013
I'm gonna agree with jordan. 650-700
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
The viper unveil made it to 434. Lets see if this can beat it. (Witch I bet it will just because it will be more controversial)
Jordan Jackson Jan 14, 2013
I'll say 650-700 comments by midnight
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
Lets take bets on how many comments this article gets by midnight tonight, I'm going to say 600-650
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
U know the concept rendering for this car was out long before we every got any images of the new viper, so u can stop with that one... plus look back at the last 2 gens of the viper then look at the vette from that year, they have always had similar exteriors
Oren Blumenstein Jan 14, 2013
looks way too much like the new viper. why doesn't chevy come up with an original design
Andrew Potter Jan 14, 2013
Nothing original here but marketing overdrive on an old concept.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
To see this car in much more detail and different colors, and also to see the car's features which CarBuzz didn't include, go to corvettestingray2014.com.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Nice to have you all here. :) Haha. Until I see ignorant comments, I will peacefully keep to myself. But I have to defend my car. This truly is an awesome Corvette.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
I must say... This could quite possibly be the highest commented article in Carbuzz history. It's 7:00 a.m on the east coast and it already has 120+ comments.
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
Wat I thought they weren't going with the stingray stuff
Kwasi Prempeh Jan 14, 2013
Welcome to the Colby show!
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
20 more hp nice.
Steven Luginsland Jan 14, 2013

Inb4 Colby rants for 1000 paragraphs.
Ton T. Panachart Jan 14, 2013
Nice Car!!!
Brennan Taylor Jan 27, 2013
It's pretty cheap and looks like a camaro from the back. Good job!!!
Potaraw Ko Jan 17, 2013
It look really hot!!!
Ben August Jan 16, 2013
I love this car. To be honest, the photos here on car buzz are some of the worst. Do yourself a favor, and visit Chevys actual website. Some amazing photos there!!! And, they look amazing in grey.
Matt Paunicka Jan 15, 2013
Best looking corvette in a long long time.
Ryan Todd Jan 15, 2013
I'm not a chevy guy but wow.. this is just awesome. Good work
Robert Young Jan 15, 2013
Shit where's mine in black??
Jordan Nishida Jan 15, 2013
Love it. Great styling
Gurjit Singh Jan 15, 2013
VV no you wouldnt
Tyler Chmieleski Jan 15, 2013
I would trade a kidney for this car
Ian McNeal Jan 15, 2013
Chevy nailed the new Corvette, glad they got rid of the glass hatch to make the Vette more rigid. Yes, the back-end is different, but it looks much more modern, the back is growing on me the more I see it. Lighter frame, lower center of gravity, longer wheelbase, more HP, much better interior, stiffer chassis...I think Chevy has a winner here.
Bala Uncc Jan 15, 2013
It's confusing now , which one looks better, corvette or 911...
Graham Young Jan 15, 2013
Pretty much the best Looking Corvette ever made In my opinion
Robert Bobo Ostojić Jan 15, 2013
I am about 40 years "in love"with cars and well informed about pretty everything on the scene, and from time to time, very rare, pops up something special-this car is one of this. Excellent job GM,you may be proud about new Corvett-she is beautiful!
Aj White Jan 14, 2013
@Darren This is the car.
Steven Luginsland Jan 14, 2013
This car is beautiful...now, how to afford one...
Scott Westphall Jan 14, 2013
Excellent design! Nice job GM
Darren Nardo Jan 14, 2013
This looks awesome !!! Do hope this is very close to production form. Great job Chevy!
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
The chrome strip is actually included on the orthodontical braces package.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
Yes strip optional.
Daniel Kenneth Babler Jan 14, 2013
Anybody know if the chrome strip on the front is an option? Cause it doesn't look good IMO
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
@erich haha you've missed most of the fun
Ben Hislop Jan 14, 2013
That should be in an art museum
Michael J Solimene Jan 14, 2013
Beaut
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
Haha, all of these people really came out of the woodwork.
Jacob Burford Jan 14, 2013
I was hopping for a bit more stingray concept influence, but still nice looking! I'm not sure about the back, but overall impressed!
Jonathan Ippolito Jan 14, 2013
I love the car from this angle . This view shows a modern Corvette that is everything a modern sports car from Chevy should be . World class style . Great job Chevy !
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
People that have ignorant comments regarding this car infuriate me with their biased, mindless, inaccurate comments. I will not stand for ignorance. It's a pet peeve of mine. I try to like everyone, but it just doesn't happen that way unfortunately.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
People, say what you will about me, but I like everything this car embodies. It has an attachment to my past and represents a lot to me. I hate being mean, but this car deserves recognition and respect for its many accomplishments over the years.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Jimmy I see what you're saying but I simply cannot help myself. I love this car so much. Lol. It's evident. But there's no way you're as obsessed as I. I'm not a mean person, but this is my car, and I will stand by it.
Miranda Nearlydriftingondreams Pavelle Jan 14, 2013
I wish the comments were about the car and not some Mr. Testosterones trying to have an 'I'm better than you' contest. I can't say I like this version of the Corvette, it's too... Sharp. It lacks 'Corvette'.
Wyatt Gordon Jan 14, 2013
The back reminds me of a GTR. Not good.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
I'm not sure what a camEro is? Hmmm
Maaz Khan Jan 14, 2013
Also a cheap camero at the back!
Marco Saldana Jan 14, 2013
I see a bit of Ferrari, viper, gt-r
Cody Gillard Jan 14, 2013
Not impressed it looks almost exactly like the viper in my opinion
Parker Leach Jan 14, 2013
Impressed with the GM design team. It's truly difficult to make a new refreshing design but still have hints of the past ones.
Martin Rosenberg Jan 14, 2013
Best looking car i have ever seen, no joke
Tara Landry Boudreaux Jan 14, 2013
I bet the following year model will have a lot of changes and a little more refinement
No Pistons Jan 14, 2013
Colby they have only done laguna. ACR still holds nurb by a few seconds over zr1.
Felix Rhett Jan 14, 2013
@jimmy how could you be a bigger vette fanatic than Colby. Apparently, he owns GM now.
Pagani Gtr Jan 14, 2013
So sexy
Ed Ashby Jan 14, 2013
C6 I meant
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
Trade my car in in the fall and I just can't do it with all of the replys to everyone who comments. Keep on vetting man but no need to respond to every single comment.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
Colby I'm probably a bigger vette fanatic and enthusiast than you and I understand your argument points and totally agree but your making this a very unenjoyable experience for all of us. I'm trying to think of what options I want on mine when I
Ed Ashby Jan 14, 2013
Looks quite Japanese to me. Prefer the z06
Lou Guerrero Jan 14, 2013
Hang on, Colby. All you're saying that the pinnacle of "your" 13 yo platform is faster than standard Viper.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Ahmed Are you serious? Our base is as fat as our C6 Z06. Our ZR1 (13 year old platform) beat the new SRT Viper on the track and drag strip. Our C7 Z06 will wipe the floor with that snake. Shark>Snake. :)
Zaire Wilkins Jan 14, 2013
@jimmy and zezus zuzi zimmy..hows that trolling now you have to explain yourself.
Ahmed Bin Saeed Jan 14, 2013
I love corvette but I think that The viper always on the top I think after the new viper gts the corvette will never beat it.
Mike Carbaugh Jan 14, 2013
I would get this over the viper, this is more sharp and aggressive, were the viper is more curvier but still pretty aggressive. Both are great looking cars
Sivert Grande Jan 14, 2013
Looks like they've just taken the headlights of the Viper and put them right onto the Vette. SRT is not going to be happy about this...
Danny Scott Jan 14, 2013
Cool car, but I'd never own a government motors product.
Ross Walker Jan 14, 2013
That's a sweet car! But I do see a lot of the viper
Scott Walker Jan 14, 2013
Every time I see this car I love it even more :)
Tanton Stoneman Jan 14, 2013
Could they have waited any longer to release this?
Sebastian Soroka Jan 14, 2013
I like it.
Simeon Prasad Jan 14, 2013
I see a lot of viper and gtr cues
Ryan Riley Jan 14, 2013
Beautiful
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
Not more than this... You get the point hahaha
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
me like the viper and GTR more.
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
And down to it it may look like other cars but the vette has been running a long time. Other cars look like it. And it kinda does look like a GTR but it's only because of the glass between the B and C pillar. This thing is devilish either way. Makes
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
Really R36. Bringing that up is just trolling. Nobody is thinking about an R36 which probably won't even be unveiled for another 4 years.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
@Zaire get the crap out of here no one is anticipating any R36 were busy checking out a real drivers car.
Zaire Wilkins Jan 14, 2013
This car did use cues from the GTR. But the R36 is most anticipated
Zaire Wilkins Jan 14, 2013
Chevy finally makes an attractive car. im only a fan for this corvette
Ben August Jan 14, 2013
Looks good. Can't wait to see the HO version.
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
Riley that doesn't make sense.
Victor Pitts Jan 14, 2013
I am a fan.
Riley Di Pol Jan 14, 2013
Looks pretty much the same minus a face lift. Not impressed
Logan Bartnick Jan 14, 2013
This is the best looking car since the Ford GT
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
Love it first thing I watched after work yesterday the unveiling
Jonathan David Sill Jan 14, 2013
This looks absolutely fantastic! Finally an American sports car I love since the GT.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Woukd look straight retarded if the grill was any bigger, that grill size gives it that mean ass corvette grin,
Nick Schnee Jan 14, 2013
Also I wasn't really talking about the chrome stripe, it's the way the intake is not as wide as the bumper that irritates me.
Oscar Galvan Jan 14, 2013
This thing is nice!
Ray Moreno Jan 14, 2013
...maybe drive one...yes this last part was essential lol.
Ray Moreno Jan 14, 2013
...themselves are going for the same idea and embodiment of speed. Be it the sharps lines , certain aerodynamic ducts or the application of LEDS etc. This IS a CHEVROLET STINGRAY and NOTHING ELSE. I can't wait to see these things on the road and...
Ray Moreno Jan 14, 2013
I'm too lazy to scroll through the comments and fodder which is most likely pointless observations. Chevy wanted to bring something for the future of sports. Yes aspects and curtains lines may remind you of other infamous cars, but those cars...
Rahul Thakur Jan 14, 2013
Very nice. Just sucks that so many old people drive this. This is for young to mid adults!
Adam Thomson Jan 14, 2013
Nice looking..
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
That's optional, you don't have to get the chrome strip, the one that debuted didn't have one. I liked it better that way.
Lou Guerrero Jan 14, 2013
Elias, I'm sure the grill is a nod to the C1 yet I'm not convinced it's appropriate for this car.
Nick Schnee Jan 14, 2013
I like everything except that front bumper... The vent looks like it had braces or something. Just, no.
Greg Kenerly Jan 14, 2013
Greatest Corvette of all time. I see GTR styling in the different color A Pillar. But that's about all. I can't wait to see these on the road. I think car and driver said the Stingray is the base model. The ZR1 will be the Lambo killer.
Justin Routh Jan 14, 2013
I love everything about it. And this is already gonna be quicker than a 7:24.... The GTR is 7:18 lap time. Vette is $55k better step up your game nissan 😏
Elias Harb Jan 14, 2013
Ferrari-like headlights and grille...
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Other than the LSD, the Corvette just uses your general driver aids, but you can always reach over and turn traction off and have a lot of fun. There are also customizable exhaust notes for this car and 6 different drive settings I believe.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@David Well it's a given that certain electronics must be adapted to production cars over time, but the Corvette doesn't use an "cheat" electronics besides the limited slip differential, which many inadequate drivers will find helpful with launching.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Cause the vette is now perfect and it angers people that they got nothing to bitch about the vette for, world class performance-√, stunning looks-√, amazing interior-√, lets not forget the price and the fact that the base model corvette will be a problem for most of todays supercars
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
Wow.. I honestly did not expect to like the new Vette, but I was wrong. I think this is very nice
Oscar Galvan Jan 14, 2013
Why does everyone always have to find some "faults" instead of looking at the potential and what it is
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
David these just have traction managment system, no where near the gtr in computers, and driver modes have been in cars for ages
David Justice Jan 14, 2013
This is awesome. I love how everything is functional; from the hood to the tail vents. Only downside I see for you Vette fanboys (which im not)is the argument that the GTR has a lot of electronic aids. I'm reading this has a lot too.Good work Chevy!
Martin Groves Jan 14, 2013
From the side this looks like a slightly squashed GTR
Rommel Powell Jan 14, 2013
You cant possibly compare this to the Viper. This cars blood runs deep. And this is a sexxy machine.
Derrick McCarthy Jan 14, 2013
To anyone saying this looks like anything other than a Vette is drunk. They have been making and updating the for the last 50+ years... Other cars look like this.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Then u obviously disnt see them all.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
And William, I don't know what in the world you have been watching, because I've seen literally every interview and glimpse of this car, and no inspiration was taken from the GTR or any other car for that matter. This is all Corvette.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Everyone knew I would leave a thousand comments, so don't be surprised to see my name pop up a few more times. ;)
Marcus Yoong Jan 14, 2013
One with matte black finish will be nice
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Zeus is right, the real deal is 10 times better. It looks very exotic. Watch the unveiling video on YouTube. It's really neat. Also, the rear looks wayy meaner than the Camaro, downright evil in fact. It looks like the Camaro's big bro, which it is.
Matt Martir Jan 14, 2013
The roofline/windows/rear quarter tooks very gtr-ish
Jesse Jalapeno Jan 14, 2013
Never been a fan ok'd chevy but, this looks pretty sexy
Jesse Jalapeno Jan 14, 2013
The backend looks like the camaro.
Brandon Chamberlain Jan 14, 2013
Rear quarter panel speaks camaro
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
This looks nothing like it does up front. These pictures are crap. The real this is really hot.
Colt Eklund Jan 14, 2013
I feel like this is what the C6 SHOULD of been, and that the C7 should of been a farther leap foreword, at least from a design standpoint. Does anyone else wish the front end varied more from the C6?
Paul Dickey Jan 14, 2013
It has braces
Bader Al Ajeel Jan 14, 2013
20% cooler
Emil Klossie Kleijsen Jan 14, 2013
Love it, and that's coming from someone who used to, let's just say, strongly dislike the corvette
Alex Bouckley Jan 14, 2013
When I saw the front fascia, I immediately thought Viper
Matthew Mckernan Jan 14, 2013
Oh joy! Something new for the corvette fanboys to feed off of!
Shane Carroll Jan 14, 2013
All I got to say is wow. I can definitely see some similarities with the Viper, not that that's a bad thing.
John Serely Jan 14, 2013
That looks great! I've never been a huge GM fan, but they have done a stellar job with the caddy and this c7. Well done. And to everyone who says it looks like the viper, well of course it does. It is a front-engine coupe, so it has to look similar
Sam Macon Jan 14, 2013
Doesn't look as bad as I thought it would
Ben Knorr Jan 14, 2013
Love it!! unmistakably corvette, yet a complete evolution. I think they nailed it. Looks like they've addressed all their previous weak points, can't wait to see a road test and also the Z06 and ZR1 models are gonna be epic!!
Mike Carbaugh Jan 14, 2013
That looks amazing...
Harrison Armstrong Jan 14, 2013
I can't wait to see a black version.
Zaire Wilkins Jan 14, 2013
I glimpse a viper
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
Can we get a picture that isn't computer generated?
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
I have never been a vette fan (ask people who have been on this forum a while) but this thing is insane, way to go Chevrolet! Can't wait to see this thing Sunday in person.
Sam Biggin Jan 14, 2013
That looks awesome much improved
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013

Matt Piccolo Jan 14, 2013
I like the front, but from the doors back, wtf happened?
Austin Lark Jan 14, 2013
Over 100 comments and it's only 7 am. This will be interesting. On another note I love this! At first I was really disappointed to see the tail lights change but the rear does look pretty damn good. Can't wait to see what numbers this thing puts up.
Michael Moschonikolakis Jan 14, 2013
The side profile looks similar to a Ferrari 599 I can even see a little F12, definitely not bad thing it looks great!
John Patten Jan 14, 2013
@jordan I laughed so hard xD
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
The video is on youtube, i foefot who did it, they wanted to make the car sleeker while increasing interior space
Drew Humphrey Jan 14, 2013
@Jordan generally you club things with a club but if you want to use a wrench that's okay. Just saying
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
Y u no suck
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Actually the people who built this car did an interview and they did take cues from the current gtr for the a pillar and roof line, and fornthe guy that asked this is the base model c7... its fucking gorgeous
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Seeing it unveiled last night and watching it roll out from under the covers was awesome. It looks so much better than just pictures. It is a real head turner, they did a great job.
Josh Negron Jan 14, 2013
I think I want to see it in person...
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
Benjamin chill your nuts its just an observation
Jason Smith Jan 14, 2013
I'm not orally a fan of 'Vettes but this looks pretty decent...
Tom Wilson Jan 14, 2013
Nice and ugly at the same time
Benjamin Hardaway Jan 14, 2013
The sides are an improvement of the c6 that came out years before the gtr The side takes nothing from the gtr shut up with that.
Chris Benson Jan 14, 2013
Looks to busy. Just my opinion.
Austin Sullivan Jan 14, 2013
Looks nothing like the F12 thank god. Looks like a C7 Vette to me...
Carlton Salmon Jan 14, 2013
I like the way that the front grille is a nod to the design of the C1 - neat touch.
Trey Villarreal Jan 14, 2013
Front looks viper-y
No Pistons Jan 14, 2013
Hahahahaha VVV
Jordan Smith Jan 14, 2013
For every bad comment on this I will club a baby seal with a wrench.
Benjamin Hardaway Jan 14, 2013
It looks nothing like the ugly gtr. This looks amazing.
Author Norman R. Colson Jan 14, 2013

Ben Knorr Jan 15, 2013
actually the race corvettes don't use a manual transmission, they use a sequential gearbox. Faster shifts and more durable.
David Parenti Jan 15, 2013
The corvette is a sports car and will most likely always have a manual option even if an auto is standard. The corvette is used for racing, race teams are not going to want to install a manual conversion just to make it race ready.
Ben Knorr Jan 14, 2013
Besides, it seems whenever a manufacturer offers a dct, the manual becomes extinct soon after and I'd really hate to see that happen to the vette.
Ben Knorr Jan 14, 2013
I think a dct and turbos would be thinking outside the box for a corvette :0) They considered a dct for the C7 but couldn't find one strong enough that fit in the required space so I don't think we can expect that on the more powerful versions.
Cory Poteet Jan 14, 2013
After reading they tossed in an E- diff and dry sump on the Z51 package... I really wanna know what they got in line for the hot ones....I'm guessing a DCT and turbos, but I hope they think outside the box
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
Okay maybe more like 5 since there is a GTR and Viper around. The vert will be out quickly. I doubt they will call it a ZR1 though.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
If its not hardtop I will be pissed. Companies need to get away from soft top. I can't sell any of my convertibles.
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
@ben 3-5 is probably more realistic the convertible is next followed by the z06 then zr1 if it's made (which I really expect to happen)
Ben Knorr Jan 14, 2013
@Jonathan - They are saying 30mpg hwy thanks to their new cylinder deactivation among many many other improvements in the car. The 6-speed auto will likely be slightly slower than the manual in terms of performance tho.
Ben Knorr Jan 14, 2013
@ Zeus - I hope they don't make us wait that long for the ZR1 replacement, I was thinking 2 yrs tops. They need something to compete with the Viper ASAP.
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
With VVT, high gearing, and direct injection, there's no way it shouldn't get that.
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
They're est at least an EPA estimated 26 there's videos of people getting 30 in their c6 so we shall see
Jonathan Ippolito Jan 14, 2013
I wonder what improvement to the performance and gas milage the 7 speed auto will bring ?
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
Ethan ZR1 or equivalent about 5 years I'm going to give it. Z06 or equivalent probably allot sooner.
Ethan Amo Jan 14, 2013
What happened to the ZR1?
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
Hood whoops
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
The reason why the vent on the good is different is the setup it's racecar inspired the radiator faces down and has the air blow directly to the vent taking the hot air over the car instead of under
David Gray Jan 14, 2013
@Patrick n Lou, cheers for putting me straight lads :-)
Kevin Pawlik Jan 14, 2013
Vette looks great
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
Lou is right David. The system essentially has two pumps to make sure that oil is always circulating.
Lou Guerrero Jan 14, 2013
David, dry sump is to ensure lubrication in high G corners and actually have more capacity for oil.
Danny Rodriiguez Jan 14, 2013
Kindly, let the REAL drivers but the Corvette,
Danny Rodriiguez Jan 14, 2013
Im just starting to learn about cars and similar themes, so if im incorrect, correct me kindl
Danny Rodriiguez Jan 14, 2013
@Colby Yeah I know, is relaxing reading that, the Corvette is born to be abused in the track and take a retiring trip to elsewhere, and
David Gray Jan 14, 2013
Rest of the car seems mint though....
David Gray Jan 14, 2013
Isn't the point of a dry sump system so the engine can have a smaller pan to allow it to be mounted lower? So unless the engine is actually moved lower when fitting the system, it's basically a gimmick
Lou Guerrero Jan 14, 2013
A 7 speed? I thought they had that crazy overdrive 6th gear for fuel economy already.
Tara Fitria Jan 14, 2013
Yeah I should have kept reading.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
@tara, GM shed 99 lbs of of this corvette from the previous model. Does that help you?
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
But don't fear that happening, at least not in our lifetimes. The Corvette is a car that wants to be driven hard and likes the abuse. They require a blend of great driving and big balls in order to use them to their full potential.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
This isn't a Lamborghini or Ferrari. Most Corvette guys are real drivers, hence why HALF of the Corvettes sold are manual transmission. The Corvette would never abandon manual transmission. If you knew a lot about the brand, that would be obvious.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Like i said chevy will never remove the manual transmission from the vette cause there are to many vette ourist that woumd buy the manual, only a wuss, handicapped person or an old timer would choose an auto for there vette...and chevy already said the zr1 @nd z06 are gonna be c7 models
Tara Fitria Jan 14, 2013
Faster than the outgoing zo6 with 50 less hp, there must be some creative engineering going on, that's quite impressive.
Danny Rodriiguez Jan 14, 2013
If stays or not. Is just my point of veiw.
Danny Rodriiguez Jan 14, 2013
@William Yeah, I now that manual will remain, but my fear is that the manual one will have poor sales and Chevy will kill of the option and save money. I will be satisfied if the manual remains although the poor sales. But time will determine if
Derrick McCarthy Jan 14, 2013
I didnt think they are keeping the zr1 after this current c6 model is done? If so then ya they are running out of performance numbers!!
Tyler Tarbox Jan 14, 2013
Dang the base model under 4 seconds?! Can't wait for Z06 and ZR1 models
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Okay Tifa, don't be such a troll. This is so much nicer than a GTR's side profile. That's Corvette blasphemy. And Z06 - 550-600hp / ZR1- 700+hp. Mark my words.
Emil Klossie Kleijsen Jan 14, 2013
Though I used to dislike the Vette a lot, this gen has made me do a Complete 180 and forced me to Drop all my earlier opinions about it, if the F12 is a supercar, then so is this
John Serely Jan 14, 2013
Can wait to see the new zo6, it has to be a beast!
Tifa Morsi Jan 14, 2013
This is a side view of the GTR
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
I wouldn't have said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like it.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
Chevrolet said there was nothing like the hood vent on any production car ever. The last gen GT-500 had a "heat extractor hood" that let hot air out and cold air in Through the front. Granted this ones quite a little different.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
Too bad they didn't unveil three models... How much hype will the next Unveils bring.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Manual transmission will never leave the corvette, and there is no way they will drop the z06... that just means the Z06 is gonna be a whole nother level of bonkers and who knows what there gonna do to the zr1, The stingray is gonna put a sour taste in akot of peoples mouths in the coming years
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
Who knows, the car is basically already what a Z06 use to be but better. Maybe they will drop the Z06 and the ZR1 will just be an all out racing machine. Like I said, kind of hard to improve on this. I'm interested to see what the other models will b
Danny Rodriiguez Jan 14, 2013
And here goes the manual losing his place.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
Or what if they decide to drop the Z06 because this is already a high benchmark. It's got 450hp n/a, kind of hard to make a noticeable improvement on that without a serious power adder.
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
Man I'm just scared that in 2 years all the spoiled boys on the block will have one.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Basically all the tech from the z06 has been improved and is now used on the base model corvette, gm is apparently done playing games with the competition and decided to go for the knock out... imagine how rediculious the z06 and zr1 are gonna be when the base model is so crazy already
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
We'll have to see ourselves
Chris Huff Jan 14, 2013
They said yesterday the base was a better track car than the current gran sport. So maybe
Austin Sullivan Jan 14, 2013
Hell yeah, can't argue that it's not anymore
Jordan Smith Jan 14, 2013
If the base is faster than the current Z06, does that now make the base car a super car?

Jimmy Case Jan 15, 2013
The z06 and zr1 had aluminum. Base did not.
Ben Knorr Jan 15, 2013
Dylan's right, switching from steel to aluminum saved 99lbs for just the frame
David Parenti Jan 15, 2013
The entire car is a total of 99 lbs lighter. Some of the weight loss was achieved from the use of carbon fiber and aluminum. Not all the weight loss came from the frame.
Dylan Bruder Jan 15, 2013
That 99lbs is just from the frame
David Parenti Jan 15, 2013
Gave it a carbon fiber roof*
David Parenti Jan 15, 2013
They have it a car of fiber roof and hood, I'm guessing that's where most of the weight came from.
A.J. Brady Jan 15, 2013
99 lbs. of the frame of the whole thing? If its 99 lbs off the frame and 57% more, that's a huge improvement for the frame.
Ryan Lopez Jan 14, 2013
So many comments 750
James Myron Darnell Crabbe Jan 14, 2013
YEAH!!! EFF FERRARI!!! Joking! But YEAH!
Ben Knorr Jan 14, 2013
Ian - I agree! was really excited to hear about their chassis improvements as it was greatly needed.
Jonathan Ippolito Jan 14, 2013
These specs are world class butt kicking pure Chevy Corvette racing specs made possible by racing, great engineering, and caring about the car you build .
Ryan Lopez Jan 14, 2013
So many commenta
Ian Ragsdale Jan 14, 2013
I love the driving characteristics of the corvette, but my number one complaint in the past has been chassis stiffness. It's good to see Chevy taking steps to address this. This is going to be a great driver's car.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
It is, it has a functional hood vent that flows cold air into the front bumper and hot air out if the hood while creating some downforce and cooling the slanted radiator.
Danny Rodriiguez Jan 14, 2013
Looks a bit more aerodynamic too.
Jake Judges Jan 14, 2013
It looks like it wants to kill me
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
I don't. It had to evolve, and this evolution is a big move forward in terms of engineering and styling. Once people see these in the road, they are going to stare at it, there is nothing bad looking about it in person.
Brennan Taylor Jan 27, 2013
Looks like a camaro and a 2013 viper put together... Good job
Sam Reinsel Jan 16, 2013
Mmmm they're too different for me to compare, personally. What I meant was that 60 grand is a lot of money, no matter how you look at it. I'd say they're by far worth it, but that doesn't make them "budget" cars like Colby said...
Jordan Smith Jan 16, 2013
The base Corvette, around $60,000, which is around same price as the M3? Compare the performance of both and tell me it still isn't a bargain.
Sam Reinsel Jan 16, 2013
A"budget car that competes" to me is more like a CW GTi, or a similar hot hatch. The base 'Vette it at around 60k, which is M3 money, and that really isn't 'budget'. You could easily tune a Japanese car to be fast around a track for far less too...
Colby Church Jan 15, 2013
Guys, what can I say, I'm a Vette freak. Lol. No need to give me down the road. I just relate to the car, it means more to me than it does to most. I like pointing out all of the car's strengths. We're talking about a budget car that competes
Andy Grudza Jan 15, 2013
This in no way looks anything like the gtr
Javier Alonso Rivas Jan 15, 2013
bullet
Jordan Smith Jan 14, 2013
That'll be saved for the higher up models, Noah.
Noah Gavurin Jan 14, 2013
it should have carbon ceramic discs
Wyatt Gordon Jan 14, 2013
I like the angle of the side vents (the ones behind the front wheels) but thats about it.
Alex Smith Jan 14, 2013
I think it looks about the same as it always has
Ty Schuring Jan 14, 2013
Back looks like a Camaro from the side
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
The claim was 60% stiffer than the z06
Lou Guerrero Jan 14, 2013
Shaniqua, I feel the same way. Same with the C6 for me. Just need some time to get used to it.
Jörgen Nilsson Jan 14, 2013
Every car maker "steals" smaller or bigger portions of their designs from other cars.
Jack Howard Jan 14, 2013
The only GTR I see in this is the rear window
John Serely Jan 14, 2013
Looks great, can't wait to see some REAL pictures. Enough of these computer generated images
Alex Smith Jan 14, 2013
It's sad to see the wrap-around rear window go, but I'm still super stoked for this car
Jesse Jalapeno Jan 14, 2013
Very true, I'm sure it looks very different in person though.
Brandon Chamberlain Jan 14, 2013
Rear of a camaro, front like a Ferrari at this angle, not a fan. Doesn't speak corvette
Paul Dickey Jan 14, 2013
Emil he'll never stop.
Jesse Jalapeno Jan 14, 2013
The front reminds me of A Ferrari. Not a bad looking car though.
Emil Klossie Kleijsen Jan 14, 2013
Exaggerate..
Emil Klossie Kleijsen Jan 14, 2013
Colby, they said themselves that they took cues from the GT-R, I thought that when the corvette actually became good, you would stop treating it like the god of all cars and stop defending it like it was, man, it's a fantastic car now, but no need to
Lead Peddalin Jan 14, 2013
Meh... Whatever.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
I love the new roof line.
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013

Shaniqua Latisha Jan 14, 2013
It is a great design but i need to get used to it
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
I like how there's actually a C-pillar and not just glass. GM said they improved on rigidity and strength, this really demonstrates that.
Drew Humphrey Jan 14, 2013
@Tom lol I agree
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
@Pablo.. the body was european influenced with corvette looks, thebside vwnt have been on corvettes before, onkyncuesgm took from the gtr is the a pillar and roof line, and they admitted that
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
The Corvette steals nothing from any other car. If it is any resemblance, it is pure coincidence. They design everything according to Corvette styling cues from the past, they take them and evolve them. This looks like a Corvette.
Thomas Messina Jan 14, 2013
Front looks like a sleeker sls amg
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
To me this is what a European vette could look like.
Tom Wilson Jan 14, 2013
How about you quit jerking off to your gtr. Corvette has mde the sides like this for years just making the lines sharper for each new coming model
Carlton Salmon Jan 14, 2013
The more I look at it, the more it grows on me. I do fear that it will be very colour sensitive but that's just my opinion.
Mohamad Easa Jan 14, 2013
Wow i'll buy it ........ If i could afford it lol no really i'll be waiting for it to be mine
Johnny Vu Jan 17, 2013
I just noticed this but where's the trunk?
William Downs Jan 17, 2013
Gm aint chainging the lights, they addressed the complaints of there buyers and fans and the round tail lights were a big complaint. The back sixe and interior were the corvette weak spots in the looks department and these tailights are on most gm models.. there here to stay and personally i love them makes tge car look agressive from every angle
Ben Knorr Jan 17, 2013
This is pretty much set in stone, but u never know, they might go back to the round ones later on.
Mitchell Mefford Jan 16, 2013
Is it possible that Chevy will change the tailights before sending it into production, or is this set in stone?
Tom Brewer Jan 16, 2013
This is the part that is keeping me from really liking this car. Lower half looks cheap. I also personally think corvette should have kept to the tradition of circle tai lights. Always made the corvette for me.
Michael Weber Jan 15, 2013
Reminds me of the Camaro.
Stephen Wood Jan 15, 2013
i like the rear but they need to keep the round lights
Nick Schnee Jan 15, 2013
I need to see it in person... The texture of the dander in looks pretty cheap, that's why I hope I'll like it better.
Serge Pankratov Jan 15, 2013
Agree about keeping the round lights.. Too camaroish for me 👎
Graham Young Jan 15, 2013
Back and looks great for Chevrolet I just bleed to dark of blue
Stephen Ragsdale Jan 15, 2013
back end reminds me of Nissan GTR. a bit angular and just confusing, i would imagine on a pontiac, not a vette.
Ben Knorr Jan 15, 2013
v agreed
Ryan Sansossio Jan 14, 2013
Shouldve kept the traditional round lights
Steven Luginsland Jan 14, 2013
I think round tail lights would have looked better, and the whole back looks a little busy...overall the car is beautiful...
Julian Pilinci Jan 14, 2013
Tail lights look too much like a camaro, but I love the profile and the car.
Jacob Burford Jan 14, 2013
Love the exhaust! The rest of the back looks a little busy, but the car as whole is very nice looking!
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
Just as a cool fact you would have to say a Sting Ray window the 63-67 were separate words while the c3 debuted with the Stingray name as one word
Carey Ronald Schuulz Jan 14, 2013
They said clean up on isle three and I...
Jonathan Ippolito Jan 14, 2013
I really wish this new C7 had a Stingray inspired rear window .
Wyatt Gordon Jan 14, 2013
Liking the exhaust. But the taillamps suck.
Trent Brown Jan 14, 2013
I like it! its got a good body shape
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
Agreed Jackson
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
I literally see no F12 in this
Aashish Shastri Jan 14, 2013
So that's what they mean by butt-ugly.
Andrew Schussman Jan 14, 2013
Strong resemblance to an F12 Ferrari in the back...other than the Camaro tail lights I like it though. Wish they would have kept the round ones.
Davey Edwards Jan 14, 2013
@patrick the C4 did yea but they were kind of hybrid. Really rounded corners so they resembled circles. Plus they were the same size and perfectly horizontal
Alex Renaud Jan 14, 2013
The rear would be much cleaner if the black housings around the taillights were colour-coded. And the diffuser could stand to look a bit smaller, but I assume it was engineered this way - it has purpose being that tall.
Tara Landry Boudreaux Jan 14, 2013
I think if they would have made a new firebird this would have been perfect but the vette had to evolve into something radically different with a few tweaks this rearend can be perfect for the vette. First paint the black around the lights, second less black on the lower end
Abdallah Kharbat Jan 14, 2013
Imagine this with fat tires and wide fairings
Abdallah Kharbat Jan 14, 2013
Once z06 is out its gonna look mean
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
Think the really did a good job. Not my top choice but still a very, very good car.
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
I think my main problem with the car is the flow. I don't think the back and front go together as well as they could and I don't think that the rear end meets with the sides very well. Most of my comments probably make me sound like a hater but I
Haoliang Li Jan 14, 2013
Not liking the taillights...look like camaro's. The exhaust pipes look weird, separate them would nice.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
William you seem to lack mind.
Shaniqua Latisha Jan 14, 2013
William what ru talking about?
Dan Goebel Jan 14, 2013
Colby when you refer to "real life" does that mean you were there for the unveiling or saw it on youtube...
Jordan Smith Jan 14, 2013
The seal population (or what's left of it) would really appreciate it if you stopped hating Riley.
Riley Di Pol Jan 14, 2013
I hate how they r using that general shape of tail lights on every thing now
Logan Bartnick Jan 14, 2013
This back is better than the current one
Geoff Novak Jan 14, 2013
Its new but i think the design will grow on the public in time
Barry Stewart Jan 14, 2013
May not look so bad in person though people.. Imo
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Retro has run its course u csn bitch about the tail lights all u want but unless u bougbt one gm dont give a rats ass about your opinion, alot of owners and potential buyers complained about the round taillights on the c6, car still screams corvette and if u think it dosnt your just being close minded. Corvette has and always will evolve to be the best it can be
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
The C4 had square taillights.
Davey Edwards Jan 14, 2013
I like it save for the black part being too square. But I can't justify ditching dual circle lights after 60 years. That's part of the heritage that is so important to the vette.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
It really is sad that for the first time since 1964 Chevy has stepped away from the 4 round lights.
Stas Allen Jan 14, 2013
I like the old version with the two circles on each side.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
I think the gigantic chunk of plastic really improves the look of the car. *sarcasm*
David Gray Jan 14, 2013
It's not nice at all.
Ryan Spencer Jan 14, 2013
And this ruins the entire car. This is ugly. That is all that can be said to describe it...
Jörgen Nilsson Jan 14, 2013
The rest of the car looks good, but not this. Lights too much like the Camaro and the exhausts just looks weird.
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
Camaro= meh
Janak Solanki Jan 14, 2013
The tail lights look like they will get old really quick.
Jack Howard Jan 14, 2013
I'm not liking these Camaro tailights
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
The ONLY thing I would change would be circle tail lights. Everything else is amazing
Carlton Sofocusedon Green Jan 14, 2013
Boy O Boy!!! Chevy Im proud of you for this. This is American, this is techy, this is aggressive, this is pushing the brand forward. Bringing a small block with 450hp/450tq and 18/29mpg. Corvette racing FTW! The Stingray name has been justified. USA
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
I would like circular headlights and remove the word "Corvette". We know what the emblem means. Anyway, I've never been particularly fond with this car, but now its just awesome. This could be the best ever made under $100K.
John Serely Jan 14, 2013
Looks great. I wasnt sure about ditching the circular lights, but this is good. Also the vette logo is HUGE on the back. Not sure if i like that part...
Vince DeMasi Jan 14, 2013
Since its Chevys top car they want it as up to date as possible while sticking to its roots so yeah they got rid of the circle lights but the lights are still a nod at the corvettes past while pushing the future. Beautiful, exotic, and sporty.
Vince DeMasi Jan 14, 2013
I love the new approach they took with this car! I know some people don't like the rear tail lights but like somebody said below me, the retro look has run it's course, the vette has and always will be America's sports car and Chevys top car....
Gurjit Singh Jan 14, 2013
too much camaro in the back..
Noah Gavurin Jan 14, 2013
i dont think thats plastic, looks like painted carbon fiber, i could be wrong though
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
And if you don't think these tires are wide enough, wait until the Z06... I don't think you will complain. :)
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Rear diffuser looks better in gloss black, which is an option, and also the rears are literally almost the same size as the last base. The difference is just millimeters. The picture makes them look thinner. These pictures suck compared to real life.
Jesse Jalapeno Jan 14, 2013
As mike said,it's growing on me, I'm starting to like it more & more
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
Honestly, I think this is one of the best rear ends of a car ever made. I love it.
Mike Carbaugh Jan 14, 2013
It's growing on me
Jesse Jalapeno Jan 14, 2013
Maybe
Paul Dickey Jan 14, 2013
Tail lights are trying too hard to be aggressive.
Jesse Jalapeno Jan 14, 2013
The back looks very aggressive.
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
I love everything about this car except the diffuser.
Emil Klossie Kleijsen Jan 14, 2013
I've said it on like every othe page already, but I'll say it again, daym, this looks beast!
Elias Harb Jan 14, 2013
What the hell happened ?
Shane Carroll Jan 14, 2013
Dat ass... Seriously though, well done Chevy. I never was a huge vette fan but this may have swung me over
Tom Mcleod Jan 14, 2013
Tires aren't as wide.. Chevy says new tries from Michelin developed with new compound to grip as well as the precious generation's slightly wider tires but actually give better performance in terms of speed and road noise due to less road friction.
JB Kolod Jan 14, 2013
Quad exhausts make me horny
Miguel Jimenez Jan 14, 2013
What's up with those pizza cutters? That's my only complaint.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
It's a little to angular for me but still an improvement.
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
@jordan, hahaha. But seriously this is by far the most controversial part of the car, and IMO chevy pulled it off well, but it will only Appel to certain people, but it will turn heads
Aiden Bass Jan 14, 2013
Don't look as wide
Aiden Bass Jan 14, 2013
Wait. Pizza cutter tires? They d
Oren Blumenstein Jan 14, 2013
resembles the camaro too much
Jt Collier Jan 14, 2013
Tail pipes look retarded but I dig the lights
Matt Piccolo Jan 14, 2013
Dang the rear is what used to like about this car :-(
John Hyland Jan 14, 2013
I love what they're doing to this car
Paul Arnold Jan 14, 2013
Love this rear end!
Trey Byrum Jan 14, 2013
Man this looks great love the lines look at how to roof sweeps into the tail
Michael Moschonikolakis Jan 14, 2013
I agree that the back is a little Camaro esq. I wish they kept the round lights but it still looks good!!!!
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
*bear
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
So you kind of expect them to beat a little resemblance.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Also, when you see this car in the road, you will know instantly it's not a Camaro. They really aren't that similar. If anything, this is the evil, twisted, powerful version of the Camaro's rear. Which makes sense, this is the Camaro's big brother.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
The tail lights were changed because retro has run its course, a big comolaint from owners on corvettes was the tail lights, and this will look nothing like a camaro in the dark, they are camaro.esq tail lights not the same one
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Guys, it would have been hard to evolve circular tail lights, they're pretty simplistic and everyone would've criticized them saying it looks just like the C6 rear. So they dramatically changed it so that there would be no confusion.
Paul Gladman Jan 14, 2013
quit complaining about tradition, it looks great. the taillights arent round but its not too far off from the previous look.
Chris Huff Jan 14, 2013
V haha
Jordan Smith Jan 14, 2013
Boom! There goes three baby seals.
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
It looks okay, but what happen to the trademark lights, its been corvette tradition for half a century
Tom Wilson Jan 14, 2013
Love the rear of the car minus the black plastic on the bottom
Austin Sullivan Jan 14, 2013
When it's dark it looks a lot like a camaro and I'm slightly irked
Mustafa Alshekhly Jan 14, 2013
WoooooooW
Benjamin Hardaway Jan 14, 2013
I was skeptical about the rendering of the rear but I feel completely different now this looks awesome.
Author Norman R. Colson Jan 14, 2013
Camaro back A lil too much? But it looks crazy aggressive
Kwn Donoghue Jan 14, 2013
That looks awful! The rest is nice but they have destroyed the back of it. :(
Zac Joiner Jan 14, 2013
I love it, looks aggressive and exotic
Description: That leaves us wondering how well it will age. The design is also a bit derivative from some angles, with a front end eerily similar to the SRT Viper that will be its chief rival, and a profile that r...

Jimmy Case Jan 15, 2013
I'm not sure why you called a Camaro a sedan. Or called it a CamEro.
Terry Sims Jan 15, 2013
The front end is a continuation of the C6 updated. Nice. The quarter window makes it look like a sedan (Camero). The rear end is confusing, Corvette is iconic for large round in your face tailights! No mistaking a Vette for a lesser Chevy. The tail pipes are a nice touch. Also the Stingray name and logo are a nice addition. Power is not disappointing. But the interior and exterior styling is confu...
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
I have been in many newer vettes and nothing feels like its going to "fall apart". Don't exaggerate. It's not the nicest interior, but when your competing with similar track times with cars three times the price you have to sacrifice somewhere.
Jonathan Ippolito Jan 14, 2013
The exterior looks like it was influenced by fighter jets like the F22 Raptor .
Jörgen Nilsson Jan 14, 2013
No, it's the quality I'm talking about, not the design. the quality was bad even in 1997. Maybe you have to live with it, as the car is relatively cheap, but I think it's just to bad. A lot of things feels like they are falling apart.
Ryan Patrick Clauson Jan 14, 2013
@jorgan that because they never really updated it since 1997, if they updated it they could've done good, but for back in 1997 it was nice, once you get into the early to mid 2000s it's dated
Jörgen Nilsson Jan 14, 2013
Colby: the C5 is nice to drive and a lot of speed for the money, but the interiour is amongst the worst I've been in. Maybe you don't care, but it is that bad, at least compared to european cars.
Tn Ng Jan 14, 2013
@ kyle lol nice one, flipping over every page and he's got multiple comments on each one. Lol, where are the GTR fanboys, let them go head to head.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
He never mentioned anything about luxury, just gaps. It's alright man, you don't have to tell us your psychological preferences.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
luxury isn't required for me. I buy based on performance and feel. I like luxury, but don't need it. If it's there, fantastic, if not, oh well. I'm not a prissy ass that needs this material or that.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Jörgen Oh do they? Or is it just your opinion? Do you own one? Looks to me like you're just going with the stereotypes. It may not be luxurious, but it's not "terrible". It does it's purpose and it's comfortable. I'm not a snob, so
Robert Young Jan 14, 2013
Gaps???? Eh I'm sitting in my c-6 now... Well maybe the door panels to the dash pad??
Ryan Patrick Clauson Jan 14, 2013
Car that has always offered as much performance and quality as a 6 figure car, yet people still compare it to cars nearly twice to 3 times it's cost, I haven't always agreed with the corvettes styling, but you can't beat it for the price
Ryan Patrick Clauson Jan 14, 2013
See the corvette has always had the same feeling interior ever since the c3, just upgraded over time, this if the first one where they actually spent a good amount inside the car reworking small details, keep in mind though its a 50-60 grand sports
Larry Atwood Jan 14, 2013
Maybe the 599 looked like a modern stingray
Larry Atwood Jan 14, 2013
The first thing i thought when i saw it was 599. Especially the rear 3/4 shot. It still looks like modern stingray, as someone said earlier, eventually they all start to look alike.
Ben August Jan 14, 2013
Actually I was thinking it doesn't even remotely look like the viper.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
@Tino that was the point, it still resembles a corvette just like they ways have, go look at all the old corvette they ways resemble the previous generation, just like porsche there is no need to drastically change an entire car just because
Tino Domingue Jan 14, 2013
Idk it still looks like the c6 still but with more design bits added... (In other words not a redesign/evolution, but more of a facelift) ... Although I can over look this flaw cuz it's too crazy of a car not to like!!!
Jörgen Nilsson Jan 14, 2013
No gaps in the C5? Now I know you're joking. The C5 has a terrible interiour.
Brandon Chamberlain Jan 14, 2013
Grab* stupid auto correct
Brandon Chamberlain Jan 14, 2013
Looks stupid, not a fan, and really not a fan of corvettes in general. But if one does graphic my attention ill admit it. But all vipers graphic my attention because they're so badass
Nick Sti Jan 14, 2013
C6 + 599 + GTR + Camaro = C7
Ryan Patrick Clauson Jan 14, 2013
You know of over 100 years of cars eventually they start to look alike, just because those headlights are those shape doesn't mean it's a copy of a viper, and the 599 has a profile that many cars have used
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
And oh please, wide gaps in the C6? Are you serious right now? My C5 didn't even have any gaps, much less the C6. I admit the plastics aren't expensive, but there is nothing wrong with fitting at ALL.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
I don't care what people think it looks like. This design has been in the works for years, and they copied nobody whatsoever. And also, this looks better than a Viper or F12 IMO. The viper is curvy and rounded, the Corvette is sharp and aggressive.

Ben Knorr Jan 14, 2013
@aaron, I was impressed by that too but really glad there is a button to disable it. Nothing more satisfying than a seamless heal & toe downshift. :0)
Jonathan Ippolito Jan 14, 2013
My reason for not buying the C6 was the interior but since they fixed it on the C7 and it is world-class I'm going to end up now buying a C7 .
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
My think is by taking it out it makes the interior look way more clean and smooth and modern without the huge handle in the middle.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
I was more afraid of offending Colby but I'm glad I didn't offend you either. And I know corvettes Aren't for drifting but wouldn't you want the option. Haha.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
No your not offending me I was just saying the electronic parking brake is actually really convenient. And come on, the Corvette is not for drifting....haha
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
And it's really the colors it's the leather placement pointless use of carbon fiber and the over all design. I'm sorry I don't mean to offend you I just don't like this interior.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
Ever try to drift with an electronic parking brake?
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
I personally like the electronic parking brake.
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
But the air vents...
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
A better experience for the driver, especially in a racing environment. It also has a lap timer, track gps, g force meter, and steering angle coordinator. It's made to instill confidence when performing. It's a drivers car and driver's interior.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Clay Every interiors colors are customizable. You can change the colors of pretty much anything in the interior. They are suited to their buyers preference. All quality materials packaged in a driver oriented cockpit designed for
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
People will always find shit to bitch about no matter what
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
It's far from ready for production in my opinion.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
I still have a few complaints. No "real" hand break, all 4 AC vents are different, the red strip on the dash looks awkward, and the carbon fiber looks out of place with only one page chunk that doesn't Match anything else in the car.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Who wants to complain about interior now? I'll wait....
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
The interior is really nice. Functions well and does its job and then some, all the while making the driving experience more refined and enjoyable.
Aaron Barker Jan 14, 2013
What about the active REV matching? A&M I the only one who was impressed and awed by this?
Scuttle Buttocks May 04, 2013
The red looks good
William Downs Jan 16, 2013
Steering wheel looks way better in the live photos then in these renderings, proportions look alot better
Antonio Falsetti Jan 15, 2013
Change the steering wheel.
Ben Knorr Jan 15, 2013
the number surprised me actually, of the corvettes that could potentially be sold as an automatic in 2011, nearly 72% were sold as an automatic!
Robert Young Jan 15, 2013
Miguel your an idiot. Most to all c6's were automatic excluding Z-06's that were all standard.
Jordan Smith Jan 15, 2013
Too bad Mile Hawk, Ken Madison, and Andy Rogers aren't here to see this.
Michael Weber Jan 15, 2013
Really like the interior.
William Downs Jan 15, 2013
@Jeff, thats for the rev match, guess its to turn it on or off... i just know " rev match" is printed on them
Aaron Crisp Jan 15, 2013
Conner's back!!! It's like a reunion with everyone here. Haven't had this many fellers since GTR article.
Tj Marten Jan 15, 2013
Thank god they upped the interior. Now foreigners got nothing on this beast.
Jeff Beko Jan 15, 2013
Is it just me or are there paddle shifters on the steering wheel and I believe that's a manual shifter?
Jordan Nishida Jan 15, 2013
Love that interior.
Patrick Schalk Jan 15, 2013
I guarantee if any of you turds downing this interior actually sat in it, you would think you were sitting in a 200k+ car. And what's wrong with the steering wheel? It's supposed to resemble a stingray and does just that.
No Pistons Jan 14, 2013
*lurking in the shadows*
James Myron Darnell Crabbe Jan 14, 2013
I like it.
James Myron Darnell Crabbe Jan 14, 2013
Interior's kinda sexy.
Paul Dickey Jan 14, 2013
I think that was sarcasm guys.
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
And Ross... How is a manual Vette rare?
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
Hahaha @ Connor's return. Kid frustrated me as much as anyone, but at least we will get a few laughs before he is banned again
Miguel Jimenez Jan 14, 2013
@Ross lol Vettes for the most part come in manual.
Dillon Dixon Jan 14, 2013
The steering wheel will stay I bet. I like it personally. They actually took time to design it and make it look like a stingray. It's smaller than the C6 one also.
Ross Black Jan 14, 2013
Wow. A manual corvette. Rare stuff right there
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Cylinder deactivation is virtually seemless, my friend has it on his envoy and u can never tell when it switches
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
Patrick you better believe it. There jobs are to get on carbuzz and tell us about how bad the vette sucks and what "real" interior is
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
DI, Cylinder Deactivation, tall gearing ( 7sp MT) yup this is going to be in the mid 30's mpg
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
That's what I believe as well. There is still alot of news to be released and I'm sure it will undergo a few tweaks before production. I think the wheel will be changed. I can't wait to get one at my dealership. I'm trading in my car.
Dillon Dixon Jan 14, 2013
I believe the cylinder deactivation is only for the Eco mode. If you have it in tour I don't think it does it.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
Yeah know all it needs is a shitbox interior, cheap parts and around 200 hp and matt will be in love. I hope the cylinder deactivation is button operated or that will be my biggest disappointed. I want to be able to control that.
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
Correct Kyle cylinders 1,4,6,7 get cut
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
I love how we all have the same reaction to Connors return
Noah Gavurin Jan 14, 2013
jimmy, i didnt notice that right vent, its certainly an interesting design choice, frees up some of the center console
Daniel Kenneth Babler Jan 14, 2013
I love it! It's beautiful! IMO but it does seen like the passenger is a lil but isolated...
Miguel Jimenez Jan 14, 2013
Oh great Connor is back.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
Funny you should say that Jimmy. Doesn't it have cylinder deactivation, which in a certain mode deactivates 4 of the cylinders during highway use?
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
Matt's upset that it doesn't have a 4 cylinder and cheap Asian interior?
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
Good ole' Connor hasen't changed a bit
Alex Bouckley Jan 14, 2013
Redesign the steering wheel, and this interior will receive a 10/10 in my opinion
Alex Bouckley Jan 14, 2013
Oh god... Not Connor!
Jordan Smith Jan 14, 2013
Agh crap! Run! Connor's back!
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
And B.S! Connor made a new account, did u get banned Connor???
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
At least all these trolls, plus the NAIAS is bring back the old guys to comment, Patrick, John, Matt, good to see you all posting again :D lol
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
Connor is back -__- crap, notice how when he starts hating the comments go up by 25... Glad to know our biggest douche bag troll is back
Ben Hislop Jan 14, 2013
I'd like to hire whoever made that interior to redecorate the inside of my dad's car
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
Anyone. Like Matt, who dodges my question because he doesn't know how to answer it. Or Connor who thinks he is the ultimate car interior designer. This is amazing. I didn't know we had so many design experts on CarBuzz.
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
No Dylan is right, if that steering wheel had a horse, bull, or the Mclaren logo on everyone would have their wieners out masturbating to it. Chevy fix EVERYTHING that people constantly bitched about and then some and it still not good enough for
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
@ Connor that's an answer I can understand I thought you were calling it terrible and trolling for a min my apologies lol
Jacob Burford Jan 14, 2013
Not sure about the steering wheel, but the rest is nice! Majorly improved!
Aaron Crisp Jan 14, 2013
Off the top of my head people who have gotten banned recently - Conner, Adam, Brandon Slay, Astro Boy... Etc lol good to see Pat and Matt battle it out. It's been a while. But really this interior > GTR. And this is only the base model right?
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
No need to apologize for an opinion as long as its not rude or obnoxious beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Wyatt Gordon Jan 14, 2013
*sorry
Wyatt Gordon Jan 14, 2013
Im soory, but that steering wheel is hideous.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
My issue with the steering wheel it not the look but the shape of the outer ring. I would have preferred a racing style. But I think they will tweak that before production.
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
Anything to make it terrible the point of the car wasn't to have the worlds best interior and for 52-55k id have to say you would struggle to find a much better package
Sam Reinsel Jan 14, 2013
Well Conner, i hope you're going to college for Car Interior design, so you can show all these idiots how it's done, eh?
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
So some of the shapes are not appealing what if the vents were shaped that way for maximum airflow? The steering wheel I honestly don't have an issue but the material quality looks pretty good and it looks like a functional interior to me I don't see
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
If you look on the far right vent it has controls for heated seats, temp. Or something.
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
@connor explain how it's terrible then? I don't see the problem with it
Kevin Lavier Jan 14, 2013
This isnt the most refined interior but it reminds me of a fighter jet with everything pointing towards the driver and all
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
If this had a prancing horse everyone would love it
Reese Fenske Jan 14, 2013
that steering wheel is puke worthy
Connor Scanlon Jan 14, 2013
Proving that even in expensive cars Chevy can only make ugly interiors.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
Haha hopefully
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
I think astro boy got banned lol
Tara Landry Boudreaux Jan 14, 2013
Come to think about it that center a/c vent is out of place. Maybe I'm to picky or just expect better RnD for a car that cost $65,000 base
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
Carbuzz also unbann people too, like me a couple years ago..
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
Idk but FORDfan got banned a while ago and Elvis did too, I thought a couple other forgettable names did to
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
Zachary, who's been banned beside Connor recently? I certainly haven't noticed anyone. The Admins seem very relaxed about banning.
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
Didn't know you could see how many comments people have posted neat lol
Tara Landry Boudreaux Jan 14, 2013
Looks good minus that red dash pad on the P/side it does not flow it's just out of place
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
@matt, no it's missing the third pedal and the stick that you shift the car with
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
Yes, but usually the zr1 fanboy gets banned the next day because they take it to the extreme, Matt is like a ninja, he just does enough to piss people who like gm, like Patrick, pissed.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
@Zachary, trust me, I know his fanboy history. I didn't comment a lot earlier, bit I've been reading this app for more than a year. Got my iPhone 2011 Christmas. But seriously, with either of these cars, some fanboy always brings the other up.
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
@kyle, you only have 230 comments, somewhat new, you have not seen Matt's fanboy-nis in action
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
Yeah except the corvette offers a little something called a manual still. Good to see Chevy is still making a drivers car instead of an AWD auto that my grandmother could drive competitively called the GTR. Bless her heart. Get out of here matt.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
Someone always mentions the ZR1 on GTR articles, so why can't Matt do the opposite. The hypocrisy is strong with this one.
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
GTR interior has nothing on this
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
@matt, your pretty clueless for bringing up the gtr on a corvette article, especially the new one.
Matt Piccolo Jan 14, 2013
@ William, the gtr's interior has everything on this
Matt Piccolo Jan 14, 2013
@ Patrick, omg if u don't understand what I mean, which by that comment u obviously don't, I'm not even gunna try to explain it to you cuz you'll never understand -_- ur just that clueless
Tn Ng Jan 14, 2013
@ reid lol well said.
Jt Collier Jan 14, 2013
Exactly, my favorite car is the Aston Vanquish but I'm not going to act like its the single greatest thing since the wheel. These articles are put up so people can state their opinions on a particular subject so if a little criticism chaps someone's ass, I apologize but take it like a man.
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
Ahhhh, the old carbuzz, Patrick and Matt going at it. Matt if your going to love the gtr, go do it on one of the ricer articles, which is all of them...
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
Oh also fat people would be screwed in this thing
Reid Huff Jan 14, 2013
I personally don't like the Corvette. I think it is ugly. People can argue oh its fast, well, it isn't the speed that makes me like a car it is the personality. I personally don't like the Corvette personality. Not everybody has to like a car that you like. It is called an opinion and I am tired of people on this app thinking that because they like a car it is the best car in the world.
Paul Dickey Jan 14, 2013
Jt there's no point. He won't stop biggest fanboy you'll run into guaranteed.
Jt Collier Jan 14, 2013
No matter what I say, I'm an idiot and I'm narrow minded due to my criticism of a steering wheel? Sounds about right.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Just because you see fault in something that really doesn't have any from an ergonomical or aesthetic standpoint, shows that you are narrow minded. This is the best automotive value on the planet. I don't care what you have to say, you're an idiot.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
Jt, like alive said time and time again, if something is worth defending, why hit defend it. Chevrolet has addressed every major weakness of the previous Corvette, and the results are spectacular for a car that will start out at $53,000(estimated).
Jt Collier Jan 14, 2013
Colby, dude, do me a favor and shut the fuck up with this whole "defend the vette at every turn" thing. I think they nailed the exterior save for the exhaust, I just think the interior isn't quite as nice as I was hoping. This actually is the first corvette I've liked since the old stingrays, please get off of chevy's dick. You'd love it if it looked like a Lada. On a side note, this is a fantast...
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
I love the gtr inside and out, but im sorry matt the gtr interior has nothing on this
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
Haha please explain what IS and ISN'T a "basic layout" Matt. You about to get a stern talkin to by grandpa Pat
Robert Young Jan 14, 2013
Ugly vents and steering wheel. Surprised nobody pick up on that it resembles a sting ray...? Lol. But overall I give it an 8. Good job Chevy
Matt Piccolo Jan 14, 2013
@ Patrick, Ahah if the gtr's interior is boring, idk what u consider this. The basic lay out of this is pretty damn similar to some sports cars from the damn 90's and early 2000's (minus the LCD screens)
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
Easiest way to tell is the top of the seats unfortunately can't see it lol you may be right though
Tara Fitria Jan 14, 2013
I've seen other pictures online and it seems like these would actually be the sport seat, the standard seat seemed not to have shoulder bolsters but I could be wrong.
Tyler Tarbox Jan 14, 2013
America is sure stepping up its interior game. The three top American cars of the moment (Vette, Viper, CTS-V) all have world class power and world class interiors. Looks like America is back and here to stay
Daniel Eads Jan 14, 2013
The only thing I would want different is the steering wheel to be flat bottomed.
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
For whoever asked more supportive seats are an option these are the standard seats
Logan Bartnick Jan 14, 2013
They fixed the largest complaint about the Corvette, the dull interior. This is an amazing interior that I would gladly sit in.
Dillon Dixon Jan 14, 2013
I love it all. I love how the red leather goes from the top and around the center stack, and then it looks as if it continues back to the armrest. I like interiors that flow, and this does it nicely.
Tony Flaherty Jan 14, 2013
X factor will be on shortly ha ha
Barry Stewart Jan 14, 2013
For all that money the interior still looks short of premium quality.
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
Gave*
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
Also the passenger side is really boring. At least Ferrari have them an RPM counter lol
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
Reminds me of the C4 interior
Geoff Novak Jan 14, 2013
Amazing driver centered interior
Dave Larby Jan 14, 2013
This is a definite improvement over the C6 interior, but I think it's going to date faster than a 40 year old virgin on a sure thing!!
Nick Schnee Jan 14, 2013
The whole dash seems to be leaning towards and enclosing the driver... that's what I was talking about.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
It looks like the interior from a Pontiac solstice with the addition of a sat-nave.
Carlos Gallego Rodriguez Jan 14, 2013
Ey! I have a cuestion? Where is the handbrake??? Is it electronic? In a Vette??
David Gray Jan 14, 2013
I think this is the best interior I've seen come out of the USA in a long time
Phil Johnson Jan 14, 2013
This interior won't age well. Looks like something out of an old Supra or 300ZX
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
And raw carbon fiber looks cheesy in my opinion. I know a lot of people like it but I think it looks bad.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
There is no wall betwen u and your passenger so how are u isolated from them, u can reach over and touch them, can talk to them.. dont get what u mean nick
Nick Schnee Jan 14, 2013
It must be okay if you're alone in the car, problem is, it's a two seated and I wouldn't want to be completely isolated from my passenger.
Paul Trahan Jan 14, 2013
I love this interior!! Finally GM has out a steering wheel fit for a sports car and now an econo car. It looks similar to the GXP wheel in my G8 with appropriate hand grips.
Jetnor Gjikokaj Jan 14, 2013
Reminds me of a viper, but This car is still great from my view!! :D
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
I like how when they were unveiling the corvette the one guy said "I has genuine aluminum" like the world has such a shortage of aluminum that manufacturers are faking it and consumers are questioning whether or not their aluminum is genuine.
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
So I guess it doesn't matter anyway. The GTR interior is boring as sh*t and the center console is a joke with too many buttons.
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
No, anyone who is dumb enough to say that the GTR has a better looking interior. I'm all for looks being subjective and what not but you are gonna bitch about it no matter what it looks like and always say that the competition looks better
Ryan Spencer Jan 14, 2013
Now this is a sight for sore eyes. Such a better interior.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
the competition in every aspect dramatically. Also there are different options and colors, so don't base opinion from one picture. Go sit in it, feel it, then judge. This car was made to do everything perfectly and effortlessly. End of story.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
People that are Corvette haters are so angry now that they can't find as much to hate on. It's almost hilarious. More annoying though. The Corvette gets a little closer to perfection with each generation. And the purpose of this car is to destroy
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Jt and Clay Congratulations, you're both stupid. Matt, I like most of your comments, so I'll let you slide. How does REAL carbon fiber look cheesy you moron? This is grade A leather, aluminum, and carbon fiber. It looks very nice and you know it.
Matt Piccolo Jan 14, 2013
@ Patrick, what so anyone who doesn't like this is automatically a hater? Good logic bud. Just bec someone doesn't like it doesn't mean they're a hater
Tyler Tarbox Jan 14, 2013
Well that's impressive. Honestly can't find one thing bad about this car. Looks great, ridiculously fast, world class build, well priced. Same for the Viper as well
Jesse Jalapeno Jan 14, 2013
Lol patrick, I just realized how many haters are on this app
Patrick Schalk Jan 14, 2013
Haha haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate. This looks better than any competitor in my book with MAYBE the exception of the Viper.
Mike Carbaugh Jan 14, 2013
Wow big improvement, good work chevy
Johnny Vu Jan 14, 2013
VERRY driver-oriented interior
Jesse Jalapeno Jan 14, 2013
Loving the interior.
Zeus Mocha Jan 14, 2013
Thank you Dillion. That is the one thing people will forget. This is not the high end. Then again idk if they would change the interior of a Z06/ZR1 or equivalent. It's cool non the less
Author Norman R. Colson Jan 14, 2013
Looks a little tight for my taste I need some damn legroom lol
Dillon Dixon Jan 14, 2013
People do you realize that this is still the base Vette? This is hella nice for around $60k! The viper is nearly twice as much as this! I think it looks awesome!
Alex Bouckley Jan 14, 2013
I don't like the new badge too much
Tom Mcleod Jan 14, 2013
I like how just below the vent on the far right of the passenger side, they've put a small LCD touch screen to adjust climate controls for that side of the car. Pretty sure that's a first.
Ben Knorr Jan 14, 2013
Finally the vette gets the interior it deserves, I think it looks awesome! Plus REAL carbon fibre, and optional sport seats! cannot wait to sit in one for reals!
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
Electronic parking brake!
Drake Nailon Jan 14, 2013
Wow, uh it is better than the C6 but do they even look at the competitions interiors? This is so much worse than it could have been. They had a chance to really knock it out of the park and once again it disappoints.
Justin Tucker Jan 14, 2013
It had no hand break :,(
No Pistons Jan 14, 2013
Steering wheel was designed to resemble a sting ray
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
I just noticed that every single AC vent is a different shape, don't know about you but that would annoy me.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
I don't like the one button next to the other button. What's that stupid black piece by the air vent!? The carpet doesn't have enough thread count from what I can see. Shut up, a Corvette finally has a nice interior.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
Miles from the viper. The carbon fiber looks cheesy and the red strip on the dash looks out of place.
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
@jordan, 2 more haters...
Matt Piccolo Jan 14, 2013
LFA tach much? Lol. But this is a lot better than the c6, not that that was a hard accomplishment! Still no as nice as competitors IMO (viper, gtr, 911 etc.)
Jt Collier Jan 14, 2013
Yeah, the interior still needs work that wheel looks downright bad and the red across the dash looks pretty lame
Zaire Wilkins Jan 14, 2013
Idk about thise air vents
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
And i agree about the steering wheel, entire car is perfect and thats the only oart i dont like... but idgaf cause this car is so perfect now
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Viper copied off the lfa with the digital tach, so this didnt copy the viper, they got smart and used a great tool, bunch of stationary and ugly guages or a fully customizable guage cluster... wounder whats better
Josh Negron Jan 14, 2013
Seat bottoms look like they haven't changed... I hope they have.
Joe Talerico Jan 14, 2013
Steering wheel looks cheaper than it should, but the rest looks pretty good.
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
I gatta say I prefer analog, but this is awesome and the layout sorta resembles a supra
Tom Wilson Jan 14, 2013
Far from the viper
Chris Huff Jan 14, 2013
There are options for different rev gauges so its not just one
Austin Sullivan Jan 14, 2013
LED screens do tend to look the same... Shut up
Trey Villarreal Jan 14, 2013
Really good layout and color scheme.
Jordan Smith Jan 14, 2013
Perfect!
Benjamin Hardaway Jan 14, 2013
Nice interior.
Aaron Crisp Jan 14, 2013
Looks great!
Jordan Nishida Jan 15, 2013
Would take the corvette over the new viper.
Gurjit Singh Jan 15, 2013
smooth front and edgy in the back.. i'd take viper over this anyday
James Myron Darnell Crabbe Jan 14, 2013
Well if anything the Viper looked vaguely familiar to the Vette. Plus the C7 concept was first. (Although It Looked Different In The Eyes). It first appeared in "Transformers 2" as Side Swipe. And in "3" as Side Swipe.
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
It is smaller than the c6
Ryan Sansossio Jan 14, 2013
Still too small. But better than the miniture C6
Daniel Kenneth Babler Jan 14, 2013
I love it... Just not this color
Jacob Burford Jan 14, 2013
Nice looking, but the Viper has sleeker lines and is sexier! IMO
Wyatt Gordon Jan 14, 2013
The front is ripping off the viper.
Reese Fenske Jan 14, 2013
a little r35 on the side
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
You can go to chevrolet.com and customize it with the new colors.
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
I get it because it looked nice on the older ones but I agree that it won't fit well on this car.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
I actually like a dark green. We will see how it looks on here.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
My only complaint is the hideous forest green color they are offering. Not proud of my GM for bringing that back.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
Dang even I'm tired of hearing it. Shut up with all the "looks like XXXXX". Who cares if it does or doesn't. It's purely coincidental, especially if it's same brand. Who cares? So stop complaining for once.
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
And how is that a gtr middle, or a viper front...
Zachary Maurer Jan 14, 2013
@andres, OMG! You shutting up!
Andres Felipe Terreros Dorado Jan 14, 2013
OMG! A viper from Chevrolet!
Haoliang Li Jan 14, 2013
Viper front+GTR middle+ Camaro back= C7
Dylan Bruder Jan 14, 2013
Complain complain complain you just can't make some people happy
Dillon Dixon Jan 14, 2013
The rear fender vent is fully functional. They took that straight from the C6-R race car. No complaints here.
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
The front looks like an old Camaro. I think it looks worse in this color
Will Will Jan 14, 2013
The front is starting to look like a ferrari, the side like a gtr, and the rear is just amazing.
David Parenti Jan 14, 2013
I dig any vent that's functional. If it has a purpose, it makes it that much better.
Blaise Harned Jan 14, 2013
Ya, the rear fender vents can go. Other than that though it's amazing!!
Paul Dickey Jan 14, 2013
Not diggin the vents on the rear fender.
Anthony Iron Maiden Lucero Jan 14, 2013
Headlights looks like there from a viper and the rear looks like it was tweaked from a camaro.
Clay Williams Jan 14, 2013
It has a great profile but some of the other lines are to busy.
Christopher McSween Jan 14, 2013
Kinda like the Infiniti FX. You like it or u don't. I like it.
Brandon Chamberlain Jan 14, 2013
Don't like it, dumb looking
Brennan Taylor Jan 27, 2013
Love it in grey
Tj Marten Jan 15, 2013
The door handle reminds me of the cts coupe. But I love what they did here.
Lee Oleinick Jan 14, 2013
I see some Ferrari in this angle and color ... Not crazy about the front or rear.
Wyatt Gordon Jan 14, 2013
Looks alot better in this color, I have to admit
Kevin Lavier Jan 14, 2013
I actually like ut more than i wanted to... A lot more
Cody Gillard Jan 14, 2013
From this angle it looks ok but I still think that they took too much design aspects from the viper
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
Mine would be a dark maroon with a tan or slate interior.
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
I woukd have to get the C7, love the zr1 but the stingray is to damn sexy to ignore, plus its faster then a z06. Think thats more then enough for a DD... want it in white or yellow
David Justice Jan 14, 2013
Looks good on gray!
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
If I had the money... ZR1. Just cause I love drag racing. But this is really nice
Robert Young Jan 14, 2013
60ish I think. But I'll take mine in black please.
Thomas William Tuer-sipos Jan 14, 2013
So if you had the money, which one this or zr1?! I my self can't decide!
Tim Preisinger Jan 14, 2013
Hopefully the price stays around where it currently is. Bang for the buck is one of the greatest things about a Corvette
Jackson Michael Jan 14, 2013
The back half looks amazing from the side but I don't like the front or the actual rear end much
Nick Schnee Jan 14, 2013
You are saying it the Vanquish looks like this? BLASPHEMY!
Stas Allen Jan 14, 2013
The side reminds me of a vanquish a little.
Greg Kenerly Jan 14, 2013
Colby, leave the exotic colors to the exotics. This needs to be black, red or white. Sleeper is king.
Tara Fitria Jan 14, 2013
When you add the diff, ride control, dry sump, sport seats, I see the msrp getting north of 60 in a hurry.
Blaise Harned Jan 14, 2013
Oh ok, cool!
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
From what ive heard prices are staying about the same
Blaise Harned Jan 14, 2013
I wonder how much the MSRP will be over the previous vette. Do any of you guys know??
William Downs Jan 14, 2013
Colby if u go to the stingray website they have a color changer now, shit looks beast yellow with the black rims or white with any of the rims
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
I hate the color and wheels in this one. But it still looks good. Show me some yellow with black wheels, I want something exotic looking, not plain jane.
Vince DeMasi Jan 14, 2013
Really cause I swear I see some Hyundai elantra in this car.....
Gurjit Singh Jan 14, 2013
ferrari in the front.. gtr roofline and camaro's back.. wtf designers did new to this car?
Alex Bouckley Jan 14, 2013
If you look at the front half of the pic, it looks like a pointy viper
Jon Ashley Jan 14, 2013
Yeah it shares a couple of similar lines. Cars generally have lines. This car is unmistakably corvette.
Anthony Bartolone Jan 14, 2013
Yo this is a hot looking lambo. I can tell cuz it has wheels. *they see me trolling*
Drew Humphrey Jan 14, 2013
Looks like a Volkswagen Polo to me guys.
Pablo Herasme Jan 14, 2013
A touch of gtr in the roofline
Tom Wilson Jan 14, 2013
It's not a gtr or a viper. It's pure Chevy
Chris Huff Jan 14, 2013
Nawaf, you said that at least five times now, we get it.
Carlton Salmon Jan 14, 2013
Looks good in this colour.
Trey Villarreal Jan 14, 2013
Actually the entire car's shape at this angle looks Viperish
Author Norman R. Colson Jan 14, 2013
Now it lookalike a corvette
Danny Munoz Jan 14, 2013
Love it...but they could of done a better job on the back.
jay rocheleau Jan 14, 2013
Back looks like Batmobile front ... striking nonetheless and would look great in my driveway.
Nick Gines Jan 14, 2013
Wow... They didn't do a great job with the back... I like the old one better. And it looks a lot like the new viper
Chris Hill Jan 14, 2013
I'm not a huge Vette fan, but they did a pretty good job blending the old and the new together. Hope this interior doesn't rattle itself apart like the old ones did.
Ahmed Bin Saeed Jan 14, 2013
It looks like trans am from the tail lights.
Simeon Prasad Jan 14, 2013
Looks like a fucked up camaro rear end. Last gen looked better
Ben August Jan 14, 2013
Personally I love the look of this car. I do think its funny when people hate the rear design of sportscars....it's probably the view they'll see most often. Better get used to it.
Logan Bartnick Jan 14, 2013
They had to keep the four circles in the form of the exhaust.
Stas Allen Jan 14, 2013
@Will tell me about it, so many exhausts!!!
Lou Guerrero Jan 14, 2013
This one looks better than the red one.
Will Will Jan 14, 2013
I normally wouldnt be praising a corvette, but to me, this rear's probably the best in the business. Nice tailights, amazing design, and 4 exhaust tips in a row is just insane.
Brandon Chamberlain Jan 14, 2013
Rear looks cheap
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
It's just this picture with this color guys. If you see one in person you will NOT have the same opinion. The pictures of this car are shit compared to seeing it live and in action. And I would like to see a white or yellow one.
Vince DeMasi Jan 14, 2013
The issue for me is the color they chose for these pictures
Justin Di Nardo Jan 14, 2013
Looks too busy and plasticky
Nick Sti Jan 14, 2013
Too square.
Mike Carbaugh Jan 14, 2013
It doesn't seem like it matches the rest of the car that well
Paul Dickey Jan 14, 2013
Ugly rear.
Frederick Perez Jan 14, 2013
Not sure about the rear
Tony Marro Jan 14, 2013
Looks exotic and fast. Operation "world-class" accomplished. Bravo, Chevy.
Joe Talerico Jan 14, 2013
The rear is telling me to "use the Force, Luke."
Shivash Singh Jan 14, 2013
This is one of those cars that looks either nice in pictures and crap in real life or crap in pictures and awesome in real life
Darryle Moody Jan 14, 2013
That rear treatment does not look that great there at all.
Dylan Gregori Page Jan 14, 2013
I wish they stayed circle
Dillon Dixon Jan 14, 2013
@mason says the person with SRT as their profile pic.
Jamie Mcpherson Jan 14, 2013
Wow, right on Chevy! Will always be my dream car!
Mason Sch Jan 14, 2013
Nice way to copy the srt viper
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
Ah. Cool
Dave Larby Jan 14, 2013
The dash looks better without the red accents.
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
It's leather but I'm talking about real leather. Cow hide. Before they color it.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
Wait is it leather or pleather?
Jimmy Case Jan 14, 2013
Reminds my of Ford king ranch seats. I love the authentic leather look.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
Oh and no, that wasn't sarcasm. Genuine appreciation for this new interior.
Kyle Rawn Jan 14, 2013
I like how they just updated the previous interior. I've always liked more driver centered consoles. Like this or the Supra.
John Serely Jan 14, 2013
Finally, they have a good interior
Dillon Dixon Jan 14, 2013
Oh and this interior color scheme is fantastic! I'm loving the brown stitching going through everything. It ties it all together so nicely.
Dillon Dixon Jan 14, 2013
I'm so glad they are bringing back the targa roof! It looks so good as one too.
Will Will Jan 14, 2013
Still not liking the interior, but hey, its still a remarkable improvement from the previous gen, and chevy deserves applause for it.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
@Nawwaf Actually this is just a coupe with the targa top removed. You can see it in the gallery at the end of the article.
Colby Church Jan 14, 2013
There are two different seat options as well. The competition seats look awesome. They are pure racing seats that are comfortable for everyday use. Both use magnesium cradles.
Jordan Jackson Jan 14, 2013
I like how they added the "oh crap!" handle for the passenger seat, just like the viper tho I don't mean to make a comparison there
Michael Moschonikolakis Jan 14, 2013
Best interior the Corvette has ever had. Doesn't look cheap like the previous models even though it's similar to Viper......but that's OK!
Chris Huff Jan 14, 2013
Its like the current one and the viper put together. But i still like like it
Jordan Smith Jan 14, 2013
Look at that. I may be very biased but it's almost on par or dare I say equal to the new Viper's interior.
