No, screw the merc. Long live 458!
Sam Oglesby Jan 01, 2013
Erm no it's not straight line the Benz has it
Dhruv Cb Jan 01, 2013
The 458 is faster in the bends and in the straight too
Description: That's what a couple of owners set out to find out on what looks like a closed-off construction road or maybe a runway. The video, which we bring you for this week's installment of Drag Race...

Wow didn't think the 458 would pull on the SLS like that , both awesome cars both sound amazing.
Liam Dowling Jan 02, 2013
Personal I would take the 458 but I think they are both great cars!
William Downs Jan 02, 2013
Ben what bull shit did I spew, please elaborate on your asshole comment. @Jacob I've never driven the 458;or SLS just talked to owners, gtr is the only one I have expierence with, and even with all the computers the car was still a handful, a lot easier then other high performance cars I've driven but still was no cake walk to drive fast
Ben Knorr Jan 02, 2013
there goes William spewing all kinds of bullshit again, like a bullshit volcano; quiet for a bit then blahhh. bullshit everywhere.
Jacob Burford Jan 02, 2013
no manuals available!
Jacob Burford Jan 02, 2013
It's the same thing between manual and automatic gearboxes! Yes dual clutches are faster shifting, but manuals give a better sense of control and the feel thing I was talking about! The biggest problem with the SLS and 458 is the fact that there is
Jacob Burford Jan 02, 2013
The problem with all those computers is they take away the sense of you having pure control of the car!
Monica Masl Jan 02, 2013
You honestly think if the Germans or the Italian makers knew how to use and tune the technology the gtr has they wouldn't? Come on now No one likes losing especially when your opponent is not in your level
John Darwin Price Jan 02, 2013
And I'd rather have a Caterham R500. As long as it's about the experience, this car has no computers for driver aid, a manual gearbox, and will beat both a 458 and a SLS in a sprint to 60.
Vince Cassi Jan 02, 2013
I'd rather have a GT-R than a minivan.
William Downs Jan 01, 2013
Idk about all that, gtr is a fantastic cars and feels amazing to drive, SLS just feels like your average amg merc, brutish German luxury/muscle but I've never been in a 458 so can't comment, GTR doesn't drive any different then other cars, the computers don't drive for you, all they do is allow your to push both your limits and the cars without killing your self
Jacob Burford Jan 01, 2013
Yes, the SLS and 458 have computers, but compared to the GTR, they are low tech!
Jacob Burford Jan 01, 2013
The GTR can compete with these two performance wise, but when it comes to appeal and personality, you shouldn't be bringing up a car that is more computer than anything else!
Jacob Burford Jan 01, 2013
The only reason why a GTR is faster is because all the technology it carries! The 458 and SLS are much more pure of a driving experience! It isn't about how fast a car is, but how it feels! The GTR has zero feel compared to these two!
William Downs Jan 01, 2013
No need to get all angry cause the gtr bitch slaps both these cars, its just a better performing car, all 3 have computers, the Japanese are just smarter then the Italians and Germans at making them more useful other then just for safty
William Downs Jan 01, 2013
Gtr is not a soulless fax machine
Jacob Burford Jan 01, 2013
Don't bring the fax machine into a game between two such excellent cars!
Jacob Burford Jan 01, 2013
The GTR is a giant soulless computer! The 458 and SLS have souls!
Nick Schnee Jan 01, 2013
You, shut up.
Dhruv Cb Jan 01, 2013
The 458 had a pathetic start but still won easily
Jack Howard Jan 01, 2013
That Ferrari is quite a looker. As well as the sound from the SLS
Wyatt Gordon Jan 02, 2013
God, what a beautiful car... The 458, not the Merc...that Ferrari really is a form of aesthetic perfection
William Downs Jan 01, 2013
Jack Brandon Dec 30, 2012 BMW m3> any American or Japanese car , that's copyed and pasted from your post on the Datsun article from a few days ago
Jacob Burford Jan 01, 2013
Away from that argument, both these cars are in my top 5 list! The slick looks and performance of the 458 and the mean attitude of the SLS are both irresistible!
Jack Howard Jan 01, 2013
Then a lot more people should be banned than just me and him haha
Drew Humphrey Jan 01, 2013
Both of you should be banned from CarBuzz. I hate looking through the comments and seeing endless streams of pointless arguments. Your discussion is irrelevant to the article.
Jack Howard Jan 01, 2013
What are you talking about?
Jack Howard Jan 01, 2013
You did say that, on the Datsun article.
Coleman DuCharme Jan 01, 2013
Everyone please stop arguing and listen to Jack the car expert.
Walker Carroll Jan 01, 2013
Jack, you did say that. And he wasn't saying that behind your back, he wanted you to see that. Also, your opinion changes weekly
Nick Schnee Jan 01, 2013
Trollers? That's new lol
Dhruv Cb Jan 01, 2013
Yeah trollers gonna troll
Jack Howard Jan 01, 2013
Haha ok. I'm sure that even without my comment there will be an argument though.
Dhruv Cb Jan 01, 2013
Not again please guys
Jack Howard Jan 01, 2013
From the wise words of Jack Brandon, "Ferraris are the greatest in the world and American and Japanese cars are trash. M3>any American or Japanese car."
Jack Howard Jan 01, 2013
Two great cars.
William Downs Jan 02, 2013
I love spotting SLS on the road when riding my bike, its fun fallowing them listning to the crazy noise coming out the back..specially when they show off and gun it... spine tingler every time
Jacob Burford Jan 02, 2013
Screw the SLS? Ok, it's your opinion but saying screw it is a bit harsh for such a beautiful yet brutish beast!
Wyatt Gordon Jan 02, 2013
Screw the SLS
Mariano Vertiz Jan 01, 2013
I'd have the sls
Drew Humphrey Jan 01, 2013
Can I have one of each?
Al Dino Jan 12, 2013
What's ironic is that a king should be siting in the passenger seat and not Ronald McDonald :p
Jacob Burford Jan 01, 2013
How dare such a terrible fast food chain brand itself on two such beautiful cars!
Drew Humphrey Jan 01, 2013
McMerc :)
Coleman DuCharme Jan 01, 2013
At least it's not Cheerios.. Stock cars drive me crazy.
Eric Anthony Jan 01, 2013
McMerc haha
Dylan Bruder Jan 01, 2013
But aren't burgers normally fast food? Lol
Pablo Herasme Jan 01, 2013
Burgers and going fast does not fit
Dhruv Cb Jan 01, 2013
Agreed
Stas Allen Jan 01, 2013
Burger King. Always ruins everything.
Dhruv Cb Jan 01, 2013
Look at Ferrari !
Daniel Carvalho Jan 02, 2013
Maybe not, if you add a Lambo or Pagani or Koenigsegg, then you have it!
Jacob Burford Jan 01, 2013
They would make one of the best two car garages! They both have everything you would ever want from supercars!
Drew Humphrey Jan 01, 2013
I bet 458 and SLS drivers get along super well...like an opposites attract sort of thing?
Pablo Herasme Jan 01, 2013
Are these cars married to eachother? There like alway together
Mariano Vertiz Jan 01, 2013
If there was a Lamborghini aventador it would win, that thing launches like an animal!!!
Jacob Burford Jan 01, 2013
I'll keep my 458 in red and my SLS in silver!
Drew Humphrey Jan 01, 2013
Good way to ruin some great cars.
Stas Allen Jan 01, 2013
Love the wrap! Looks good on a Ferrari, on a Lamborghini it wouldn't look good..... I wonder.
Jack Howard Jan 01, 2013
That Italia looks like trash.
