The acclaimed director of "Heat" and "The Last of the Mohicans" gets behind the wheel of Ferrari’s latest V12 supercar and loves every minute of it.
Hollywood director Michael Mann likes his Ferraris. He's featured them in some of his work, like Miami Vice (both the old series and the new film) and the promotional clip he did for the Ferrari California.
As the proud owner of a 599 GTB Fiorano and 599 GTO, it was only a matter of time before he considered adding their successor, the new F12berlinetta, to his collection. So while in town for the Venice Film Festival, he popped across to Maranello to test out the new Prancing Horse. "You are so closely in tune with the car you feel the same connection as you have with the camera when you're shooting a scene," said Mann after a few laps around the Fiorano circuit in the new F12. "The same concentration, the same emotion."
