Description: I know what you're thinking and it probably goes something like this: "How and why is the ultimate chick car being given its own feature write-up?" Two things about that question: One, ...

William Downs Sep 30, 2012
From his bad idea, but if it does have paperwork then I take it back
William Downs Sep 30, 2012
Just noticed that is says the seller claims its from ruf, but taking a second look and with all the turbo s badges and ruf badges on every panel I'm starting to think maybe its not really from ruf, and just this guy trying to get money back
David Justice Sep 29, 2012
If you don't know who RUF is, please delete this app.
Bryan Wesly Pascual Sep 29, 2012
It makes sense, that is one Ruf bug! (Pun intended)
Paul Lissona Oct 01, 2012
Or the original ones are good too.
Paul Lissona Oct 01, 2012
The newest beetles are way better.
Alex Stanzel Sep 29, 2012
I think it's neat.
Sean Gillespie Sep 29, 2012
Definitely a poor mans porsche. But much girlyer, to many smooth curves and round lights.
Javier Alonso Rivas Sep 29, 2012
ive always think beetle front looks a lot like 911 but girlier
Nicolai Stålstrøm Dalen Sep 29, 2012
A guy just across town has a RUF CTR2. This is just way too different.
Dylan Bruder Sep 29, 2012
Now it is a 911! Just kidding
Timothy Hooker Sep 29, 2012
this looks like those little aliens on close encounters of the third kind...the little stumpy ones
Carlton Salmon Sep 29, 2012
I'd happily drive this - it looks great.
Cory Allen Sep 29, 2012
This is badass, and I would drive it!
Ian Barger Sep 29, 2012
Lucky!!! I love porsches
Tanton Stoneman Sep 29, 2012
I have to admit, that is pretty cool you had an RUF. which one?
Description: Just type a Google search for the "CTR Yellowbird Porsche 911" and you'll immediately understand why this Bug is special. RUF was founded in 1939 by Alois Ruf Sr. and was originally a s...

Same goes for affordable cars.
Owen Tiernan Oct 01, 2012
I respect super cars and love hearing about how they reach new limits in what man can achieve on four wheels.
Owen Tiernan Oct 01, 2012
Honestly, I have respect for and like hearing about anything with 2 wheels or more aslong as it's interesting.
Paul Lissona Oct 01, 2012
Yah I also would way rather hear about cars that cost much less than $100,000.
Paul Dickey Sep 29, 2012
Brandon don't give yourself so much credit.
Patrick Schalk Sep 29, 2012
Same here. I'm more interested in domestic news and updates that some 2.5 million dollar whatever. Even though I love the Venom GT.
William Downs Sep 29, 2012
Yea I would reather read more about car I could buy one day then a million articles about cars ill never own, unless there really rare low production cars, like a Koenigsegg, pagani u knows cars that chances of seeing a 100-1
Jordan Jackson Sep 29, 2012
@brandon: ur not alone, I like hearing about supercars, but I'd prefer to read about the more affordable cars like hot hatches and muscle cars, lol
John Serely Sep 29, 2012
@brandoon "everyone besides me" No, not at all. Haha
William Downs Sep 29, 2012
I care more about normal cars ten supercars but I agree this is just lame, it's just a beetle that some crazy guy spent over 100k to get a badge and 225hp, and in the end u have an expensive slow beetle
Nicolai Stålstrøm Dalen Sep 29, 2012
Ruf bug. They tought of it too. Ba dum tsss
Description: According to the seller, the 2002 “RUF Bug” was built in cooperation with RUF USA and was inspired by the performance and engineering abilities of the famous German-based tuner. It has over $115,000 a...

Because its the Beetle Turbo S and RUF does Porsches I thought that with such amount of money invested they had put the 911 Turbo S's engine in it
Paul Lissona Oct 01, 2012
Sea figures must be way off here.
Tyler Tarbox Sep 30, 2012
Hmm for that money you could have this or a used Gallardo...s
Quinn Rogers Sep 29, 2012
I was expecting like 600hp
Michael Davidson Sep 29, 2012
I was expecting like 400+ hp. Not 225.
Kyle McCullough Sep 29, 2012
Hating much? I'd never buy this, but its cool to see a RUF of any kind
Patrick Schalk Sep 29, 2012
This guy is an idiot.
Dylan Bruder Sep 29, 2012
No thanks 300 maybe I could have dealt with but not 225 for that price
Dillon Magee Sep 29, 2012
$115,000 and 6 years seems like a lot for 225 hp.
Carlton Salmon Sep 29, 2012
I'm failing to see exactly where the $115k went on this. The wheels, brakes, suspension, engine upgrade, bodykit and interior surely don't add to anywhere near that much - unless you factor in development and labour costs by Ruf, I guess.
William Downs Sep 29, 2012
But why this beetle, could have atleast spent that money on an older beetle or the new one, at least the 2012 dosnt scream I'm a girl
William Downs Sep 29, 2012
Just cause it was mad by ruf doesn't mean its valuable, it's still a vw beetle and no one is lusting after a new vw beetle ruf tuned or not its just a waste of money specially with how much he spent and the end result. In the end it's still a turd
Tanton Stoneman Sep 29, 2012
I know it looks rather silly, but you would own the only RUF tuned beetle ever. The amount this will be worth in the future... I would buy it just so I could sell it in 20 years.
Paul Pickard Sep 29, 2012
Questioning this owners sanity. Spending that kind of money on this car and with the end result being this. He must be crazy.
David Parenti Sep 29, 2012
You won't see too many 225 hp beetles so I have to give it that much. But not worth all the hype.
Corey Mullis Sep 29, 2012
jetta. just to clarify haha
Corey Mullis Sep 29, 2012
oh wow 225. . . all this Ruf talk i was expecting alot more. It's still probably slower than my MK3
Description: The seller has started the bidding at $50,350 which is supposedly quite a bargain considering more than double that amount has been invested in it. It's had only one owner since its completion wh...

I'd way rather own a 1965 Beetle haha. This wasn't the one to customize.
JB Kolod Sep 29, 2012
Some cars just don't need to be made
Carlton Sofocusedon Green Sep 29, 2012
So let me get this straight. You want me to pay upwards of 50 grand for a car with 225hp??? Oh so it must be like a 1965.... Its a what??? Hahaha
Zack Hartman Sep 29, 2012
Leaving almost no one behind?
Noah Gavurin Sep 29, 2012
more like leaving only grannies and power chairs in its dust
Raymond Reynoso Sep 29, 2012
Leaving everyone else behind? Somehow I doubt this
Jeffrey Frank Sep 29, 2012
$50k for a 10 year old Beetle with 41k miles and looks like its outfitted with only bolt-ons? Eh no thanks.
Paul Lissona Oct 01, 2012
Anthony yah that'd be kinda funny to see for once.
Michael Davidson Sep 29, 2012
Haha they even put "Turbo S" on the dash.
Nicolai Stålstrøm Dalen Sep 29, 2012
Not that it doesnt fit it tough.
Nicolai Stålstrøm Dalen Sep 29, 2012
Thats the exact same wheel thats on the RUF RGT. Theyve just taken it off one and put it in a beetle.
Anthony Bartolone Sep 29, 2012
I work at a tire shop and we had one old guy come in with a base bug. He used the little vase to hold his cigar...
Donte Perino Sep 29, 2012
I really like the interior.
Chayton Kaes Garverick Sep 29, 2012
lol. they didn't even get rid of the flower vase Volkswagen puts on the dash.
Dillon Olson Oct 01, 2012
I'm with you on that, I just don't see the valuei
Adam Beiersdorfer Sep 29, 2012
Well... At least it looks sharp under the hood... Considering a $500 tune-job can create more power out of that engine... But I guess I've never owned a 1 of a kind...
Trey Reilly Sep 30, 2012
I bet this thing is fun on the twisties.
Amos Vozgirdas Sep 29, 2012
Enough ruf emblems no?
Trey Reilly Sep 29, 2012
Someone(not a prestigious Porsche tuning company) needs to do this to a new bug.
