Lamborghini Updates Aventador with Minor Revisions

Aventador gets stop/start, cylinder deactivation, revised suspension, new wheels and carbon package to take the flagship Lambo to new levels.

The big news from Lamborghini at the 2012 Paris Motor Show opening today was the release of the new Gallardo LP560-4 and the Gallardo LP570-4 Edizione Tecnica, but that's not all the Raging Bull has in store for us today. Along with the refreshed Gallardo, Lamborghini has announced a series of enhancements for the top-of-the-line Aventador. The updates aren't anything groundbreaking, but aim to further optimize what is already an otherworldly supercar.

Among the changes are two nods towards environmental friendliness in a car that is otherwise anything but. Stop/start ignition and cylinder deactivation ought to increase fuel economy and decrease carbon emissions when the Aventador isn't running at full throttle. The suspension has also been retuned, 20- or 21-inch Dione forged wheels (available in three finishes) are on offer and a new carbon-fiber package enhances the exterior and interior. The car otherwise looks the same, so while Lamborghini has yet to release any new photos, we'd hardly be able to tell the difference anyway.
