Amongst the million-pound motors up for auction in London next month, the highly sought-after 1955
Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing is the pick of the bunch. This particular model is number 20 of 29 alloy-bodied Gullwings made and carries a guide price of £2.5m-£3.2m. Finished in a desirable silver exterior with a red leather interior, the car was first delivered to a Swiss industrialist back in 1955 in a coat of ivory white. The color change is not expected to scare off potential suitors.
