Lamborghini Gallardo GZ8 Exclusive to China

Eight models will be built exclusively for the Chinese market based on purists' choice rear-drive LP550-2.

While the last Gallardo edition is expected before the next model is introduced, another special editionhas come straight out of left field, or China to be exact. Dubbed the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 GZ8 Edizione Limitata, the special edition model is based on the rear-wheel-drive Gallardo with 550 horsepower and is exclusive to the Chinese market. It follows the Gallardo Gold Edition as the second Chinese exclusive, and other specials made specifically for Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Taking its alphaneumeric designation from the the city of Guangzou and the number of units to be built, the GZ88 edition will be limited to just 8 examples and models at a 500,000-yuan premium on top of the Gallardo's Chinese-market list price of 3.5 million yuan for a nice round 4 million, equivalent to about $600k. That extra money gets you orange alloys, a carbon-fiber wing taken from the Super Trofeo Stradale edition, matte-black engine cover, gloss black roof, carbon-fiber rear view mirrors and side skirts, Superleggera-style black and orange side stripes and front bumper and black and white interior with special badges galore.
