Volkswagen Reveals eT! Research Van

Electric van concept one of 120 models Volkswagen is bringing to the Commercial Vehicles Show in Hannover, Germany.

The impending Paris Motor Show may be the focus of the automotive industry, but the European market for trucks, busses and vans is gearing up for the IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hannover, Germany. That's where VW will be presenting a concept van called the eT! research vehicle, an advance show-van that shows the way forward for Volkswagen's Commercial Vehicles division. Few details were released along with these photos, but we appear to be looking at some manner of electric van.

The shape doesn't quite resemble any of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle's current products, so it could preview a new production van from the German industrial giant. Volkswagen will be displaying a whopping 120 different vehicle variants of the Amarok, Caddy, Transporter/Multivan and Crafter models at the show, with a special emphasis on all-wheel drive and its clean BlueMotion technologies. All that metal will take up over 10,000 square-meters of space at the Hannover exposition center.
