Earlier this summer,
Ferrari put a whole raft of items up for auction to raise money to alleviate the suffering of the victims of a devastating earthquake that struck the region where Ferraris (not to mention Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Paganis and Ducatis) are made. Among the items auctioned was a 599XX Evo that sold to what was at the time an unnamed American buyer who has now been identified as Benjamin Sloss, the Vice-President of Engineering for Google, who picked up his 599XX at Monza during the Italian Grand Prix yesterday.
