Capable of lapping the Nurburgring
in less than seven minutes, the 599XX is an experimental track car, based on the 599 GTB, which Ferrari offers to its top clients. Neither road car nor race car, the 599XX acts as a rolling test bed for new technologies, including a 740-horsepower V12 engine and adaptive aerodynamics. The one-of-a-kind yellow 599XX Evo was presented to Sloss by Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo and the Scuderia's two star drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, who finished the race in third and fourth places, respectively. The 1.4 million euros which Sloss paid for the track car represents the lion's share of the $2.3 million raised for the cause.
