With 575 horsepower, this is the Range Rover specialist’s most powerful model to date.
After debuting it briefly at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (alongside a purple Evoque GTS), Overfinch has revealed its customized Range Rover Sport GTS-X. Rather than going purely with a cosmetic job, the Leeds-based Range Rover specialist has given the GTS-X a serious performance upgrade. An ECU digital remap and upgraded air induction has given the 5.0-liter supercharged engine 575 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Those are supercar output levels.
In the heavy Range Rover Sport, that still translates to rather brisk performance: 0-60 in five seconds flat and a 145 mph top speed. To accommodate the power boost, Overfinch has fitted the GTS-X with an electronic lowering module, a full aero kit with a rear spoiler to aid stability, a sports exhaust with a driver-controlled valve release, and upgraded Brembo brakes with drilled and vented 380mm discs and branded calipers. The copper paintjob is complimented by 22-inch "Titan" alloys, LED daytime running lights and a special engine cover.
The cabin is suitably plush with a full leather interior, Overfinch-designed seats that boast carbon leather and contrasting orange stitching, a 15-piece matte-carbon veneer pack, carbon tread plates, a GT steering wheel with carbon inserts and unique GTS-X sports instruments.
The overall package looks like a quality job, and that's reflected in the price: interested parties will have to part with £147,500 for Overfinch's latest super SUV creation. Given the company's reputation, however, we suspect it'll suffer from no shortage of customers.
