Aventador Warps Italian Countryside at 136 mph
Italians have some fun in the flagship Lamborghini.
By now, everyone is well familiar with the Lamborghini Aventador and its new 6.5-liter V12. Rated at nearly 700 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, the mid-engined monster can sprint from 0-60 in only 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 217 mph. From Italy comes a Grigio Estoque example of the much-lauded supercar and, driven by an Italian pro, hits a time-warping speed of 136 mph on a straight but rather narrow country road.
The Aventador features three driving modes: Stradale for the street, Sport for added performance and Corsa for maximum performance on the track. Set in Corsa mode, this is one incredible ride and the naturally-aspirated V12 scores a delightful soundtrack.
