8:00 of Thousand-hp Street Racing

Customized 911, Gallardo and GT-Rs all square off for Drag Race Tuesday.

The Nissan GT-R has a reputation for being imperious on the roadways. This week's edition of Drag Race Tuesdays features two such Japanese supercars upgraded to Veyron power levels. The bright orange AMS Alpha 12 is one of the gnarliest Nissan GT-Rs on the road, churning out a whopping 1,000 horsepower on pump fuel from its highly-modified twin-turbo V6. Joining it is Boostlogic's GT-R, boastin the same output but with a fresh white exterior finish with a set of blacked-out rims.

The thousand-horse Godzillas are joined by 9ff's modified Porsche 911 GT2, whose flat six also tops the kilo mark, and a turbocharged Lamborghini Gallardo with 1,100 from Underground Racing. So which of these high-strung, thousand-horse supercars takes the prize? See for yourself in the clip below.
