Audi R8 V10 Plus Bows in Moscow

Ingolstadt's new flagship supercar makes its first auto show debut at the Moscow Motor Show.

After six years on the market, Audi deemed a facelift necessary for its top-of-the-line R8 supercar. In the process it capped the range with the new R8 Plus, and chose Moscow of all places as the first auto show at which to show the public the fruits of its labor. Captured on camera by our friends at Auto-Reporter, who were kind enough to share some photos with us, the new Audi supercar looks menacing even on the show stand, and surely got the lion's share of attention at the Russian auto expo.

The R8 V10 Plus draws inspiration from the company's latest Le Mans racers, and features a 5.2-liter V10 dialed up to 550 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. The Plus model replaces the limited-edition R8 GT and hits the market first solely in coupe form. Further distinguishing the V10 Plus are carbon fiber splitter, mirror housings, wider side blades and air vents, as well as special 19-inch lightweight alloys and a larger rear diffuser. Carbon-ceramic brakes, specially tuned springs and shocks, adaptive magnetic damping and LED lighting for the engine compartment complete the package.
