oh, and whoever said Porsche is all about driving so that's why they keep the 911 rear engined, you are wrong. the only reason they keep the 911 rear engined is because the first 911 was rear engined. the Cayman is mid engined and has superior handeling to the 911. they have admitted that that the Cayman has the potential to be faster than the 911 but they don't want it beating their flagship mode...
Nathaniel, why the hell did he pay 20k for a 944? unless that thing has like 8 original Miles on it or is built beyond belief, he wasted a lot of money. he could have easily bought an older Cayman for that.
I am a car enthusiast with many favorites but I believe the 911 is the most practical choice for my taste. It's perfect not too flash and fits well in public with most modern cars. Most sport cars are not like that.
Porsche is for the purists. That's why everyone went into chaos when the 991 had electric steering. It's about passion. I'm not an older guy, not even 18 but I love Porsche and so do many of my friends, one of which spent 20,000 on a 944.
Tradition is tradition. Some people like it that way, and it really is hard to make a new car look new by sharing design heritage started by pioneers long ago. That's why I respect Porsche, they stick to their guns and know what they're doing.
Coming from Connor, I feel the way u do about Porsches about vettes, vipers and very sadly, just recently Astons.... But as long as Porsche isn't loosing buyers, they must b doing something right!

Well, the Ferrari and the Lamborghini don't offer a manual. Almost every car reviewer praises the 911. There's a reason every car manufacturer tries to make a 911 fighter. Not a Lambo/ Ferrari fighter.
what really changed my view was when I got my (don't laugh) 95 civic ex cuz even tho its a dog it can corner so fast and it just is so much fun to drive cuz its very light and nimble the only thing I don't like is that its a fwd so hopefully in a year or so I can get a frs which from what everyone is saying is perfect for me which isn't that all we ask for that perfect car as long as it does what ...

But, like I said, it really all depends on preference. There are some vette fanboys, who would want a smart car, rebadged as a vette over most cars.
And about the dream brand/car. Yes, I loved ferraris as a kid, and still do, but I also had a pic of a Porsche, which I know own. Maybe that's why I am somewhat biased. I own a 08 997 carrera s cab, which I love. I hope to trade in for a 991,
@connor I get what your saying. Alot if younger kids want the flashiest Ferrari or most expensive car, buy when your older, and if you are an enthusiast, than the driving experience is more important.
u no what I just had an amazing revelation its such an incredible coincidence I was just driving and saw my favorite car as a kid the original viper gts blue/white stripes and I have to admit u r right about that cuz after I saw it I found myself gigiling like a school girl with excitement
no and that's becuase as I get older my tastes and idea of what's important in a car evolve when u was a kid I wanted flash but now that I'm older the only thing that matters to me is the driving

If you want a hardcore track car, get a viper or zo6. If you want a car that feels fun and enjoyable to drive, get a 911.
...their target market are not the ones interested in Laing a fashion statement or showing off, it's for enthustiasts. If you want a gorgeous car for that price, get a v8 vantage. If you want a car that had fast lap times, get a GTR...
Oh, and most Porsche drivers (at least 911 drivers) are not interested in the "flashyness" as they are the driving. That's what Porsche does do well. They have fans, who can tell the difference and appreciate their cars. T

I put like this porsches main focus isn't appearence its driving that's y they still run the rear engine but u might be right they may need to change but not just porsche everyone cuz I see and hear more and more how unimportant that is to people and how they would rather have a flashy evo which saddens me cuz some day we lose our 911 viper zonda vette gtr lambo etc
and as long as there r sick people there will always be a doctor looking for a new porsche haha

I think wat porsche has done is genius they manage to keep selling cars without wasting a tine of time designing just refresh not rebuild and they focus on the important part the driving cuz isnt that what these kinds of cars r suppose to be good at?
...the basic styling elements. If you take the first 911, and compare it to the latest gen, and say its "extremely similar" you have eye problems, they share design cues and basic elements, but are not the same, at all
@connor as the saying goes, "do not mess with perfection"! That's what Porsche goes by. The designers are not lazy, I bet it is as hard, or harder to design a car that looks new and sleek (and better than most other cars IMO), while still retaining..
u no a porsche is a porsche cuz of how it looks just like u no an aston or a vette or Wtv and companies no that that is wat most of them strive for, a rolling logo for ur company and if u keep changing it to much then those less into cars may not recognize it as ur product
what about the corvette? since the c4 they have all been basicly the same or the viper? and aston is so "lazy" they use the same design cues on 5 of there current models which is almost worse cuz then u have 5 different cars that all look similar the point is a design is almost like a trade mark
Of there models unlike Ferrari and Lambo. I've seen very few Ferraris and yet I wasn't all that excited about them. Every Porsche I see, I fall in love with it.
Aston martins models all look very similar, yet everyone says they are beautiful. The same people complain about Porsche. Porsche has stayed so pure with its 911 line unlike so many other car companies. Manuel's are offered throughout most....
@Connor even with the same basic style porsche had remained fairly dominant at the race track I agree id like to see something different but as the saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it

And for the designers being lazy, anyone could draw up a cool car with lots of edges (lambo), but to take an old car, and make it sleek and modern, while still retaining the basic shape, is harder.
I guess it depends on if you know what your seeing. Just like if you know about Porsches, then you can tell the difference between generations.
@connor ya, I guess only if you know what your looking at, is it cool. Some people can't tell a 911 from a boxster, so they don't find them interesting. If I see any non-Carrera 997s or any 991s, then I am interested, or any pre-996s.

I saw one a couple of weeks ago and it was like if the rest of the cars just doesn't exist anymore, and it was parked near to an aventador, mp4-12c, superleggera, e-type,. But i didn't care abaut the rest of the cars, i was just looking to that beast
This Enzo looks really nice in this shade of gray, I'm surprised, I always thought the only color that looks good on a Ferrari was Rosso Corsa
@Brandon, not even the J would be able to compete with the Hypercars that are coming in the next few years. The F70 and McLaren F1 successor will both way about the same as a J, with circa 1000bhp (J has 700bhp) and do 225mph+. Not to mention the advanced tech and adaptable aerodynamics that will ensure insane cornering speeds too. Lambo need to achieve similar numbers if they wanna compete.

Forget Bugatti, let them go back to their origins of Brobdingnagian saloons and sumptuous coupes! Lamborghini should fabricate their own hyper-car to compete with the F70, 918, C-X75, and the forthcoming McLaren F1 successor.
These cars are in my opinion the pinnacle of production super cars. They continuously find ways to trump each other and inspire every one else in terms of performance and design. The real deal. Not the wannabes.
all astons are beautiful but im so disapointed with the new Vanquish. I was hoping for something that looked unique (with maybe a hint of the orginal Vanquish). This just looks like the new Aston Virage with a redesigned front spoiler.
Can't wait until they up and beat Bugatti. OMG what would happen if McLaren and Bugatti had a car collab? World might explode...

Mclaren f1 gtr and bugatti veryron are best cars ever made... I like them
697 MPH! 240 from the F1 GTR. 252 from the Veyron. And 205 from the MP4-12C!
