Description: The combination of precise steering and gear changes, amongst many other things, seems to make up for its lack of straight-line performance. Powered by a 2.0-liter box four, the GT-86 only has 200 hor...Add Comments25
Justin Di NardoAug 18, 2012 A used Cayman, or even an Sti version would be in late model pre-owned E-92 M3 territory in terms of cost. As an enthusiast, it would be hard to choose a scion over a legend.
Terrance ParkerAug 17, 2012 I've been shopping for a used Cayman, he's so right they are a bargain! It's a mid enginened turbo charged machine that is nice both inside and out.
Matthew MurtaghAug 17, 2012 The fr-s and br-z is perfect. It's more like a training car. Low horsepower, great handling and affordable. Plus with all the parts out there, it will easy to get 300+hp. I rather keep my fr-s stock and just get new tires.
Domi BsaibesAug 17, 2012 Price reasonnable, like the wrx and the sti...
Domi BsaibesAug 17, 2012 @ brian, true, it won't have AWD due to saving some weight but they said it's gonna have 250 hp, but u're talking about making an STI version so expect upgraded suspensions brakes throttle everything. BUT, it will succeed IF they manage to keep its
Jack HowardAug 17, 2012 The only reason youd buy a camry is because you dont have enough money for a Bentley. What a stupid statement.
Cody JacquesAug 16, 2012 They should have had a BMW Z4M in that mix. would have been interesting...
Still id take a honda s2000 over this pick. ha then take the cash id save and tune it up!
s2k is like the toyota with the right amount of power.
Zach SullivanAug 16, 2012 @Jackson in the 90s and early 2000s I would have agreed but now the caymen and boxster r really becoming something special imo
Dillon DixonAug 16, 2012 Really Jackson? Is there a real problem with that? I certainly don't think so!
Jackson BondAug 16, 2012 The only reason to buy a cayman ( or a boxter for that matter ) is because you can't afford the big daddy 911
Abraham MendozaAug 16, 2012 I hear it might have a Cbn fibre roof and about 300 hp. I really want to see that bad boy.
Aaron CrispAug 16, 2012 Sti version may not be AWD (Why would it when there's the WRX) but I'm sure it'll have a turbo :D
Zaire WilkinsAug 16, 2012 this car has great chassis but that body just dosent work for me
Aaron CartwrightAug 16, 2012 Brian, your right, this will never be awd, but there is an sti version on the way. The demand for an sti version is to high to be ignored. Subaru even said they plan on bringing the sti brz to market next year. Check your facts!
Carlton Sofocusedon GreenAug 16, 2012 Was coming home from work the other day on my motorcycle and came up on a FRS. It def handles thru the corners. Hes right abt 10/10ths. It doesnt have alot of grunt out corners it seems. It looks great tho
Brian JohnstonAug 16, 2012 Well domi, there's no such thing. They already said they can't put awd in them. Also why would a company make a car that would topple their flagship the wrx Sti. That would be poor business planning. It will never happen.
Zeus MochaAug 16, 2012 True but the sti may be at at least 9k more than the base and that could be before some optional goodies that the sti's could get. This is in reference to the wrx sti's being around 10k over base. I may be wrong. Hopefully I am, I want one.
Brady FeredayAug 16, 2012 I thought they would race on a track
Dillon DixonAug 16, 2012 That Toyota is looking like one awesome car, but that Cayman is absolutely gorgeous! And that sound was a very nice touch. And of course, the 370z is just too big to compete. Not even in the competition.
Domi BsaibesAug 16, 2012 Well bruce, the brz sti will do the job. It's gonna be a killer!
Bruce-Almighty TumblinAug 16, 2012 Just wish they give at least 50 more hp on the next BRZ/GT-86
Bruce-Almighty TumblinAug 16, 2012 So the 370Z doesn't handle as well as we thought & the TOYOBARU is the "poor man's" Cayman!
omarSVAug 16, 2012 I ladore the GT86 and I was a little worried when Chris decided to put it up against these two. After watching that video, I love it even more lol. I want one (white with black rims plz) :)
Theviper007Aug 19, 2012 @u gate nissn u hate the gt r :O shame on u
Zaire WilkinsAug 17, 2012 lol and the Z have a better interior
Zaire WilkinsAug 17, 2012 haha whats funny is when the corvette tried to play ketchup with the GT-R
Colby ChurchAug 17, 2012 Lol @Adam xD I had a 370z try to race my Corvette yesterday, and on the interstate at that! I was laughing when he got right up on me, I then proceeded to embarrass him. He was just a little black dot 10 seconds later. Ha. They have no top end power.
Jack HowardAug 17, 2012 Bill your comment is very flawed...
Jackson BondAug 16, 2012 For 62k you can buy a used 911, no point in buying a cayman then.
Abraham MendozaAug 16, 2012 I would consider a Cayman s IF I had the money or maybe a Carrera, but in this comparison I'd have to go with either this or the GT86. Or the BRZ since its a Subie.
Zaire WilkinsAug 16, 2012 id take this car out of the three cause its uniqe and i like the purr of the VQ one of the best V6's in the world
Henz HerreroAug 16, 2012 Ya but not everyone can afford a porsche.. U guys shud be more humble.. Some ppl can only afford an frs for a fun car..
Peter Mark GacekAug 16, 2012 Ha wow comparing a Z to a Cayman. Similar ideas of a sports car, completely different execution. Cayman blows it out of the water. Heck my 12 year old S2000 FEELS faster than the Z. Chris Harris, you need to compare the S2000 and the GT86.
Bruce-Almighty TumblinAug 16, 2012 I agree with Chris, when you think of a sports car the first thing that comes to mind is "a fast car"; then you see if it handles well, shifts good, comfortable to drive, & light the Cayman S has it all!
Pablo HerasmeAug 16, 2012 Looks low in person; great looking car.
Chris GainesAug 16, 2012 you guys should try paying attention, Harris called a USED cayman the bargain of the century. I would definitely pay for the extra maintenance on the Porsche than deal with the half-baked gt86. a true sports car should wow you in all aspects
Bruce-Almighty TumblinAug 16, 2012 HOLD IT!!! Yaul do know that was a USED CAYMAN S that a guy let him use right, it wasn't new!
Matt PiccoloAug 16, 2012 I'd take the z and pocket the other 30k instead of buying the Porsche, and the z looks better imo
Dillon DixonAug 16, 2012 Yes, but the pride if owning a Porsche is worth the price tag
Henz HerreroAug 16, 2012 Have you guys seen the sticker on the cayman.. I dnt think its a good buy plus the maintenance wud be expensive..
Bruce-Almighty TumblinAug 16, 2012 Hell yea, ill take the Cayman S all day; used or new!
Dillon DixonAug 16, 2012 How you can take this over the Cayman is beyond me. Even over the GT86.
Brady FeredayAug 16, 2012 I'd take the the Z I've seen a few in a matte blue finish and they are amazing in that color
Bruce-Almighty TumblinAug 16, 2012 According to the video the Z doesn't well compared yo the other two
Matt PiccoloAug 16, 2012 I would take the z too! Looks great but red wouldnt b my first color choice
