2013 Range Rover Beginning to Break Cover

Only a few weeks before Paris are we able to see leaked images of the redesigned SUV without camo.

Land Rover is currently putting the finishing touches on the redesigned 2013 Range Rover, which will be making its official debut next month at Paris. Our intrepid spy photographers have caught Range Rover test mules on the road in recent months, but today it appears a couple of leaked images of the production-ready SUV have gone online. It's immediately clear that the redesigned model is a Range Rover, as the automaker knew not to mess too much with its classic design.

As expected, it features a new headlight design, intakes, a more upright grille, and a rounder hood. Power is expected to come from a more fuel efficient version of the outgoing model's 4.4-liter turbo diesel V8 and a 5.0-liter supercharged V8. Expect to also see available a supercharged V6 with around 375 horsepower. Fuel efficiency will be improved due to the new model's aluminum platform and other lightweight materials. In addition to the leaked images, a CarBuzz reader and amateur spy photographer managed to snap a few shots of a prototype with very little camouflage in the UK last Saturday.
