2013 BMW M3 Lime Rock Park Limited Edition Revealed

The M3 Coupe has received another special edition available in a limited run of only 200 units.

BMW is marking their special relationship with the Skip Barber-run racetrack of Lime Rock, located in Connecticut, with a limited edition version of their M3 Coupe. The 2013 M3 Lime Rock Park Edition comes complete with the Competition Package along with plenty of carbon fiber for a truly special project available in only 200 units. Priced at $70,995, the special edition utilizes a lightweight Inconel-titanium exhaust and aerodynamic pieces for an impressive coupe.

An aerodynamic body kit comprises of a roof panel and front and rear spoilers all made out of carbon fiber. An Alcantara flat-bottom steering wheel, Nappa leather interior, unique number plaque and badging further emphasizes that this M3 is different from the rest. Regarding the track and the special edition Bimmer, Skip Barber commented that "There are tricky cambers, extreme elevation changes, very high speeds... all Lime Rock signatures since it opened 55 years ago. And the BMW M3 Coupe Lime Rock Park Edition, when equipped with the six-speed manual, is geared perfectly - and I mean perfectly - for the track... I wouldn't change a thing."

Finished in Fire Orange, the M3 Lime Rock Park edition contains the stock M3's 4.0-liter V8, rated at 414 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to the German brand's standard six-speed manual gearbox. Deliveries of the BMW M3 Lime Rock Park limited edition are due to start in a little under two months' time, in September.
