Brumos Racing gets Special Edition Porsche 911 GT3 Cup

The last five 911 GT3 Cup cars in the US pay hommage to America's pre-eminent Porsche dealer and racing team.

To celebrate its 50-year history and to celebrate taking the 2011 Rolex Grand-Am GT championship, Brumos Racing has teamed up with Porsche to offer five special edition 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race cars. These will be the final five North American-spec 911 GT3 Cup cars for 2012, and will feature the 450hp 4.0-liter Grand-Am spec flax-six racing engine, the iconic twin-striped Brumos livery, brake and steering sensors, and a 'blipper' system for easier down-shifting.

Other Brumos-installed special features include a Motec data acquisition system, an exclusive ‘911 GT3 Cup 4.0' ID badge on the rear deck, a carbon dead pedal, carbon dash panel, and digishield cover for the front bumper and hood. The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 4.0 Brumos Commemorative Edition (to give it its full name) will retail for $265,259 (plus tax) and will be eligible for specific domestic racing series. For all that dow, the five buyers will also be treated to a special dinner and handover ceremony at Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville, Florida.
