I really like the first gen of the 90's. Those cars had style and there was no problem to tell if that's ls400.

Mercedes does it best. They all share similarities, but you would never mistake one for the other.
This does look similar to the other redesigned lexuses, but there is nothing wrong with that, because they are from the same brand. That being said, I would definitely take any of the German/ British flagship sedans over this.
I can look at a Lexus in 1 second and tell which class the car falls in to, e.g. Is, es, gs, Ls. I think Audi's cars are all more similar than Lexus. Same with BMW. At least the 3, 5, and 7. I like all these brands tho.
All of the sedans look too much alike in my opinion, the ES, GS, and LS share too many of the same design characteristics... Seems lazy

I'm ok with the power, I'm sure it feels like a lot more hp than it is. And yes my car doesn't have 200 hp even. People are just ridiculous.
@john maybe that's why I don't think it needs more power, I just don't think it's deserving of more or necessary for this car to have more, and there is a line where more becomes to much. I've been in some hi hp cars that had to much..
For me if I had the choice between the exact same car with less hp, and the one with more hp, I'd go with the more powerful one but obviously you don't want more hp, so it would not matter to you anyways. Also I wouldn't want this car even more power
@aaron of course it won't go to the track, no flagship sedan in a comparable trim level to the LS460 would go to the track lol (expect maybe the panamera s). Power is not only important on the track.
@john no I'm not interested in more power in a soft luxo box that will never make it to the track. Oh and 400hp is a lot of power. I'd rather have a light well balanced low power sports car than a high power boat. Thats just me though..

I completely agree with everyone wanting more power, you can't "sugarcoat" this, if you're going to make a sport designated car , i.e AMG, or M, and it's CLEARLY intended to compete or to try and steal some of the sales, I think it should have

Agreed John. BMW even said they went to 445hp because the s class went to 429hp. It's competition. It's what consumers want to know even if it isn't a "racing" car. The LS should have at least gone to 400+ hp

I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't buy the LS to go racing around it, it's one of the best luxury sedans out there, ya BMW and merc have faster luxury sedans, but again, I wouldn't buy an S class or 7 series to go racing around in either lol
Your really going to cry about no power, remember a few years ago we were lucky to see a car crack 200hp let alone 400hp, and with most peoples driving abilities, more isn't better.
Hmm, 386 seems a little low. Like Stephen said, it's competitors have a lot more power, even a Jag XJ SC, has 470. I know that the Lexus has a pre advantage, but if your spending that kind of money, you might as well put in a little extra to get more
With the S class going to 429hp and the 750 going to 445hp.....The LS going from 380 to 386 is weak sauce. My dad has a 2011 LS 460 L and it's a great car; i just wish new speed came with the new styling

Hybrid just means that it's a mix of two different powertrains, usually a gasoline engine and an electric motor.
I don't think they want to make it look purely sporty, more or less just add some sporty-styling to it. LS will always be a big luxury sedan
Believe it or not, VW has been doing that on their newest models. Tiguan, Eos, CC. Check it out.
@bull why on earth would they want to try that? Of course they would not get away with putting the Lexus "L" on an S class or A8!
Really like how they incorporated a swooping "L" into the tail lights. Pure Lexus. Let's see Audi, BMW or Benz get away with that!

This doesn't look as elegant as the last one. Doesn't look bad at all, just sportier.
I don't like the front at all. It's supposed to be a luxury car that is supposed to compete with a 7 series and S class. I looks too much like a sports car. It would be great styling on a different model, but not their top of the line luxury.
6 HID headlights? i thought they would use full LED headlights like the acura RLX or Kia quorris
Love the clean look of the rear. Chrome exhaust ports inlaid into rear bumper valance look great.
