Description: Long derided as bland in the styling department, Lexus has been undergoing something of a design revolution, and this represents its latest result. After much anticipation, Toyota's luxury divisi...Add Comments5
Stephen Reed Warren IIJul 31, 2012 Agree. Even tho ppl sometimes confuse the E with the S (which is ludicrous)
Shaun ConroyJul 31, 2012 Mercedes does it best. They all share similarities, but you would never mistake one for the other.
John SerelyJul 31, 2012 This does look similar to the other redesigned lexuses, but there is nothing wrong with that, because they are from the same brand. That being said, I would definitely take any of the German/ British flagship sedans over this.
Stephen Reed Warren IIJul 31, 2012 I can look at a Lexus in 1 second and tell which class the car falls in to, e.g. Is, es, gs, Ls. I think Audi's cars are all more similar than Lexus. Same with BMW. At least the 3, 5, and 7. I like all these brands tho.
Corey MullisJul 31, 2012 Toyota/Lexus design language is so weird these days
Timathy DormanJul 31, 2012 All of the sedans look too much alike in my opinion, the ES, GS, and LS share too many of the same design characteristics... Seems lazy
Tim PreisingerJul 31, 2012 I think this looks pretty good
Description: Characterized by a more aggressive appearance and a sportier interior, the F Sport model is enhanced by a fresh aero kit, 19-inch alloys, more aggressively bolstered bucket seats, paddle shifters and ...Add Comments19
John SerelyAug 01, 2012 @aaron alright I know what you mean
Paul LissonaAug 01, 2012 I'm ok with the power, I'm sure it feels like a lot more hp than it is. And yes my car doesn't have 200 hp even. People are just ridiculous.
Aaron CartwrightAug 01, 2012 So ya, I get what your saying and agree.
Aaron CartwrightAug 01, 2012 @john maybe that's why I don't think it needs more power, I just don't think it's deserving of more or necessary for this car to have more, and there is a line where more becomes to much. I've been in some hi hp cars that had to much..
John SerelyJul 31, 2012 For me if I had the choice between the exact same car with less hp, and the one with more hp, I'd go with the more powerful one but obviously you don't want more hp, so it would not matter to you anyways. Also I wouldn't want this car even more power
John SerelyJul 31, 2012 @aaron of course it won't go to the track, no flagship sedan in a comparable trim level to the LS460 would go to the track lol (expect maybe the panamera s). Power is not only important on the track.
Aaron CartwrightJul 31, 2012 @john no I'm not interested in more power in a soft luxo box that will never make it to the track. Oh and 400hp is a lot of power. I'd rather have a light well balanced low power sports car than a high power boat. Thats just me though..
Brian BallJul 31, 2012 comparable power. This reminds me of the Infinity "IPL" line. Stop playing around and put a REAL power plant in there!!
Brian BallJul 31, 2012 I completely agree with everyone wanting more power, you can't "sugarcoat" this, if you're going to make a sport designated car , i.e AMG, or M, and it's CLEARLY intended to compete or to try and steal some of the sales, I think it should have
Scott GraceyJul 31, 2012 I'm just sayin, I want a fast car I'll buy a Porsche or something, I want luxury id get an LS... I get what you're sayin, different priority I suppose lol
Stephen Reed Warren IIJul 31, 2012 Agreed John. BMW even said they went to 445hp because the s class went to 429hp. It's competition. It's what consumers want to know even if it isn't a "racing" car. The LS should have at least gone to 400+ hp
John SerelyJul 31, 2012 @scott/Aaron: Im just saying that if I'm spending 70k+, I want my luxury car to have a lot of power. Of course I wouldn't race it, scott lol, but im not going to ignore power. I would rather have a faster car than a slower car, but obviously you dont
Scott GraceyJul 31, 2012 Want a faster Lexus buy an isf
Scott GraceyJul 31, 2012 I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't buy the LS to go racing around it, it's one of the best luxury sedans out there, ya BMW and merc have faster luxury sedans, but again, I wouldn't buy an S class or 7 series to go racing around in either lol
Zaire WilkinsJul 31, 2012 i know 1 car that isnt as big as this and comes with 420hp the M56
Zaire WilkinsJul 31, 2012 all those cars listed in other comments are over priced so is this
Aaron CartwrightJul 31, 2012 Your really going to cry about no power, remember a few years ago we were lucky to see a car crack 200hp let alone 400hp, and with most peoples driving abilities, more isn't better.
John SerelyJul 31, 2012 Hmm, 386 seems a little low. Like Stephen said, it's competitors have a lot more power, even a Jag XJ SC, has 470. I know that the Lexus has a pre advantage, but if your spending that kind of money, you might as well put in a little extra to get more
Stephen Reed Warren IIJul 31, 2012 With the S class going to 429hp and the 750 going to 445hp.....The LS going from 380 to 386 is weak sauce. My dad has a 2011 LS 460 L and it's a great car; i just wish new speed came with the new styling
Description: The LS 600hL, meanwhile, couples a 389hp 5.0-liter V8 to a 221hp electric motor, driving through a continuously-variable transmission to all four wheels. The updated LS was unveiled in concert with th...Add Comments6
Jack HowardAug 12, 2012 Or just a mix between two different things.
Bob JonesJul 31, 2012 Hybrid just means that it's a mix of two different powertrains, usually a gasoline engine and an electric motor.
Jack HowardJul 31, 2012 I dont think he knows what "hybrid" means
Bijan JahanpanahJul 31, 2012 Why would you say that on a car app?
Paul LissonaAug 01, 2012 Jack yah in the coupe models.
Nick SmithJul 31, 2012 I don't think they want to make it look purely sporty, more or less just add some sporty-styling to it. LS will always be a big luxury sedan
Timothy HookerJul 31, 2012 this looks so heavy. don't see anything sporty in this picture.
Jack HowardJul 31, 2012 The 2001-2003 Civic had Cs in the tail lights
Shaun ConroyJul 31, 2012 Believe it or not, VW has been doing that on their newest models. Tiguan, Eos, CC. Check it out.
John SerelyJul 31, 2012 @bull why on earth would they want to try that? Of course they would not get away with putting the Lexus "L" on an S class or A8!
Bull DogoneJul 31, 2012 Really like how they incorporated a swooping "L" into the tail lights. Pure Lexus. Let's see Audi, BMW or Benz get away with that!
Janak SolankiAug 01, 2012 James I think u are spot on.
James XalisAug 01, 2012 I don't like the front at all. It's supposed to be a luxury car that is supposed to compete with a 7 series and S class. I looks too much like a sports car. It would be great styling on a different model, but not their top of the line luxury.
Zaire WilkinsJul 31, 2012 6 HID headlights? i thought they would use full LED headlights like the acura RLX or Kia quorris
Bull DogoneJul 31, 2012 Mmm. F Sport Grill. Mine looks same on my IS F Sport.
Nice call Alex, I like it!
@ David: It can be found on the inside of the car, or on the outside if you flip it inside-out.
Where's the interior?
Yes, but that was just a rendering
Didn't they already do an article on this a few days ago?
