You sound so stupid. You think adding 250hp will not improve the time? As stated in the video, they broke the previous lap record WITHOUT added power. Wtf you think is gonna happen when you add nearly 300hp to the mix.
He broke the previous track record for stock camaro, by SECONDS. That means if you can improve on the time with skill alone, to the degree of SECONDS (plural mind you), that he can also improve his time with upgrades. Duh.
And if you think you can make up two seconds by just adding or subtracting hp you have a lot to learn my friend

There's nothing ridiculous about noting that a heavily modified 43 year old pro-touring champ car, with 250 additional HP, could only beat a stock ZL1 by 2 seconds.
You don't know which vehicle is more balanced? Do research: height; wheelbase; length; width; weight ratio; etc. We know which one is more balanced, because no one copies the 43 year old design. It's outdated and inferior.

What I'm saying is that the red devil, was 2 seconds faster, with a 250hp advantage. Pathetic. I GUARANTEE at equal HP, the Red Devil is decimated, due to its INFERIOR CONSTANTS, that CANNOT be changed.
Constants are what make certain cars superior, as opposed to other cars. Torque, HP, suspension components= all variable. The geometry and physics engineering design of the car is a constant (for the most part). Seriously my god

@ben I had a car that put down 130hp at the crank that killed cars with 500hp , mind you it was a verry tight mountian road but I'd finish a good 30-40 seconds ahead. Hp is worthless if you can't get it down and your car isn't set up
You guys do realize HP is a simple, modifiable, variable...right? Obviously, 750HP > 400HP, and translates to faster times. But when HP is equal, that is when you determine which car is innately better. I promise you, 750HP each, red devil = loser

@ben I'm sorry but in the video the ZL1 was slower than the red devil, and the ZL1 had a faster lap time than the 1LE which this article is about. So common sense would say this 30grand car doesn't come close to the Zl1 let alone the red devil

Not so fast Patrick, that's Chevrolet doing their own testing; wait till an unbiased group test both cars head to head then we will see
not comfortable in and with our current skill level of driving think again. But the more comfortable you are in a car the faster you can probably drive it so my advice would be to drive them both with an open mind and see for yourself.
For what they are, they are both good cars, it really comes down to what you like and what you fit into comfortably, why fight over mustang and camero, and besides if you think for a second that your going to produce the same numbers in a car your
@Justin: I see Camaro and see nothing but overweight, overly obnoxious, and cheap GM quality. The fact that it looks like a toy is something I just like to poke fun at. You can say "gimme", but they're not that expensive. Just go buy one.

@anthony the laguna boss still has a solid axle and would suffer the same fate. Laguna is an extremely smooth track
@aaron. I understand, but if it is a Laguna seca boss, then it should have been more than fine. the boss ls is a track oriented car, but I guess if this were a stock boss then it would have trouble in those few corners.
@Anthony it's a bad comparison, this track is very bumpy and lots of mid corner bumps wich affect the mustang much more than the camero. I like the stang more but the suspension on the mustang isn't as good. Bumps=bad news for stang
the boss had a bad driver. the boss was compared to the zl1 and was around 5 seconds close in track time. so this 4 second lead would mean this camaro is just as good as its big brother. this story is messed up.
The only thing better about that mustang is the name. I must admit that Boss is pretty cool. I'm not sure about having it plastered down the side of the car though...

Im guessing the mid corner bumps might be the stangs downfall on this track and why the camero beat it do badly.. Fords got to lose that solid rear end

Porsche is definatly not untouchable I agree. I was in a 914 that blew the doors off a Carrara gt. of course the 914 had an ls7 puting 875 down at the rear wheels, so ya if that camero was tuned a bit I believe it
Don't get me wrong guys I'm not busting on the Porsche I was just blown away with how fast they were. It was sick to cruise with them once they slowed down
