Jay Leno Hoons the Fiat 500 Abarth
The Denim Chin takes a spin in Fiat's 160hp pocket rocket.
This may look like an ordinary Fiat 500, but with a 1.4-liter MultiAir turbo four packing 160 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque, underneath the sheet metal it is anything but. In other words, just the type of ride an enthusiast like Jay Leno would enjoy. And enjoy he did in the video clip below. The Abarth pocket rocket, as the famed talkshow host and car collector discovered, is enhanced by a unique body kit, bigger brakes, 17" alloys and tauter suspension, combined with a sportier interior boasting high-bolstered seats and a thicker, flat-bottomed steering wheel.
In the latest installment of his popular denim-clad Garage video series, Leno takes the scrappy little Italian dynamo out for a spin, and does exactly the right thing in demonstrating a sweet handbrake turn with some added wheel spin thrown in for good measure. Check it out.
