Description: General Motors has reportedly given the go-ahead for a large flagship Cadillac sedan as it continues to prepare its luxury brand for an all-out attack on every possible segment its main rivals compete...Add Comments23
Paul GoodwinDec 01, 2012 Another example of modern design that only looks new, and has no classic beauty. Ugly big mouth-like too many others these days. The thing will look dated in a few years. Too many car designs these days where all you can say is that it looks modern. Who will want it in even 5 years?
Paul GoodwinDec 01, 2012 It has potential. But it definitely needs work to "cool" it
Eric DareJul 27, 2012 If this is their flagship model, they should make the V16 engine an option
Povilas MikuleviciusJul 27, 2012 At least GM is doing something and Ford (Lincoln) is doing shit.
Samuel TheGentleman Harris IIJul 27, 2012 I will pass GM is basically building a fleet wood. Caddy needs to make the XTS it's flagship. Lexus, Benz, and BMW has it locked up. Well it may compete against the Hyundai Equus
Robert YoungJul 27, 2012 I don't think you spell Cadillac w/two D's buddy.
Miguel JimenezJul 27, 2012 @Wyatt you know nothing about Caddilac, if you think they shouldn't be making cars like this.
Tim PreisingerJul 26, 2012 Wyatt, you speak as if saying Ferrari being "the best car company ever" was a fact rather the opinion. Go back to watching top gear.
P.S. Anytime someone says "rubbish", I can't help but laugh.
Wyatt GordonJul 26, 2012 @brad, exactly. unless youre a brand thats already exclusive and full of pedigree, like the best car company ever (Ferrari), then you simply cant do this sort of rubbish
Brad WoodJul 26, 2012 Schedule this for the CarBuzz article of "ultimate automotive fails" for 2021, an continuation of the current series they are running. How quickly a company forgets that low margin, low production cars will put you into bankruptcy. History repeats...
Miguel JimenezJul 26, 2012 Here comes David and John to ruin everyone happiness. Fanboys SMH
Hektor YbergJul 26, 2012 @David actually there are selling more cadillacs then before.
Joshua AdamsJul 26, 2012 With the next S Class coming soon, there will be no competition. Even when it's the benchmark it's hard to beat, or even impossible to overcome. I think it's the only one in the segment worth cross shopping against a Bentley or smaller Rolls Royce.
David Pires-IhsaanJul 26, 2012 Lincoln and buick are getting decimated.. I agree with colby.
David JusticeJul 26, 2012 'destroying the competition', 'on top right now'? maybe in the American luxury category, then yes. I don't see it trumping much anywhere else.
John SerelyJul 26, 2012 @colby destroying the competition? Um...no, not at all
David Pires-IhsaanJul 26, 2012 Now if they makw the Ciel, Cien, and Sixteen... It will be one of my favorite companies.... Too bad that might never happen.
Dylan BruderJul 26, 2012 That said I'm stoked I've been waiting for them to get the green on this Cadillac can now make something like the sixteen
Dylan BruderJul 26, 2012 No the xts pretty much fills the gap where the dts and sts left off its just a large comfortable sedan not really directly aimed at competing with anything
Colby ChurchJul 26, 2012 Woohoo! Go Cadillac! Haha. No, but seriously, Cadillac has really stepped their game up the past few years and I think that they are on top right now and they are destroying the competition at everything they used to do best. Thumbs up GM.
Jordan SmithJul 26, 2012 I thought the XTS was supposed to compete with those sedans?
Ty PiperJul 29, 2012 I think oriental people should drive oxen honestly
Miguel JimenezJul 26, 2012 The new NSX is far from "ORIGINAL" it's just another hybrid tird.
Bijan JahanpanahJul 26, 2012 The NSX is not "origanal" in any way or at least the new one isn't
John FrancisJul 26, 2012 Wow, it looks pretty "in your face" without looking desperate for attention, if that makes sense. Cadillac has a winner right here. And this is coming from an Infiniti/Mercedes guy.
Tim PreisingerJul 26, 2012 I think it looks awesome. I'm really looking forward to the xts too.
Logan LeMonnierJul 26, 2012 @connor agreed haha. I really don't see the ugliness. I've always wondered why they don't make a car that literally looks just like this. With the proper engine I would buy this exact car over any BMW or Mercedes. The styling is almost Incredible
David JusticeJul 26, 2012 I'd take the NSX over this.
Matt PiccoloJul 26, 2012 @ Miguel... Uh no... This thing is Absoloutely hideous.... I wouldn't care what badge was on it... And Patrick, just cuz it's origional, doesn't mean it looks good... And The nsx is pretty darn origional Patrick!
Andrew Della ForestaJul 26, 2012 Looks like the spyder model of the cadilac sixteen
Matt PiccoloJul 26, 2012 Oh god! I think this may be one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen... Ew! O.O
Henz HerreroJul 26, 2012 It doesnt look too bad but i dnt think this shud be a face for a flagship sedan..
Robert AarstadJul 26, 2012 Its truly a car that's in your face. I liked it at first, then I hated ut and now I love it again! Absolutely has to be marketed right and flawless design to sell.
John SerelyJul 26, 2012 I love the Ciel concept. It looks great in person
Connor Garrett KoerbitzJul 26, 2012 I love it! Saw it at the auto show, it is breath taking honestly

Adam WielandJul 26, 2012 I would say Audi is the second biggest competition they have and they aren't even listed
Description: Other models in the pipeline include ATS coupe and convertible variants in 2014, a large crossover using an upgraded version of the Lambda platform in 2015, a new Escalade SUV in the latter half of 20...Add Comments2
John SerelyJul 26, 2012 That's already released and in dealerships/ on the road
Nick PietropaoloJul 26, 2012 I think this looks very sporty but sophisticated and I really can't understand how ppl think this is ugly.but I will say that hood is way to huge to b putting in a v6 .iy would look empty as hell in there
Logan LeMonnierJul 26, 2012 It will never look like this. If it did I would stop hating GM. They don't understand that people want a car that looks like this.
Jordan SmithJul 26, 2012 I think this is meant more to compete with the CL65 or even the Phantom Coupe.
Dillon MageeJul 26, 2012 I think it looks really good. I think it would be cool if they made a V version to compete with the S65.
Tara FitriaJul 26, 2012 I can see huge demand for this in the middle east
Jordan JacksonJul 26, 2012 I feel like this is use the retro styling language of the prowler, in a Cadillac body, not sure if I like it
Stephen WicoffJul 26, 2012 Love the front. Looks way different from anything else on the road. And rich people would buy this; they like having a presence on the road.
Greg LewisJul 26, 2012 If it was affordable, it would sell like wildfire. Think about when Chrysler did their retro start up, prowler/cruiser/ram/viper changes... People like different.
Jordan SmithJul 26, 2012 I like it. It's like a huge luxury grand tourer.
Cody FullertonJul 26, 2012 While I'm not sure about the headlights, I really like the overall shape of a car. With some toned down design features it would look great
Matt PiccoloJul 26, 2012 This is not appealing at all!!! It's different for sure... But, not in a good way IMO
Lead PeddalinJul 26, 2012 It's different. I'll give them credit for that. I don't see it selling much though.
Tom HethJul 27, 2012 Wow, somebody glued some extra parts on a Corvette again.
Logan LeMonnierJul 26, 2012 @justin if you don't like something that's fine just don't keep repeating yourself. And the back doesn't look as good as the front
Scott LenahanJul 26, 2012 THAT has some style!! Love or hate it, you can't deny it's gone away from the boring German approach and has injected some flare and personality.
Thibault LeroyJul 26, 2012 wait is this a hard or soft top?
Alan BaarsJul 26, 2012 I like the front, but the center line 'seam' along the back end kinda ruins it.
Jason DowlingJul 26, 2012 Such an awesome looking car! Love the American retro direction. It's smart business to- could you imagine a retro styled Honda based on a 1980 Civic styling? LOL!
Tim PreisingerJul 27, 2012 Ryan, IF your implying that the CTS V is a tiny plastic sports car... The I'll take a tiny plastic sports car any day.
Ryan SansossioJul 26, 2012 I agree with jason. Finaly caddi is going back to its roots instead of these tiny plastic sportscars. I drive a deville myself, 97.
Logan LeMonnierJul 26, 2012 I wonder if they would ever sell this as a hardtop convertible. A glass roof at least would be impressive
Jordan JacksonJul 26, 2012 I think they should make the space in between the tail lights flat instead of pointed
Bobby MccrackenJul 26, 2012 Looks similar to the '68 Eldorado. Love it.
John M WeishahnJul 26, 2012 They might have to shoot another season of Entourage just to film the title sequence in this car.
Dillon DixonJul 26, 2012 Could you imagine cruising down the highway with 3 of your friends with the top down. That sounds like an epic roadtrip to me.
Cesar CalvoJul 26, 2012 Can't wait for the Mary Kay version! Lol
Wyatt GordonJul 27, 2012 @logan, that would sort of put them into Rolls-Royce territory, which, unless its as good as a Roller, would be a bad thing
Trey VillarrealJul 26, 2012 The concept must be designed for a demographic with a specific height, seeing as though the seat appears mounted to the floor.
Trey VillarrealJul 26, 2012 The concept must be designed for a demographic with a specific height, seeing as though the seat appears mounted to the floor.
Logan LeMonnierJul 26, 2012 Suicide doors would be really unique but I've heard there's a reason why they don't do them. don't remember though
Matt PiccoloJul 26, 2012 Wow! Wish the rest of this car was this nice! Sick interior
Zach PateJul 26, 2012 I believe so, Abraham. But I don't think this is too concerned about the aerodynamics.
Tin NguyenJul 26, 2012 Where can I get these seat?
Miguel JimenezJul 26, 2012 Even the pedals are nicely detailed.
Abraham MendozaJul 26, 2012 Isn't there a problem with suicide doors, like the air seeping in causing Aero issues?
Chris GainesJul 26, 2012 the interiors great... until you crash and that shelf blade beheads your passenger lol
Jordan JacksonJul 26, 2012 That's not necessarily a bad thing, I think his is an awesome interior
Phillip GreeneJul 26, 2012 first time i saw the inside of this i got a huge halo elite shrine vibe from it
Greg LewisJul 26, 2012 Suicide doors... Think it was the concept chrysler phantom that had them also ( that was a great concept ) but no one ever follows through with em....
