Kia Teases New Forte

The all-new Kia Forte is set to debut at November’s LA Auto Show.

Back in December a leaked sketch of the next-gen 2013 Kia Forte -designed by Peter Schreyer made its way online. It was hard to say at the time whether it was real or not, but these ofifical renderings released today confirm it was the real deal. The former Audi designer who penned the Picanto and GT concept for Kia has arguably delivered his greatest creation for the Korean automaker, set to replace the model that is Kia's best seller.

Known as the Cerato in some markets and K3 back home, the all-new Forte is set to debut at the 2012 LA Auto Show in November. Completely redesigned, the compact sedan will be longer, wider and lower, and represent a well-priced alternative to competitors such as the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. Kia's signature grille and headlights appear up front, with Optima-like taillights at the back. However expect the radical styling to be toned down when it is finally revealed. The new sedan will hit showrooms in early 2013, followed soon after by the five-door hatch and two-door coupe variants.
