Seems like theirs poor spending going on if you consider how popular the place is and the major automakers that rent the track that's some good money there
Thibault Leroy Jul 21, 2012
i really hope some chinese investor will buy it back :(
Grant McHendry Jul 21, 2012
This is such a sad article.;(
Bull Dogone Jul 21, 2012
Let's hope that wacko goes through with his plans to build a 'Ring Replica track in the Nevada desert. Seems impossible, considering how many manufacturers use it to prove their vehicles' mettle on the track and chasing records.
Carlos Gallego Rodriguez Jul 21, 2012
No, please, no! Not this place! Not this paradise. I would pay what ever for save the ring, but this place cannot close! Maybe all the brands can put some money, but do not let colse it! I was trying to go in september/october. Maybe it's not posible
Chris Penza Jul 21, 2012
This is the last track in the world that needs to close right now. Believe me there will be a lot of fundraisers

@"bull": I don't know what your talking about, I think it looks great
Grant McHendry Jul 21, 2012
I think it looks great!
Phillip Fitchew Jul 21, 2012
Its that kink in the rear quarter panel. I don't even like it on the sedan. And the rear overhang can stand to be shorter, more tapered.
Bull Dogone Jul 21, 2012
Hey 'Merc, don't EVER criticize American car design after building this monstrosity on 4 wheels. Looks like a space age hearse. What a waste of automotive engineering technology. Will the tasteless consumer who asked for this to be built stand up?

I thought the 5cyl was cool. No complaints about the new box, though. Sounds sweet.

Joey Leenay Jul 21, 2012
This is your idea of fresh and new? It's the exact same as every other porsche, this one just looks like they put a shed on the rear end, its not a new look in the slightest way
Rockesh Boulder Jul 21, 2012
I'm with Joey. This thing is so damn ugly, which is a shame because it's a great performer :(
