Logan DelonyJul 03, 2012 This reminds me of the 02 midget kind of
Justin RouthJul 03, 2012 Its under 4 pounds per horsepower and the car is super light. I think its gonna be great
Timothy HookerJul 02, 2012 gross. I see fail in their future
Vatsal PatelJul 02, 2012 i see a ferrari california! anyone else do too?
Ben BourdonJul 02, 2012 Looks like a car with wheels
Michael PageJul 02, 2012 It's pretty, but I'd rather have a cobra replica. That's prettier
James Patrick DelaneyJul 02, 2012 This looks awesome to me, it may have slight similar features of a BMW roadster but doesn't look like anything else IMO

Description: The 427 is 434cm long, 195cm wide, and 125cm tall and weighs in at just 1,089kg with an equal weight distribution. At its heart a front-mounted 5.0-liter V8 is rated at 439hp and 391lb-ft of torque wh...Add Comments27
Jeremy SiebertJul 05, 2012 427 will help any enthusiast know the car is an attempt at a spiritual successor...& if the original had a Ford engine, purists will want to see a Ford engine today. The new 5.0 is a fantastic performer, & maybe we'll see a 427 based of it 1 day
Jeremy SiebertJul 05, 2012 Original Cobra came with a 289, I believe...the 427 arrived later.
In any case, I agree that 427 is a bit of a misnomer, but it makes sense to some extent. Shelby's estate would sue for any use of Cobra, Shelby, SC, etc.
Phillip GreeneJul 03, 2012 Haha yeah trust me I dont it just gets confusing when you talk classics and modern the same numbers show up on diffrent setups....... Anyway the point is torque! All torque the whole torque and nothin but torque er day o the week
Mikey JimenezJul 03, 2012 @Phillip Forget that last comment. You can't mistake displacement size and block size.
Mikey JimenezJul 03, 2012 Philip are you an idiot? Big Block and Small Block make a huge difference in size, weight, and torque. The LS7 is a small block, and so is the rest of the LS line up.
Phillip GreeneJul 03, 2012 And atualy I was wrong theres a few diffrent 427 cofigurations but the ls7 was a small block my bad
Phillip GreeneJul 03, 2012 Yeah but big or small isnt really important its disacement plane and simple, individual cylinder disacment I might add (not nockin forein cars i personaly just love low end motors), and to put that numerical name plate on a car let alone a car designed after the car that made that number a house hold name means anything short of that number will be a disapointment, might be a great car might swing...
Sheldon CouchJul 03, 2012 Ford actually has made several big blocks, anyone remember the fe series engines from the 60s, 352,351,390,408,410,427,.427 cammer series, 428 cobra jet motors, and finally the 460. That car is gorgeous, great lines, and light weight and a killer small block, sounds like a win to me, plus it has an actual proper gear box, not flappy paddle crap
Stephen KraneJul 02, 2012 I know there is a 502 chevy big block and the ford 5.4 from the gt is too (5.8) now
Phillip GreeneJul 02, 2012 Not really its a stroked 396 which is a pretty big block you know like ss 396 chevelle which was before the 454 came out
Eric AlcantarJul 02, 2012 Tha LS7 is a small block, just tha biggest small block there is.
Stephen KraneJul 02, 2012 I don't think the ls7 is a big block
Phillip GreeneJul 02, 2012 Thats cuz fords 427 wasent a ligit 7.0l its was a small block bored to hell, not nockin it its been some of the best cars ever made, but an ls7 is an unmolested big block that can handle a lot more punishment, either way one if the two better be in this car by the time it goes on sale
Michael PageJul 02, 2012 The block IS the only main part a 427 and a 5.0/302 have in common.
Jordan JacksonJul 02, 2012 Gotta agree, this should have the same size engine as the car it's trying to interpret(for lack of better term)
Bruce-Almighty TumblinJul 02, 2012 Well Yea we know its not a true 427 cubic inch aluminum block
Michael PageJul 02, 2012 A 427 is bored from a small block ford, a 302 is bored from the same small block. Both engine blocks are the same actual size but a 427 has bigger "holes" and a longer stroke (up-down motion). And much more power!!
Michael PageJul 02, 2012 @bruce, the "size" of an engine is the amount of space the piston consumes in its operation. Nothing really to do with block size except how much can be bored out.
Phillip GreeneJul 02, 2012 Its a 302 or a 305 depending on the make there us a very small diffrence and big block small block I dont give a rats ass you call a car 427 and you damn well better give it four hundred and twenty seven cubic inches of displacement weather its big bore or masive stroke I dont care
Bruce-Almighty TumblinJul 02, 2012 Not all 5.0 liters Dillon, I have seen some european V-8's that's 5.0 liters but don't have a 302 cubic inch block
Dillon MageeJul 02, 2012 5.0 liters is about 305 cubic inches.
William DownsJul 02, 2012 its not suposed to be, its inspired by the cobra and it has the general shape and i think it looks very nice.. has a classic shape with some italian flare
Michael RileyJul 02, 2012 nothing like the original cobra.
