Spain doesn’t have a long supercar history, but that is slowly changing thanks to dedicated designers and automakers.

When it comes to European supercar makers, what countries usually come to mind? Italy and Germany are likely your two immediate picks. Chances are that Spain didn't make your list. If so, then you need to check out all of these Spanish supercars and supercar concepts. While some of these cars don't exactly burn up the track, they're the best the La Roja has to offer - for now.

Spain's supercar charge is being led by this beautiful machine, the GTA Spano. The GTA Spano has an 8.3-liter V10 with 820hp, and is good for a top speed of 217mph and a 0 to 60 time of 2.9 seconds. Only 99 will be built at a price of about $750,000 apiece.

The Izaro GT-E is a conceptual supercar with a green tinge. The supercar will be powered by either a 495hp electric motor, or by a 416hp hybrid motor. The GT-E is said to do 0 to 62 in under 4 seconds, have a max range of 150 miles (electric engine) and 428 miles (hybrid).

Way back in 2003, Spanish car company SEAT introduced the Cupra GT. The Cupra GT had a twin turbo V6 pushing 500hp, with a top speed of 183mph. Yes, it does look like a slower Spanish Veyron. The SEAT Leon Supercopa is powered by a 4cyl 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 296hp. Those numbers aren't exactly mind blowing, but the Leon Supercopa is still a step in the right direction.

The Advanced Design Tramontana is hand-built, and only 12 are made a year. Each of these exotic supercars is powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V12 sourced from Mercedes-Benz. With a top speed of 202mph and a price tag of $623,550, the Tramontana has European supercar written all over it.
