Holy Sinkhole! Minibus Swallowed in China
The perils of oversized potholes are nothing to scoff at.
Straight from the city of Guilin in China's Guangxi Zhuang region comes the story of a minibus driver who got the shock of his life - a huge 2 meters-deep sinkhole opened underneath his motor. The sinkhole literally dropped the minibus underneath the road confounding the Qixing district locals and slightly injuring the driver, the only person in the bus. The sinkhole measured 13 feet long, 8 feet wide and 6 feet deep.
Apparently there were heavy rains all week long which damaged the integrity of both the road and the ground underneath it, causing said catastrophe to occur. The police are currently investigating whether there is more structural damage to roads around the area.
