2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 4S Coupe and Cabriolet Coming Soon

Following the cars’ fuel ratings surfacing online, expect Porsche to officially reveal the latest 911 models very soon.

They haven't been officially unveiled by Porsche, but the fuel-economy ratings of the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 & Carrera 4S Coupe and Convertible of the latest 911 have surfaced online via the EPA website. What this tells us is that these will almost certainly be the next new Porsche 911 variants coming to the US, and as Car and Driver point out, will boast better fuel economy than the outgoing models they replace as per the other new 911 models recently released.

The only exceptions to this are the Carrera 4S cabriolet with an automatic 'box, which loses one mpg on the highway when compared to the outgoing model, and the 4S coupe with the automatic that isn't able to improve on last year's 26mpg on the highway. Carrera 4 models will be powered by the same 3.4-liter flat-six found in the 2013 Carrera, with 350hp and 287lb-ft of torque at their disposal. The Carrera 4S gets the Carrera S' 3.8-liter flat-six, which is good for 400hp and 325lb-ft of torque. Pricing details will come closer to launch, which is expected some time in the next couple of months.
