TechArt Reveals their Rear Spoiler Options for the 2012 Porsche 911

TechArt has released a pair of new spoilers for the Porsche 991 911.
German tuning firm TechArt created an aftermarket program for the 2012 Porsche 911 (991), of which they gave an official debut earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. They have returned with a pair of new rear spoilers for the German sports car, both of which give the new 911 a unique look and a bit of extra performance. TechArt sought to combine fashion and functionality with their spoiler designs. Both rear spoilers and a new front spoiler were designed for maximum aerodynamics in a wind tunnel.

The TechArt front spoiler I features an integrated splitter which reduces the lift on the front axis of the 911 Carrera and Carrera S by 11lbs when travelling at 87mph.The TechArt rear spoiler II generates an additional down force of almost 40lbs at the rear while travelling at the same speed. That impressive number rises to 168lbs when the Porsche 911 Carrera S hits its top speed of 189mph. Now that's a lot down force.
