Tanner MiddletonJun 28, 2012 how about the top secret silvia in the back :D yes!!!! but i think flips look way better
Cho DanJun 27, 2012 Clint, check out Hinson Super Cars and Granny's Speed Shop. RX-7 + Muscle: the best of both worlds!
Clint EdwardsJun 27, 2012 I'm a muscle fan to the core but I like these a lot, mainly because you don't see many that have been butchered by a high school sophmore with underglow and a wide body kit
Abraham MendozaJun 27, 2012 I like em with fixed ones, better dynamics and lighter weight. Looks good.
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 These light look good like this tho.
Abraham MendozaJun 27, 2012 I absolutely love these cars. So light and nimble.

Cho DanJun 27, 2012 Zain stated you could adjust the boost "up" to 65psi. The stock boost pressure was 5.5psi '86-'88, 7.5psi on '89 and up models. If he meant 6.5psi it wouldn't make sense.
Zain SheikhJun 27, 2012 Didn't the turbo 2 FC come with 200 HP stock ? And weighed 2800 lbs . And u could adjust it's turbos psi to upto 65 PSI with out even spending a dime . <3 rotary
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 They would have to redesign the entire motor for more liters and as previously stated the 20b is 2 liters an 26b is 2.6 liters

Phillip HolbrookJun 27, 2012 It almost looks like the bumper or hood was meant for another car. I think the good may actually be the problem, it doesn't flow with the car well.

Matt PiccoloJun 29, 2012 Enough power to keep up wit the supra, and it was heavier... And in te handling department, they were very close
Matt PiccoloJun 29, 2012 @ Ashely, no the supra had a better 1/4 mile time low 13's vs mid-high 13's for the skyline... After launch, the skyline didn't have en
Ashley LopezJun 29, 2012 @Matt, I don't think the supra had better performance than the skyline since the late 90's models beat it when it came to 1/4 mile times and over all handling.
Matt PiccoloJun 28, 2012 @ Brian, they weren't really another level, (maybe) the nsx, but the supra deffinatey, is in the same class as the skyline (90's ones) as other than the fact the gtr's had awd, the supra had equal-better performance
Scott GraceyJun 27, 2012 Skyline, NSX, supra, rx7 haha man, 90s was the time for Japanese cars
Scott GraceyJun 27, 2012 Supra! The sound of the turbos on that car, mmmm, plus stunning looking
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 RX-7, Supras are so boring compared to these cars.
Vincent ButlerJun 27, 2012 No* spell check is Ridiculous!!
Vincent ButlerJun 27, 2012 So now fortune body kit from veilside pics really carbuzz.
Phillip HolbrookJun 27, 2012 RX-7 all the way, lighter and I can't bring myself to own a Toyota. Blandest manufacturer of cars and despite the Supra their cars are just cheap. I owned an 05 Camry and I liked my 04 Alero better.
Devin BabynJun 27, 2012 I'd go for the RX-7. Never liked the looks of the supra stock but I love the look of the 7.
Alex Slo-Mo MillerJun 27, 2012 The rotary will last as long as almost anything else. People just don't know how to take care of it. Let alone tune it. I've had a few in my shop with over 100k miles on there original engine.
Matt PiccoloJun 27, 2012 I would take a supra! Looks way better IMO, more power, handles well, record holding brakes (93-04) for any production car... So it wins in the performance category and looks but that's IMO and yea, the engine will last a lot longer as stated before
Lee CascioJun 27, 2012 Supra only because I wouldn't want to rebuild the wankel every 30k miles.
Tim PreisingerJun 27, 2012 I'm not much of a Japanese import fan, but for those who are... Which would you guys rather have? An RX7 or Supra?

Ryan CardoneJun 29, 2012 Gotcha, just when I hear mid engine, I think of the more popular 'rear of driver' layout in that context. So the RX-7 is a "front-mid" layout just like Nissan's aforementioned platform.
Ben NortonJun 28, 2012 "FM" means front mid, so in front of the driver but a mid engine
Ben NortonJun 28, 2012 Behind the front axle or in front of the rear are mid engined
Ryan CardoneJun 27, 2012 Not mid-engined, just that it was located behind the front axle. This is the same as the Nissan "FM Platform" vehicles (Z, FX, etc.).
Ben NortonJun 27, 2012 Never knew they were mid engined
Matt PiccoloJun 29, 2012 @ Brian, I'm not being a hypocrit, he's saying that the flip ups suck cuz they always break, which they don't... I was saying I didn't like the fixed lights.... 2 diff things
Jonathan BowenJun 28, 2012 This is the best pic. Pop-ups FTW.
Cody GillardJun 28, 2012 love these my cousin has one in grey fun to drive also
Clint EdwardsJun 27, 2012 On a completely unrelated note, I like the look of this. Not a fan of the hid kit though, would've gone with the white ones instead
Luis MoraJun 27, 2012 Haha fighting over headlight... LoL
Phillip HolbrookJun 27, 2012 Everyone else has said my piece and at least I finally put a smiley on it to indicate sarcasm by this point. I know I've said it a thousand times. :)
Shawn SullivanJun 27, 2012 Whew! Finally the original flip up head lights! I just can't stand those damn after market fixed ones! Ha ha!
Corey Alan KelleyJun 27, 2012 Matt you've made the same comment on half the pictures
"I hate fixed headlights" or some BS
Matt PiccoloJun 27, 2012 Shut up Phillip, u already made that comment twice in this article, out of all the cars with flip up lights, I've seen one with one broken one

Julian RasolkoAug 10, 2012 Just drop a k20 in there and your set!
Cho DanJun 28, 2012 I use to bury the rpm gauge against the needle, full red zone on my '85 GSL-SE just to show my friends what a rotary could do. It never hurt the engine. Rotaries are rev happy.
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 Direction(piston motor) it is quite effortless and not extraneous on the wankel to withhold high rpms, their built to rev.
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 Then it's piston counterpart, you can sit at 8k all day with a renesis and all your doing is helping the motor and burning off all the carbon. Due to having less moving parts and spinning in the same direction as opposed to violent changes in...
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 Reving to 9k and it's dead? Please tell me where you heard that. First of all rotaries generate power through rpm, higher you can sustain it the more power, due to a 3:1 relation with eshaft and rotor, the rotor is spinning at a much slower speed..
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 Haha thanks for the shout out devin.
First of all yes the fds3 was plagued with problems but it wasn't the motor blowing up, the turbos are utter crap and led to many problems, seen plenty of FDs with over 100k doing just fine when an ADULT owns it.
Danny RodriiguezJun 27, 2012 Well mu cousins integra is revving at 10,000 and the B18 is at mint condition
And never blowed up,is knowing how to rev a engine
Devin BabynJun 27, 2012 Don't worry children No Pistons should be along soon enough to set y'all straight
Ashley LopezJun 27, 2012 Actually the rotory engine can withstand being reved at 9000 rpm for a continuous amount of time without damage because if I remember correctly the rotor is actually only spinning at 1/3 of the eccentric shaft speed.
Lee CascioJun 27, 2012 What kids can afford a fd3? The motors just are not reliable they rev so high and consume so much oil and gas.
Tim PreisingerJun 27, 2012 Danny, most motors will break if revved for 5 mins straight at 9000 rpms lol.
David McLartyJun 27, 2012 This is the common misconception that hurts the RX7 "engines blow up at 50,000 miles". This simply isn't true; the 3rd gen RX7 is plagued with many issues, most things that fail are turbo and emissions control systems. The engines rarely blow until kids get ahold of them and start tweaking things, not knowing what they're doing. Then they blame the rotary engine.
Danny RodriiguezJun 27, 2012 The rotary engine is very weak。
It can make tons of power but is delicate。
Rev it at 9000RPM for 5 minutes and its dead.
Description: Rotary engines also love to rev, since their internals aren't subject to the same sorts of stresses as a reciprocating engine, but this constant high revving had a tendency to cause problems with...Add Comments12
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 Powerful and heavier then the s2k and it was faster then it around laguna.
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 Ya all the comparisons I've seen it's the 8 that comes on top, people confuse I tighter steering ratio for better handling when that's not the case. All the SCCA and race forums I've read also agree the 8 is the better handling car. The rx8 is less
Phillip HolbrookJun 27, 2012 They've done that one a couple of times pretty sure the Miata was there for one of them, since that is what that car is known for. Will research and come back and clear it all up.
Matt PiccoloJun 27, 2012 Car and driver, an the s2k and mx5 weren't in it...
Matt PiccoloJun 27, 2012 I just spent some time researching and no, the s2k an mx5 handle better, the 8 is faster than the mx5 around a track but that is due to the mx5 not being very powerful, not that it handled better... I know the comparison that ur talkin about through
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 Agreed, though what I love about the 8 is you have to know what your doing and put in some serious work for it to be a monster. I love a car that you have to work for and understand for power not just have money and bolt ons
Phillip HolbrookJun 27, 2012 RX-8 lacks power but I think it was Car and Driver that tested best handling cars. The RX-8 came in first if I recall correctly and it was up against the Mustang, Cayman, Corvette, Evo, STi, etc. etc. etc. You point it goes end of story.
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 I say laguna because that's the only track their times where compared
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 Not correct, 8 is faster around laguna and in a handling test it beat a gt2
Matt PiccoloJun 27, 2012 Mx5 and s2k handle better than an rx7 or 8
Phillip HolbrookJun 27, 2012 RX-8 best handling car, tuned they can be beasts. Lot of people have compared their handling to a Miata.
Matt PiccoloJun 27, 2012 I agree, rx-7 is better by they're both sweet cars

Stephen Tyler LearnJun 27, 2012 Thats probably because they don't know anything about how to tune them
David Liebe HartJun 27, 2012 This article has a lot less "tuner" content than the other ones, it's more just about the stock car, which is disappointing
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 My apologies for loosing my keys to my secret R&D lab in my basement lol
Abraham MendozaJun 27, 2012 Why don't you fix it. You're a smart guy.
No PistonsJun 27, 2012 Bad mpgs due to its inefficient thermal dynamics ie one side is continuously heated while the other is cooled. So hopefully over time there will be a solution to this.
Christian QuinonesOct 05, 2012 my favorite style.I own one.Fun to drive.
Issa NaouriJun 28, 2012 FC <33 It's like candy for my eyes
John TrimbornJun 27, 2012 I bought a trashed '86 5spd at auction many years ago. it was a temporary car that got me thru a few months. I could see the potential in it if it was not on its last leg. I kinda miss it.
Stephen Tyler LearnJun 27, 2012 The wheels are different? But other than that I like this car
Andrew GrimmJun 27, 2012 Ewwww. I never liked the FCs :/
Doug SherwoodJun 27, 2012 Glen Jung's car here is certainly not a tuner, but all out serious race car that with its 3 rotor motor, it does scream, literally. Always glad to see another SCCA racer get a cool mention.
Logan DelonyJun 27, 2012 My mom had one of these and she Loved it!
Micah LauJun 27, 2012 I had one of these, it was a GSL-SE model with a 13B engine. Perhaps the favourite car that I owned. That little 1.3l Wankel wanted to do nothing but rev, and rev very high it did.
RX3's and 4's are my favorite.
Picture this; a drag race btw the R34, RX7 and a Supra. Twin Turbo Shootout, it would be so epic
