The Lawn Events are a must-see at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum.
The Larz Anderson Auto Museum is, according to their website, "America's oldest car collection." Quite a boast, however after gazing at their latest Lawn Event, you might be inclined to agree. The annual event is held every summer on the museum's front lawn, located next to Boston in Brookline, Massachusetts. Some of the best cars from early America were on display, with plenty of British cars on show as well.
The latter was the theme of the weekend and there were a few Aston Martins, Rolls-Royces and Bentleys on view. Larz Anderson, for those of you who might not know, was a wealthy American businessman who temporarily served as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan in the early 1900s. He had a strong passion for automobiles and after his death, both cars and property were donated for the establishment of the museum in his name.
