Description: German magazines AutoBild and AutomobilWoche are claiming that BMW has plans to remake the M1. The mid-engine M1 supercar was built between 1978 and 1981, with BMW shifting 460 units. Four years ago t...Add Comments4
chikenbagJun 21, 2012 did they ever actually build that homage concept, or was it just a computer model?
Edd UhlanJun 21, 2012 They said that back in 2004..
Steven VelezJun 21, 2012 true, this is amazing but most may get 1m & m1 confused (well those who don't know much about them at the least)
Chris PenzaJun 20, 2012 It must be true if the 1 series is called the 1m not the m1
Description: BMW holds trademarks on M1, M8 and M10, so take your pick for the supercar's name, while reports on the powertrain suggest a V8 capable of 600hp to 650hp. Top speed should be in the region of 205...Add Comments13
Vincent ChongJul 14, 2012 Why V10? BMW already has a V12 engine in the ultra expensive 760i
Andy ClouthierJun 21, 2012 No new M cars are N/A at this point. New m3 will be bi or tri turbo inline 6, m5 already has biturbo v8.
Alex NewgardJun 20, 2012 I would assume mid mounted?
Jon AshleyJun 20, 2012 Please make this car BMW! M10, V10 .
Jason BrowerJun 20, 2012 Except for the fact that Koenigsegg has THE highest hp/displacement ratio of any car maker. Something BMW is not know for at all. At a minimum they would need forced induction on this v8, or it would have to radically depart from N.A. BMW's of old.
Dennis ChoongJun 20, 2012 I doubt the M1 will have a titanium exhaust
Dennis ChoongJun 20, 2012 Titanium? Wonder which part of the car will utilise it.
Corey King DiFazioJun 20, 2012 Trying to out gun a super car lime the others that have been there before I think you need a v10 and get in the area between buggatti and the others which is like 220mph about
Domi BsaibesJun 20, 2012 It's gonna be one hell of a supercar!
Jesse KrimJun 22, 2012 @mattgreenlee the M performance 1 series is not the M1. It's called the 1M. They call it that for this specific purpose of having another M1
Matt GreenleeJun 22, 2012 IF this will be called the M1, then what will the current M-tuned 1 series be called? or would they stop making those?
Steven VelezJun 21, 2012 strange but nice..change the rims though
Dan ArthurJun 21, 2012 If I were to paint a beaver orange, give him some terrible wheels, drop kick it 10 yards then immediately take a picture it would be this car
Laguna SecaJun 20, 2012 So this isn't the 2015 mustang?
Jason ReimannJun 20, 2012 Anyone else see a little countach?
Das StigJun 20, 2012 I'm pretty sure this is an old concept. and, it most likely wasn't made by BMW so very little if any of this car will be in the actual car.
Jennings RengelJun 20, 2012 Hahaha more like a normal car??? Normal super car lol
Paul RobertsJun 20, 2012 It's like classic and futuristic at the same time. I like it, just make it a little more like normal cars
Abraham MendozaJun 20, 2012 I really like it, but this is a 4 year old concept, I know they'll change a couple things here and there.
Jose Miguel FernandezJun 20, 2012 It looks pretty freaking good but, the only thing I did not like we're the headlights and wheels
Mark A. YoungJun 20, 2012 It's hideous. Looks like a anteater or that thing from Ice Age.
Jordan JacksonJun 20, 2012 It looks alright, but it would be better looking if it had different wheels
Jay KolvenbagJun 20, 2012 If i'm honest I think this doesn't look really good
Alex SmithJun 20, 2012 It's looks like a 70's supercar. Which I guess pays homage to the original but I don't know about supercars going for the retro look.
George FeghaliJun 20, 2012 I feel like before the pic they actually crushed the car. That why it looks so bad
Steven VelezJun 21, 2012 seems like a bored type of nonchalant
Cody FullertonJun 21, 2012 It looks...grumpy. Not mean and menacing like an aventador, just slightly bothered.
Da StigJun 21, 2012 It looks druged this needs allahs help jk
Emmanuel MateoJun 20, 2012 Looks like this face
--_______________--
Jordan JacksonJun 20, 2012 It looks like a BMW and a Dodge challenger were combined from this angle... Lol
Hank AustinJun 20, 2012 Looks like its been hanging around the new 7... I think it's a bad influence on the other cars because this also looks very stoned... I guess this one gave in to peer pressure...
Da StigJun 21, 2012 Cooper yer f...Ed up in yer head no offense
Cooper FayJun 20, 2012 actually, i like the rims. And i like the grooves in the back that are good for aerodynamics and they also add a cool look. I think the car is awesome. Thats my personal opinion
Chayton GarverickJun 20, 2012 Those rims have to be based off the Dharma Initiative logos
Hank AustinJun 20, 2012 The rims look like they belong in a kitchen... Idk why I said that
Jarett BaileyJun 20, 2012 Reminds me of the Vector. I like it.
did they ever actually build that homage concept, or was it just a computer model?
They said that back in 2004..
