2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA Hits the Nurburgring in Light Camo

Mercedes continues to test their baby CLS, this time on the famed German track.

Mercedes-Benz is hard at work with the testing of their baby CLS, known as the CLA class. Spotted towards the end of last month on the roadways of Europe, the German brand has taken the CLA to the Nurburgring for some vigorous and thorough running on the Green Hell. Based on the A-Class, the four-door coupe looked comfortable on the Nurburgring. The CLA will share the A-Class' lineup of engines and should eventually see an AMG version make its way to the market.

As previously reported by CarBuzz, the flagship AMG model could carry a 335hp 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, good enough to rival the BMW 1-Series M Coupe. In terms of styling, the test mule CLA seen here has a bit less camouflage on since the last time we saw it. The front-end appears to be reminiscent of the A-Class while the taillights are more pronounced. The Mercedes-Benz CLA will debut later this year, possibly at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The new Merc will launch next year as a 2014 model.
