The smoke could be from anything. Spilt a bit of coolant when they topped it up, spilt a bit of oil when filling it, oil on their hands when they've been fitting the headers not to mention that most new parts come with some residue or coating on them

The amount of work that went into shoe horning those headers in place there's bound to be a little oil and grease on them . Even fresh paint on them will smoke a bit.
When the gasket is new and the engine started on the first time, always generate that smokes ...
It's call the chemicals during the build ex WD40 liquid wrench spilled oil any fluid involved with the build

Does this car actually have a bonnet? I'm sure the owners want to show off the engine at every given opportunity but I've only ever seen this car without a bonnet. Not complaining though.

This would be an awesome way to go through the pearly gates, doing 200mph (im guessing it will quite easily be capable of such speeds), backwards and on fire in a 1700hp Ford Granada super sleeper. Awesomeness at its best.

@Cody: I'm not so sure they would, Insurance here is invalid on racetracks, so the driver would have to take full financial responsibility. I know he is rich, but I doubt he is THAT rich. Besides, he doesn't have a 'egg anymore either...

He might have bought the engine from sharif him self or from the insurance company... But then again, I only remember that Tommy's car was a 'egg, not if it was a CCX or any other model...
It might come from a wrecked 'egg a few years back. Tommy Sharif bought one (norway's only I think?) and wrecked it at Rudskogen Raceway a few weeks later. I remember the 'egg people where ashamed of his driving "skills"

I loved that car and still do! That was my first car, a red V6 2.3L. In Europe that was big. Smooth ride and still, if I spot one, I have font memories.

koenigsegg only used a ford engine as the base for their prototype. it was from an f-150. also the ccx engine was not ford, it was entirely koenigsegg. they only used it in the cc (their prototype) and a far stripped down and upgraded form of one in the cc8s, but from then on its been all koenigsegg.
Well in the beginning they used ford mod engines then the started casting their own blocks so it's really a ford in a ford

i think the car looks extremly nice, its a nice classic body, may not be a sports car or muscle car but that makes it that much more unique and its very clean
It's not how he got the engine he did so what he has money.. How did he fab all that into that thing amazing job that is just incredible work even if it's not the car we would use.
