This would be an awesome way to go through the pearly gates, doing 200mph (im guessing it will quite easily be capable of such speeds), backwards and on fire in a 1700hp Ford Granada super sleeper. Awesomeness at its best.
Jordan Jackson Jun 20, 2012
This is the very definition of a super sleeper, the fact that so many people are asking why us exactly the point, you wouldn't see it coming until your staring at its tail lights from a mile away, lol
Tj Diefenbach Jun 20, 2012
lol at some of these comments. This thing is amazing
Corey King DiFazio Jun 20, 2012
That's a waste of power and ridiculous. What they should be doing is focusing on beating Bugatti for the top speed record
Den Zo Jun 20, 2012
@Cody: I'm not so sure they would, Insurance here is invalid on racetracks, so the driver would have to take full financial responsibility. I know he is rich, but I doubt he is THAT rich. Besides, he doesn't have a 'egg anymore either...
Matt Greenlee Jun 20, 2012
1700 hp!?! thats astonishing
Corey Alan Kelley Jun 19, 2012
"I'm your grandmother behind the wheel of a 1700hp ford Granada, I peel out In the drive way fish tail and grind up the side of your ricer Honda civic just before I rip a whole through the house until I finally stall out in the kitchen."
Corey Alan Kelley Jun 19, 2012
Imagine your grandma driving this bad boy that would make for an Allstate commercial
Cody Matthews Jun 19, 2012
Koenigsegg probably would relate one if it was killed.
Den Zo Jun 19, 2012
He might have bought the engine from sharif him self or from the insurance company... But then again, I only remember that Tommy's car was a 'egg, not if it was a CCX or any other model...
Den Zo Jun 19, 2012
It might come from a wrecked 'egg a few years back. Tommy Sharif bought one (norway's only I think?) and wrecked it at Rudskogen Raceway a few weeks later. I remember the 'egg people where ashamed of his driving "skills"
Cameron Duncan Condy Jun 19, 2012
Who cares where he got the motor 1700hp!!! Love the retro look and clean late 80's cars. I say good job I hope he drives this beast and not just show.
Abraham Mendoza Jun 19, 2012
No. Way. Ffffffffff...
Yves Corbeau Jun 19, 2012
I loved that car and still do! That was my first car, a red V6 2.3L. In Europe that was big. Smooth ride and still, if I spot one, I have font memories.
Calogero Rumeo Jun 19, 2012
It would be pretty sick driving this and pulling up beside a fast car and just ripping it unexpectedly.
Ken Kirtland Jun 19, 2012
koenigsegg only used a ford engine as the base for their prototype. it was from an f-150. also the ccx engine was not ford, it was entirely koenigsegg. they only used it in the cc (their prototype) and a far stripped down and upgraded form of one in the cc8s, but from then on its been all koenigsegg.
Chaz Neal Jun 19, 2012
Well in the beginning they used ford mod engines then the started casting their own blocks so it's really a ford in a ford
Da Stig Jun 19, 2012
I gave him the dang engine jk if I wer him I'd put it an a old m3
William Downs Jun 19, 2012
i think the car looks extremly nice, its a nice classic body, may not be a sports car or muscle car but that makes it that much more unique and its very clean
Dave Stewart Jun 19, 2012
It's not how he got the engine he did so what he has money.. How did he fab all that into that thing amazing job that is just incredible work even if it's not the car we would use.
Maurice Gamble Jun 19, 2012
interesting concept, but where did the engine come from !
Domi Bsaibes Jun 19, 2012
The good question is how the hell did he get the engine??
Kenneth Williams Jun 19, 2012
I think he Probly did because he thought why not. It's somthing new and never done before
William Downs Jun 19, 2012
jesse u have 1 good point how they got the engine, why put the engine in a ford why not, maybe the guy liked the body, who knows its his car and its a great idea dont hate just cause u have a problem with his idea
Jesse Davidson Jun 19, 2012
Okay fill me in carbuzz exactly how did someone get the engine of such a rare car, why in all that is decent put it in a FORD, and what is the purpose for this, hyper rat rod
Nevzat Erboy Jun 19, 2012
Even before this madness, this car had 600bhp cossie built engine.
Domi Bsaibes Jun 19, 2012
Wonder how much craftsmanship it takes
Description: A set of bigger Porsche brakes help the Granada handle all that power. Olsen calls his project the "Norwegian Zzz...Zzz Granada" and says the "driveability is like a Corolla." Tha...

That's real smart, grab the exhaust manifold and the turbo..
Michael Henderson Jun 23, 2012
The smoke could be from anything. Spilt a bit of coolant when they topped it up, spilt a bit of oil when filling it, oil on their hands when they've been fitting the headers not to mention that most new parts come with some residue or coating on them
Jordan Jackson Jun 20, 2012
The smoke is probably from the exhausts new heat wrap
Tim Preisinger Jun 20, 2012
Would love to see the look on a Ferrari drivers face when this thing blows his doors off lol
Wallyed Alekozai Jun 19, 2012
thats a sleeper lol
Jason Bartlett Jun 19, 2012
The amount of work that went into shoe horning those headers in place there's bound to be a little oil and grease on them . Even fresh paint on them will smoke a bit.
Jason Bartlett Jun 19, 2012
Lol the smoke has nothing to do with the gaskets.
Otnay Nat Jun 19, 2012
When the gasket is new and the engine started on the first time, always generate that smokes ...
No Pistons Jun 19, 2012
It's call the chemicals during the build ex WD40 liquid wrench spilled oil any fluid involved with the build
Mathew Caleb Stanfield Jun 19, 2012
Never seen a new engine smoke that bad I think he wrapped the headers
Adam Page Jun 19, 2012
That is way too much power for that car. I wanna see it moving...
Otnay Nat Jun 19, 2012
Very very nice !! Dunno how they can aquired the engine ... Fantastic indeed !
Justin Tucker Jun 19, 2012
I bet that engine cost a VERY pretty penny
Frank Dreitlein Jun 19, 2012
beautiful engine
Frank Dreitlein Jun 19, 2012
new engine smoke. normal
Maciej Moryl Jun 19, 2012
What's with the smoke?
Adam Noble Aug 30, 2012
It's an Australian built designed falcon
Matthew Reindorp Jun 19, 2012
Ultimate sleeper car?
Zaire Wilkins Jun 19, 2012
intresting from the BMW V10 placed inside the subaru 22B
Logan LeMonnier Jun 19, 2012
Yeah I thought it was a merc at first
Kenneth Williams Jun 19, 2012
That body looks very similar to the E30
Carlton Salmon Jun 19, 2012
That's how alot of Fords were found during the 70s and 80s in the UK...on bricks!!
Carlton Salmon Jun 19, 2012
Does this car actually have a bonnet? I'm sure the owners want to show off the engine at every given opportunity but I've only ever seen this car without a bonnet. Not complaining though.
Alex Vasquez Jun 20, 2012
Haha people need to do their homework more often.. European car companies borrow playforms and frames just like we do in America, for example Isuzu uses gm also. Like Chevy tracker and, Colorado and canyon.. Euro ford so happened to borrow mercedes
chikenbag Jun 19, 2012
i see William doesn't understand sarcasm lolz
William Downs Jun 19, 2012
thats cause it is a ford... read the article first before commenting, makes for less redundent questions
Jared Palmer Jun 19, 2012
Reminds me of my old Toyota Cressida
Isaac Jacob Jimenez Jun 19, 2012
That ford looks like an old Benz
Alfredo Diaz Jun 20, 2012
Probably fake tip to tie in the whole sleeper deal nicely done
Matthew Reindorp Jun 19, 2012
It's hard to believe all that with those tiny exhausts??
Kenneth Williams Jun 19, 2012
Yea it's hard to believe its a ford
Timothy Hooker Jun 19, 2012
wow thats a beautiful car
Raymond Reynoso Jun 19, 2012
It also has a hood lol
Carlton Salmon Jun 19, 2012
Much better than bricks! Lol!
Bryan Bohling Jun 21, 2012
Lol I like the license plate
SupaDupaMe Jun 19, 2012
Nice exhaust system...... Simply raw
Tanner Middleton Jun 19, 2012
id love to hear this
Jordan Jackson Jun 20, 2012
Because you would never expect this thing to blow your doors off. Shock and awe all the way, lol
Tegra1 Jun 19, 2012
Yeah did you see this bitch smoke,oh I am sure that it was a good thing for the engine. Why don't they put the motor in a better car like a mustang or even a Capri would be a better choice then the granada
Colin Dzendolet Jun 19, 2012
some monster snails under there
Jordan Jackson Jun 20, 2012
The stick... It's just a stick... Lol
chikenbag Jun 19, 2012
