2013 Jaguar XKR-S Track-Spec Testing Fast and Looking Good

Jaguar steps there game up with a track version of their 550hp XKR-S.

Jaguar has been busy readying their answer to Mercedes-Benz AMG's Black Series - the 550hp XKR-S Track Version. The powerful model was spotted by our intrepid spy photographers on the Nurburgring during the industry test day and it not only looked great but ran "some very fast laps." 550hp, aerodynamic changes and a lighter curb weight will do that to a two-door Jaguar.

The XKR-S Track Version features a deeper front spoiler with canards mounted on the sides, more outlets on a new engine hood and a very prominent rear wing. A stiffer suspension helps with track performance while lightweight racing seats and a stripped-out interior devoid of rear seats enhance the car with a lighter overall weight. The new engine hood could be indicative of some added power to the supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 from the Indian-owned British brand, however exact details are still unknown. We expect it to surpass the stock's 550hp and 502 lb-ft of torque.

The 2013 Jaguar XKR-S will be built in a limited run of only 100 units. If the logic holds true, the Track Version XKR-S will be produced in even smaller numbers.
