The Brilliant Ford GTX1 Bows at DuPont Registry Cars and Coffee

The DuPont Registry's monthly Cars and Coffee event took place yesterday and featured some guests from the goldRush Rally 4. The most notable of models that arrived at the event, however, was a black and gold Ford GTX1.

The Ford GTX1 differs from its GT counterpart most notably in the roof region, as the former doesn't have one. A new exhaust and revamped ECU allow it to reach 60mph from rest in 3 seconds flat, to 100mph in 6.22 seconds and run the standing quarter mile in 10.45 seconds at 154mph. Numbered 24 of 35, the 2005 Ford GTX1 boasts 900hp at crankshaft and 775hp at the wheels with 760 lb-ft of torque. What makes this Ford GTX1 so special is the fact that 41 major figures in automotives have signed the interior of the trunk lid. They include Marco, Mario and Michael Andrettia, Dario and Marino Franchitti, Tony Kanaan and Will Power.
