In the end all that really matters is the mustang is better than the Camero
Danny Rodriiguez Jun 25, 2012
4 hp less?????? Pffff Bitch please. You can have horses but if you don't have the acceleration balanced with HP and TQ you are getting shit. I've seen hondas, fords, chevys, etc. slice cars with more HP or TQ and they have factory interiors.
Phillip Greene Jun 16, 2012
And as far as a waranty slp and lmr both have factory waranties on there lower teir tunes so im almost positive hennessy is a certified tuning firm so this setup is probably covered
William Downs Jun 16, 2012
@phillip, thats exatly what i said. hopefully soon
Phillip Greene Jun 16, 2012
Yeah and the torque is what you need to focus on if you think the gt500 has a chance at beating a car with 100 more lbf your out of your mind, what we need now is a gt500 with an over hauld suspention and then put the two on the track
Patrick Schalk Jun 16, 2012
Laguna Seca, if you have the money to have your ZL1 tuned by Hennessey, I doubt you're worried about warranties.
Devin Babyn Jun 15, 2012
Holy shit Mikey I'm talking about this tune not the top one. Why would I even be talking about one of the other tunes
Eric Alcantar Jun 15, 2012
It makes over a 100 ft.lbs. Of torque. 4hp isn't anything really.
Laguna Seca Jun 15, 2012
So for $20k+ you get 3rd party sourced pulley/tune / headers/cai, voids your factory warranty, and still makes less HP than the 2013 GT500. $900 in parts you can source yourself and anyone can put on, save your money.
Matthew Crighton Jun 15, 2012
Clayton, I meant the HP on this is practicly double the stock HP.
Phillip Greene Jun 15, 2012
Yeah you guys are missinf the point compleatly and hennesy has mustang programs too so whats your point anyway?
Clayton Corley Jun 15, 2012
Double the horse power??? Mustangs don't have over 1,000 hp
Matthew Crighton Jun 15, 2012
Nice. Double the HP and it can actualy run with a GT500. Lol sounds cool tho.
Mikey Jimenez Jun 15, 2012
@Devin the LPE1000 is making 1,020 HP how is that not good?
Chris Watson Jun 15, 2012
I like how they have to dig into the engine w/ head and cam changes and still end up w/ 4 hp less than a stock GT500.
Michael Kozlowski Jun 15, 2012
Texas sized numbers from a Texas tuning firm, love me that Hennessey!!
Domi Bsaibes Jun 15, 2012
Yeah yeah i know john. But i don't know how much juice will a tuning company squize out from a 650 hp car. Anyway i'm looking forward to see the HPE1000 quarter mile time!
Devin Babyn Jun 15, 2012
I expected more power with all that work but I guess a gain in that much torque is good enougj
Bruce-Almighty Tumblin Jun 15, 2012
Sounds reasonable William, ill go along work that
William Downs Jun 15, 2012
i wanna see zl1 with some extra power like this against a gt500 with some upgraded suspension and see what they really can do when there downfalls are fixed
John Serely Jun 15, 2012
@domi tuned vs stock? Haha that is a little unfair. Tuned vs tuned, then we will see who wins!
Will Revene Jun 15, 2012
That makes no sense. I've seen a ford focus with a blown 455 in it that did an 8 second quarter mile. Tune any car enough and it'll be able to beat super cars. But a stock ZL1 against a stock gt500... Haha good luck.
Barry Boo Wilson Jun 15, 2012
Sweet so for 30000g (may not be that much) more you too can run with the gt500. Sorry I just had to stir the pot. I just don't get using some of these companies that charge out the yang for something you can do for half what they charge or less.
Bruce-Almighty Tumblin Jun 15, 2012
A modified ZL1 vs. a stock GT5? Is yaul serious?
Taylor Little Jun 15, 2012
This versus the super snake? I hear more fun on the way.
Matt Piccolo Jun 15, 2012
Not trying to sound like a ford fan but I'm pretty sure if Hennessy tried to tune a gt500 they'd get the same power out f it... This is good, but it's not like it hasn't been done before...
Ray Moreno Jun 15, 2012
Exactly what I was thinking! Give them Ford boys something to suck on!
Domi Bsaibes Jun 15, 2012
Mother of camaros!! Now put it against the gt 500 plz!
Phillip Greene Jun 17, 2012
Srt8 has plenty of power its got more then a camaro it just weighs way too much so either give it more power or put that bitch on a diet damnit
Greg Lewis Jun 16, 2012
I know everyone here hates the 6's, but I can do 23k and 4-5k upgrades. Not 50k+20k. And 300hp is still better than most peoples civics...
Greg Lewis Jun 16, 2012
Why is everyone focusing on the top end cars? The market for the affordable ones is what I want. Oh the srt8 got a supercharger... Big deal, I'll never own one, let alone the hipo upgrades. My 6 has little to nothing for it. Nor does ford or Chevy.
Matthew Crighton Jun 16, 2012
Micah, I agree. I just wish dodge would put some real power in the SRT8 so it could compete. But the chally has always been the nicest looking muscle car.
Patrick Schalk Jun 16, 2012
Ignorance is bliss Roger. Might at least want to know something about this car before you call it a dinosaur.
Phillip Holbrook Jun 16, 2012
Guys the magnetic suspension is from GM they can put it in any car they like. It is currently available on the XTS, CTS-V, ZL1, and ZR1. It was also on the RWD STS, and XLR. It's a phenomenal suspension otherwise Ferrari wouldn't be using it.
Roger James Franco Jun 16, 2012
I love cars, I don't ever proclaim to be an automotive genius but I know enough to get by. I wasn't ripping on Hennessy I just don't like Camaros. Deal with it
Taylor Little Jun 16, 2012
I know this is a very late response but I have nothing against camaro but I hate this body style, partial to the mustang and challenger. In the 60s-80s I like them though.
Matt Piccolo Jun 15, 2012
@ Logan... That has no affect on whether he's good with cars, if he doesn't like the car, he doesn't like the car, has nothing to do with if he is good with cars or not At ALL
Roger James Franco Jun 15, 2012
That was fun I knew I would get to all you Camaro lovers out there. Fun to read makes things more interesting.
Austin Oxner Jun 15, 2012
It is gorgeous. But I don't think anything other than five spoke wheels belong on these Camaros. Other than that, no complaints.
Micah Lau Jun 15, 2012
Please stop feeding this troll named Roger. Right now, he is sitting back with a brew having a good laugh.
Phillip Greene Jun 15, 2012
Well at least farrari took from gm I stead of the other way around... like needing help to designing there block arcitecture.... Ford
Clint Edwards Jun 15, 2012
Guys, guys, come on now. I'm sure he meant to say "it runs on dinosaurs", which is partially true
Stephen Krane Jun 15, 2012
The magnetic suspension is from the ctsv
Bruce-Almighty Tumblin Jun 15, 2012
only the magnetic suspension it has in common but that's as far as it goes lol
Paul Dickey Jun 15, 2012
Ferrari has technology from the zl1 vv
Chris Penza Jun 15, 2012
@Roger the zl1 has technology from the Ferrari 458. So that means about every car on the road is a dinosaur in your world
Craig Lafey Jun 15, 2012
Well now I have to change my pants. That looks so f'in amazing. I hope they have one at GM Carlise in a few days.
Logan Delony Jun 15, 2012
I'm with Brian. Roger must not like cars too much to hate on a ZL1 or especially Hennessy!!
Cameron Duncan Condy Jun 15, 2012
@Brian, agreed and props for no hostility.
Bruce-Almighty Tumblin Jun 15, 2012
To quote Rodney King: "can't we all just get along"! Lol
Stephen Krane Jun 15, 2012
Both the zl1 and gt500 are technical marvels from a value for money view, along with the ctsv
Ben August Jun 15, 2012
Rogerism #43: The first car had wheels. Modern cars still have wheels; all modern cars must be dinosaurs mechanically, and technically.
Cameron Duncan Condy Jun 15, 2012
Considering its in supercar territory with skid pad and slalom dinosaur is good enough for me.
Patrick Schalk Jun 15, 2012
Haha Roger is a big derp.
William Downs Jun 15, 2012
yes tue zl1 is deffinatly on the ball with the mechanical and technical, get ur facts rite child
Zeus Mocha Jun 15, 2012
Dinosaur in mechanical and technical terms? Someone's trolling, or doesn't know anything about cars. Looks wise it's debateable among the three. But saying that? You need to read up on it's spec's.
Micah Lau Jun 15, 2012
This is a sharp looking muscle car - nice work. But I still prefer the Challenger SRT8 out if the 3 from a straight looks POV.
David Munasinghe Jun 15, 2012
@ Taylor . Don't see the problem unless you don't like camaros.
Adam Wieland Jun 15, 2012
Easy there slugger, probably couldn't afford it any way so can't really complain about wasting your money on it
Roger James Franco Jun 15, 2012
Piece of s**t. Ugly as f**k and a dinosaur in mechanical and technical terms. I wouldn't waste my money on something like this.
Taylor Little Jun 15, 2012
To bad it still looks like that
Paul Dickey Jun 15, 2012
Thanks for informing us Clayton. They still need to be changed.
Clayton Corley Jun 15, 2012
Those are hennesseys wheels. They use them on everything
Logan Delony Jun 15, 2012
5 point rims would be perfect
Zeus Mocha Jun 15, 2012
Yes, I feel the same. The stock one's are so sweet.
Micah Lau Jun 15, 2012
The wheels could be a little less busy, however.
Phillip Greene Jun 17, 2012
Euro spec were retarded.afterburners look so much better
Troy Kessler Jun 15, 2012
Agree with Matt eurospec tails an just 5 spoke wheels IMO done
Lee Gardner Jun 15, 2012
I wonder if you can get those here
Zeus Mocha Jun 15, 2012
I was thinking about that as well. It may look good on this.
Matt Sutton Jun 15, 2012
Id like it with the euro-spec taillights that were in yesterdays article.
Phillip Greene Jun 17, 2012
They look awesome and like I said get behind the wheel and you will see its not hard and yes bmws are stupidly complicated if youv ever driven one youd know it takes a little too long to figure out
Paul Dickey Jun 16, 2012
Plus they don't even look good.
Paul Dickey Jun 16, 2012
Not lazy. Like I said. If im driving my 580hp track car I don't wanna have to look down and away to see my gauges. You guys can come up with every excuse to defend them but we all know they're pointless/stupid
William Downs Jun 16, 2012
there there cause the car was designed after a 69 camaro and thats where they are, plus all u need to infront of u when driving is rpm and speed, takes a split second to look at them and there easy to read. dont be lazy
Paul Dickey Jun 15, 2012
You can tell they put them there just to say their car comes with gauges.
Matt Piccolo Jun 15, 2012
Yea that wasn't smart placing
Paul Dickey Jun 15, 2012
Bad comparison. Looking at gauges compared to turning on a BMW ac. Also just no. They are pointless if I'm driving my track car I don't wanna have to look down to read my gauges.
Phillip Greene Jun 15, 2012
Its looks harder to read them then it really is but there actualy kinda cool, not nearly as complicated as gettin the ac on in a 7 series bmw
Paul Dickey Jun 15, 2012
Gauges down there are useless.
