Description: Police in Edinburgh, Scotland, are on the hunt for an axeman who was caught on camera smashing up a £200,000 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti in a local garage. Wielding an axe and a knife, the thug was ca...Add Comments12
Parker FieldJun 13, 2012 I saw one of these Sunday
Cho DanJun 12, 2012 When wealthy people are constantly demonized by the politicians and media because they are wealthy, more and more people are going to feel like they can attack the symbols of wealth. I'm sure there are people who sympathize with this nutcase.
Justin RouthJun 12, 2012 Thats more damage than the car is worth lol....
Michael DavidsonJun 12, 2012 Someone backed into my 1998 Camry at 5mph and caused almost $2500 in damage. So I can easily believe the cost to fix this.
Bob ThebuilderJun 12, 2012 Like Patrick said, Singh is a last name usuallly for Sikh men. Kaur, is for Sikh women. I'm Indian, I would know ;)
Patrick JosephJun 12, 2012 Devin. Maybe in India Singh isn't considered a proper surname. But in England it's very common.
Hank AustinJun 12, 2012 Well replacing body panels on an older Ferrari for which they probably don't make body panels for is not the easiest or cheapest of tasks...
Chris PenzaJun 12, 2012 At least it's only a 612, my least favorite Ferrari
Justin RouthJun 12, 2012 Glass maybe costs a couple hundred tires maybe $2k im sure ferraris use expensive tires. So the rest of that £40k is to fix a roof?!?! Are you kidding me thats bs
Carlton SalmonJun 12, 2012 @ Luke. I think they meant he was caught on camera doing the damage, but got away before being captured.
Luke BaileyJun 12, 2012 so how come if they caught him red-handed r they looking for him?? doesn't make sense
Devin BabynJun 12, 2012 If he's from India you guys didn't get his last name. Singh is the males middle name
Wilson LaFaverJun 12, 2012 Looks like a Porsche kinda at this angle
Description: Police confirmed they were investigating the attack, although the property developer, speaking with the Daily Record, feels little will come from their efforts: "This has been a nightmare. The ca...Add Comments3
Wyatt ClarkJun 12, 2012 Lol @ Jack! I cant figure it out either.....
Jack HigginsJun 12, 2012 Does the last sentence make sense? lol I have no idea what he means.
Hank AustinJun 12, 2012 Not counting the fact that it's going to depreciate like a rock...
Description: "The whole thing is a bad joke. I gave the garage a car worth more than £200,000 and they give me back a car that is effectively written off. The police asked me if there could be anyone who...Add Comments6
Chris PenzaJun 12, 2012 Yeah it just sounds like a case of jealousy, that's too bad no matter what car it is
Joel HayesJun 12, 2012 Not sure if a 612 is still worth £200,000 now
Matthew ReindorpJun 12, 2012 We've got a friend who's 360 challenge stradal (his daily runner) was attacked outside his house by a jealous guy and had £40,000 worth of damage to it...
Nick StiJun 12, 2012 Can't insurance cover vandalism?
Dale SchroederJun 12, 2012 Sounds more like someone had an issue with the owner of the garage and this fellow just had the rotten luck of owning the most expensive car in there.
Zachary CrayJun 20, 2012 If that were my car, someone would die for that.
Kiran RavindraJun 15, 2012 The car right behind it has its back windshield smashed out as well.
Michael DavidsonJun 12, 2012 Yeah, the garages insurance will pay for the damage.
Antonio FalsettiJun 12, 2012 A lot of time if not alway when the roof of the car is damaged its considered totaled. You can't just unbolt the hood and put a new one on like you can with a fender. The roof is part of the structure of the car. Looks repairable though.
Cody GillardJun 12, 2012 i didnt like this ferrari but my god does that suck
Colby ChurchJun 12, 2012 The answer as to why he did it is simple, he was extremely jealous that someone had something nice. Some stupid people just can't stand for other people to possess nice things, therefore they think if they mutilate it, it will make them feel better.
Micah LauJun 12, 2012 Well if it isn't my main man Mr. Buttersnaps. Sure it can be repaired, and it will likely drive as it did before, but it will never feel or look exactly the same as it was. There will be lingering psychological effects.
Ghee ButtersnapsJun 12, 2012 There's no chassis or engine damage, so it's not written off. Expensive, but definitely repairable
