Brand New Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition Stands Out at AMI Leipzig

Set to arrive on showroom floors this fall.

At the Auto Mobil International (AMI) in Leipzig, Germany, this week Volkswagen revealed the Beetle Fender Edition. The branded special edition Beetle turbo with 200hp and 207lb-ft of torque pays tribute to legendary American guitar manufacturer, Fender. A few features of the Beetle (A5) that immediately catch the eye are the chrome Beetle Fender Edition badging, 18-inch "disc" alloy wheels and a 400W Fender sound system with USB interface.

The special edition model also comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a "Sunburst" two-tone wood design dash panel which emulates the iconic finish found on so many Fender guitars. The 2013 VW Beetle Fender Edition will go on sale in certain markets around the world including Europe and the U.S. from this fall, with pricing to be announced at a later date.
