Aston Martin DBS Ultimate Revealed Online

Marking the end of the current DBS, the Ultimate edition is expected tol be limited to 100 models.

The DB9's successor is set to be revealed in the summer and a high-performance variant of the luxury grand tourer is expected to follow soon after to replace the DBS. As such, Aston Martin are working on a couple of special edition models to mark the discontinuation of the current versions. The first of these will be the DBS Ultimate, limited to around 100 units and available in both coupe and Volante bodystyles.

Each car will be individually numbered, featuring special badging, and a host of other unique elements such as a painted rear deck-lid spoiler, carbon-fiber detailing on the wing mirror caps and headlight surrounds, a darkened grille, smoked taillamps, Zircotec-coated exhaust tips, and painted brake calipers in yellow, black or red. The cabin gets diamond-quilted stitching on the leather seats, and an Alcantara headliner in red or silver thread. Carbon Black II, Quantum Silver or Silver Fox are the choice of exterior paint finishes, and customers will also have decide on a manual or automatic transmission.

Pricing details and availability have yet to be announced, though it's expected 30 units will be headed to the US. A five percent premium over the standard DBS' $268,660 price tag as per the Carbon Black special edition is a fair estimation of its price, so somewhere north of $270,000.
