Suzuki Splash Refreshed for 2013

The faclifted model will officially launch next month, when more details are expected.

It's been four years since the Splash was unleashed on the public, and now Suzuki has decided the time has come for a facelift. The photos were released on the carmaker's Japanese website, and we can see some minor visual tweaks. Up front a redesigned front bumper is sporting a new grille and stretched fog lamp housings, while at the rear, the new bumper has been given fake air outlets and the tail lamp graphics have been refreshed.

Interior upgrades are apparently limited to new upholstery options and decorative trim. Although these revisions are for the JDM, European models are expected to get identical exterior and interior upgrades. The Splash was jointly developed by Suzuki and Opel, based on a slightly shorter wheelbase of the Swift platform. In Europe it comes with a choice of two engines: a 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers 67hp and a 1.2-liter four-cylinder good for 93hp.
