Then AMG Mercedes took a C63 AMG to Laguna Seca for a spot of drifting in order to celebrate two million video views on their dedicated YouTube channel. Now Audi have gotten in on the act, celebrating reaching 500,000 German Facebook fans by sending endurance racer Dindo Capello, one of Audi's 24 Hours of Le Mans pilots, to Barcelona in order to pump out some donuts in an R8.
He ends up leaving a special message on the tarmac using the current R8, which is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 that delivers 518hp and 391lb-ft of torque. The future model is expected to manage 533hp and be mated to a new seven-speed dual clutch S-tronic transmission.
