The GT-90 was a horrible car so they canceled it. They could of kept going and made it work but that would of been expensive
Chris Penza May 31, 2012
I thought the gt90 went over 220?
Jerry Cole May 31, 2012
ddnt the GT90 have a top speed of about 35 mph?
Alec Lindgren May 31, 2012
David the GTX-1 was made in low numbers by special order by Ford
Kenneth Williams May 31, 2012
They should do an article on cars that should've but never made it to production. GT-90. Used to be my favorite car
Description: The 1978 Geneva Motor Show is remembered for the unveiling of the Dome Zero. Anyone lucky enough to have seen this amazing creation surely would have felt their heart skip a beat. The end game for th...

Bob Jones Jun 09, 2012
Have it on gt5 it sucks
Dom Nolan Jun 04, 2012
Oh dear. Why did dome try to copy the countach? And why did they give it like 150hp
Evan Wolfe Jun 02, 2012
I first saw the Dome Zero (D'o-Mei) in Auto Modellista
Ben Bourdon Jun 01, 2012
Oh shit that's right! It was in Sega GT 2002, what a weird little car...
Peter Mark Gacek Jun 01, 2012

Pratik Parija Jun 01, 2012
Love to drive it in Gran Turismo 5
Austin Harris Jun 01, 2012
It's called a dome I only know that from GT5
Dale Schroeder Jun 01, 2012
I wish they had a picture of it with the headlights up, they're really strange looking.
Mark Reider May 31, 2012
I have mine maxed out on GT5, around 200hp, lol, it sucks!
Chris Penza May 31, 2012
I wanted this when I had gt4 but I didn't get it before my ps2 broke
Abraham Mendoza May 31, 2012
Saw it in GT4 and tried so hard to get it, then I got it GT5 and laughed a lot.
Jerry Cole May 31, 2012
i 1st saw this in a very old game called Auto Modellista.
Steve Waskiewicz May 31, 2012
This is awesome. Would love to drive it around for a day just for the looks. Lol
Jack Higgins May 31, 2012
Me too. First time I saw this was in gt4
Henz Herrero May 31, 2012
Haha yup.. I have one on gt5.. This thing is super ugly.. Wtf?
Nicolai Stålstrøm Dalen May 31, 2012
I remember this one. Used to drive the shit outta it in Gran Turismo 4.
Logan LeMonnier May 31, 2012
That's actually really cool
Micah Lau May 31, 2012
Drop the front and you could easily clear snow with this thing.
Kenneth Williams May 31, 2012
Yea I remember this car.
Trey Villarreal May 31, 2012
Super wedge. If you were to hit someone going 60 in this thing it would cut them clean in half.
Bull Dogone May 31, 2012
Remind anyone else of a Platypus ? Long flat bill...
Rockesh Boulder May 31, 2012
I have this is Gran Turismo 5 :P
M 616 May 31, 2012
im sure i had a matchbox version of this
Sam Oglesby May 31, 2012
There was worse around in 1978
NalaKing May 31, 2012
I see a Lamborghini Countach.. and a Jalpa
Cody Jacques Jun 02, 2012
well... aside from your decapitated feet planted in the spot where you once stood.
Ben Bourdon Jun 01, 2012
Looks pretty pedestrian safe too. You get hit by one and you just slide up the front over the car
Pratik Parija Jun 01, 2012
It's a different design but cool to drive in Gran Turismo 5
Hunter Paff May 31, 2012
The dome is on Gran Turismo 5 and it's pretty cool
Abraham Mendoza May 31, 2012
I like it a lot, a DOME was involed in racing for sometime, I wonder how it drives?
Jerry Cole May 31, 2012
ok, now that read one looks kick ass
Domenic Sergi May 31, 2012
Hell yeah it's cool, especially for 1978.

400hp seems reasonable for 200+mph. But not much over 200
Devin Mortenson Jun 01, 2012
Notice the 0-60 isn't that special probably because the gearing is set up for a high top speed instead of super fast exceleration
ShaneVenhorst May 31, 2012
The car looks pretty aerodynamic, so it's possible it could've hit 200. Aerodynamics have a huge play at speeds that great, like the previous poster said, the McLaren hit over 240 with just over 600hp.
Kris C. Lopez May 31, 2012
You say that but the f1 sailed passed the 240 barrier with just 200hp more
Jack Higgins May 31, 2012
NFS 2 was fun. New ones suck
Tin Nguyen May 31, 2012
There's no way this car can go pass 200mph. The hp will run out before it reaches that mark. Torque pulls the car forward and hp keeps the car running.
Nick Sti May 31, 2012
Only 400hp out of 6+L?
Brady Jacoby May 31, 2012
That's what I was thinking. 400 hp for 215? I don't know if I believe that. Maybe if it was on a dyno and no wind?
Lou Guerrero May 31, 2012
Pretty high top speed for power/weight.
Bob Jones Jun 09, 2012
How did it fail sounds like a nice car
Austin Bride Jun 01, 2012
It came before the pagani so no. Not pagani shaped
Phil Johnson Jun 01, 2012

Mark Reider May 31, 2012
Reminds me a little a the XJ220.
Kris C. Lopez May 31, 2012
I fell in love with this car when I was a little kid it's good to see it again
Brandon Carr May 31, 2012
For how thick they are I hope they house missiles and machine guns! Jk, this thing looks pretty close to an earlier version of the cerrera gt.
Stan Mitchell May 31, 2012
Pagani shape and doors.
Raymond Reynoso May 31, 2012
Those are the thickest doors I've ever seen
Micah Lau May 31, 2012
Those are speed holes (words of wisdom from our good friend Homer Simpson).
Buddy Robinson May 31, 2012
Save the holes in the rear bumper, this looks good

Mark Reider May 31, 2012

Edin Beka May 31, 2012
Looks like one of those little car toys that you get in a Happy Meal. LOL
Henz Herrero May 31, 2012
Haha wtf funny comment below me.. But really wtf is this thing?? Is it rear wheel steering?
Micah Lau May 31, 2012
The front's design is inspired by fugly, the rear by WTF.
Hank Austin May 31, 2012
If I was a kid in the 70's I don't think I would've wanted this
Nick Rios May 31, 2012
I would like one
Brady Jacoby May 31, 2012
Massive twin turbo v8 in that...?
Carlton Salmon May 31, 2012
Saw this at the 1977 Motorfair. It was the black version and was star of the show at the time. How times have changed!
Lou Guerrero May 31, 2012
Glad this was lost in time.
Carlton Sofocusedon Green May 31, 2012
Oversteer anyone?
Sam muscat May 31, 2012
Must've been inspired by the 6 wheeled tyrell f1 car
Eric Henning May 31, 2012
2:98 weight distribution
Wmg Chinchilla May 31, 2012
Simultaneously terrible and cool.

Thad Macaranas May 31, 2012
It looks like a Ferrari.
Tom Mcleod May 31, 2012
Back looks kinda like a Veloster.
Malachi Monteiro May 31, 2012
Ah, this car should be in a porno
Wmg Chinchilla May 31, 2012
It's rather beautiful.
jester May 31, 2012
I would buy a reproduction of that. Especially if it stayed under $120 grand and had an updated power plant and suspension.
Hank Austin May 31, 2012
Out of all of these this is the only one I really like
chikenbag May 31, 2012
wow, that's sexy
Bull Dogone May 31, 2012
Most production looking vehicle so far.
Jarett Bailey May 31, 2012
DeTomaso Mangusta inspired for sure!
Esam Mohammad May 31, 2012
