Although undoubtedly good looking motors, they also lack the sophistication of modern pony cars in terms of reliability, performance and technology. Officially designated by Shelby Automobiles, the new, limited production, Shelby GT500CS Convertible can be yours for the price of a donor car and a few extra bucks. Any 2005 to the current 5.0-liter Mustang Convertible will suffice. Retrobuilt will then replace the entire exterior bodywork, except the doors, with new fiberglass body panels and plenty of little details such as retro chrome trim, taillight covers and door handles. They also fit custom HID headlights, vinyl striping and a Shelby wheel & tire package. There's also a racing option that comes with a supercharger system, Baer brakes and lowered suspension.

The new Mustang platform leaves the Retrobuilt conversion with slightly odd proportions but it still looks great and there won't be many things like it on the road.
